Right now I'm using imoseyon's kernel, but I was just wondering if you guys had any better luck with any of the other kernels.
I have always used imoseyons kernels cause they are great but I have had great success with ziggy's latest that is baked into gingeritis 3d. It really doesn't need tweaked but of course I had to tweak just for fun using script fusion. It's the fastest, smoothest ROM I've used. Only problem is that you can't flash it by itself.
I just recently started using jdkernel on CM7 and its been pretty sweet so far. Good battery life, excellent performance. I recommend for those on aosp ROMs.

Im using Cm7 and I have used OMFGB. I didn't notice any significant differences between them in speed, stability, or battery. What are you guys running. Im a fan of the CM7 kernel as the GPU (and FPS) scores are great. Getting 46 fps in nenamark and 26 using leanKernel. Other than the kernel how are they different. I've been to all their respected websites but am undecided. Suggestions?
I tried thunderbread and it was nice aesthetically, but I went back to cm7 with kangbang kernal. Only problem I have with cm7 is the super low call volume.
Thunderbolt CM7 Kang Bang
i left CM7 because my 4g would still flip out occassionally. havent used omfb though.
I'm using liquid thunder bread with imoseyon kernel 3.3.7 and its running great.
I am running OMFGB 7-16 with imo AOSP kernel 3.5.2 (extreme + interactiveX). Very stable and easy switch 3g or 4g. Running very solid!
Omfgb. Nuff said.

I just picked up a Vibrant, coming from a sprint htc hero, and I'm looking for some opinions on what rom would work best for me.
My main concerns are;
-Stability
-Speed
-working GPS
-battery life (doesn't have to be great, but I don't want to charge twice a day either)
I'm willing to go without some customization options if it means a more stable and fast experience. The phone is currently on the stock 2.1 so my guess is anything will be an improvement. What do you guys suggest?
Simply Honey 5.1 w/ 1.2 Bullet kernel. Badass Rom \m/
I'm having the best succuss to date with Simpply honey, 5.1.
Some users find that the GPS may never be stable, others don't have any issues.

Any thoughts on the battery life on simply honey? I seem to remember reading some real gripes on the battery use.
Project V with immortality or dead horse kernel is BEAST. It's been running stable for the past 2 weeks.

I haven't ran across toxic7 yet, I'll have to check it out.
I think many will agree, Bionix 1.3.1 is one of the most stable roms created for the vibrant. Pair that up with an undervolted kernel, such as bali, overstock, or superdragon_modz, and you got yourself stability heaven with decent battery life and GPS. My $.02. I'll include the links if you want to check them out.
Rom - Bionix 1.3.1
Kernel - SuperDragon_MODZ
Kernel - Bali
Kernel - Overstock

My vote goes to Bi-winning V3. Its super smooth and fast with zero issues. Battery life is good, and it comes with the Bullet kernel that is capable of over clocking if your into that.
I started with Axura, went to bionix - both ran fine. GPS got within 60 feet on average. Hey - a garmin it ain't -
Tried a few GB ROMs, but since GB isn't 'out' for t959, I had concerns re: compatibility to the phone itself using a ported rom. Un-bricking is not how I want to spend my time!
Currently using ToXiC 8 with Immortality kernel and Clean and Shiny theme. Fast. Stable. Using it since day 1 and no rom-related fc's. I tried the scripts jcc provided, but couldn't really see a difference. Battery life after calibration is great. I can use it all day without reservations. GPS will lock quickly, however no matter what ROM I've used, GPS always under-reports highway speed by ~2mph. After applying fixes that Jcc suggests, this phone is great.
Hope this helps.
did anyone knows best rom and kernel combination for OC depends on performance and life battery??
thx
Infected eternity ROM with infected anthrax kernel is my favorite

I have been using eternity + infected as well. A reboot or two here and there but otherwise pretty much flawless. Battery life and performance at a great balance.

i tried that combo and it works good but noticed that my wi-fi wont scan?
I've tried just about all of them and I've found the ones with the "cutesy" names like "Osmosis", "Diphtheria", "AIDS", and so on are unreliable at best. I run CleanROM 2.9.5 with the bcblend kernel and I OC to 1.72Ghz. I get benchmark scores as good as the tricked out, tweaked ROM's and often faster... with better battery life.

I've been running Viper ROM, and have run with three current kernels. Currently running kernel integrated with ROM.

What do you guys think the best ROM for the Atrix 4G is? I was using Neutrino 2.1p and then jumped on the ICS bandwagon with the ICS port (Its still in Alpha - heavily under development).
Neutrino has to be one of the best ROM's I've ever experienced. It's well maintained and has a host of performance improvements.
The ICS alpha is going well but its a long way away from matching the maturity of Neutrino.
Neutrino v2.2 with faux123 latest kernel at 1.45ghz ROCK solid performance.

Do you have it OC'd at 1.45? How's the stability? I used Neutrino GT OC'd at 1.3 and it was super stable.
i was almost on every rom and i still think that stock rom is the best...
maybe MIUI...when it'll come out on a full version and not alpha/beta.
If you can do without a camera the alpha 7 build (non 2d version) has been pretty solid
I have Arabic rom with Faux kernel 1.3 OC with full Ubuntu for Webtop and I am happy

CM7 (weekly builds have fingerprint unlock) is the best.

In my personal tests, Alien works the best for me. I tried CM7, did not like it whatsoever. Neutrino, surprisingly, wasn't giving me very good performance. All in all I think Alien in the best...if only it had stable HDMI mirroring...

If you like all the functions of your Atrix working.
Wet Dream or The Dark Side are the best in my opinion.
Both are by the same dev and are fast and stable for me.
Right now I'm playing with cm9 kang until I need camera
Currently running Jokersax cm9 kang alpha 0.23.2

I'm currently using faux123's 023 kernel and I was wondering if there's a big difference between that and 024r? Thanks.
I'm a fan of MIUI, has a nice clean, finished look to it. However a little bit too iphoneish so I replace the launcher.
ICS rom is coming along very nicely, in fact I obtain the best battery life of any Atrix rom, including stock, while running ICS. This is fantastic since it's still just in the alpha stages and will only improve from here.

Could I suggest we make one of these threads/polls a sticky? The Atrix Dev forum seems to move very fast and would be good to have one thread for people to give their recommendations?
Neutrino 2.2 ftw btw
Hello. Can I get some suggestions for the fastest ROM and kernel combination for the fascinate? I have looked all over Google but honestly couldn't find anything relatively new. I want something that can handle a decent overclock, is stable, and is very fast so I can play games with no lag. Any suggestions? I honestly would rather GB over ICS but if getting ICS is what it takes to get maximum speed, then I will go for it. But I would appreciate GB Rom and kernel combinations and ICS ROM and kernel combinations along with some pros and cons of each. That would be great. Thank you!

CM7 and 9 are pretty fast. I'd stay away from JB for now, as it is surprisingly slow. MIUI has good looks and speed but gets literally HALF the battery life CM9 does. The only kernel in town for CM7 is Glitch, witch is a good one. For ICS you have a choice between Devil Kernel and IcyGlitch. Devil has more features and is my preferred kernel, especially since IcyGlitch as the buggy TWRP recovery.
I like aokp m6 with the devil kernel. very fast and stable

Honestly, Helly Bean ROM version 20120807 isn't slow at all. It supports a 1.4GHz overclock and runs 4.1.1. Unlike other ROMs, HB uses /datadata partition to make things quick and smooth. However, no kernel uses /datadata, so the stock kernel has to be used. But i love it.
