Use full package files to downgrade to 2.3.3 .
They can be found at samfirmware.com
same problem here. samfirmware only has one package for kpn

Install clockwork recovery or Root toolbox or any other root tool and click on "FIX PERMISSION" this option is available in the advanced menu somewhere
this is what i did when my apps got forced closed... It worked for me, might just work for you guys aswell!
When you flash 2.3.3 and start phone it always show force close
juat switch off phone go in recovery mode and factory resate and wipe cache and reboot your phone started
No matter from which rom u came, if u installed kpn, u need to wipe data partition/cache via recovery to make it work. That error is from google account setup process. Trust me, do a wipe data/cache and that error will gone for good.

You can backup first all your applications, SMS and contacts (I'm using MyPhoneExplorer from Market to do this)then try flashing using the latest Flashtool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746&highlight=2.1.A.0.435
i have been up all night trying to look for possible solutions to my phonebook and calling errors but to no avail...could anyone instead point mo to the right direction...i would want to flash my phone and restore it to its original stock settings...whenever i try the flash tool, it seems it couldnt find the ftf file for my baseband...when i tried the flasher included for my baseband.46 it doesnt restore everythinng to its original state...

One option but not work all time
remove bettery and connect phone to pc and open odin
then press home+volume down+power buttons and hold and tell someone to put bettry in phone
if odin detect your phone then flash firmware
otherwise have to go at servise centre
why you afraid to go there even i bricked when im newbie and repaired by service centre
Thanks nims11, I will try it & if that don't work I will have to go to service center. I m not afraid of it but it is too far from my place
No way just by installing Superuser can your phone be bricked. Take the battery out for 10 secs and Press power and home for 5 secs it will enter recovery. Format data and cache

Jekle_Ace , let me explain u full scenario. Yesterday I installed latest firmware 2.3.4 (Asia version as I am from india) through odin & everything worked very well. After that I followed the steps to Root it using the script given on this thread
forum. xda-developers. com/showthread.php?t=1034145
That also worked very well. Next I wanted to restore all my apps, so I installed Titanium backup from market but now it asked me to download busy box, I clicked on & it asked me to first update the Superuser app which I installed through the script, so I updated it & after update completed, my phone went off after that it is not booting anymore

No. Just because one rom won't work doesn't mean all of them won't. It doesn't hurt to try (if you do it right).
but why it wont backup my current original sgs2 rom ? ...and why it wont unroot ?
Have you tried backing up your rom via rom manager?
Nothing against that rooting tool but you should spend some time on the specific SGS II forums and read the Q &A 's there.
If you want to "unroot" simply flash back to stock using Odin.

Is your device even rooted? It sounds like its not rooted since all rom flashing and backups fail and also unrooting fails - all signs of a non-rooted device. Install this app to check: https://market.android.com/details?...wsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5qb2V5a3JpbS5yb290Y2hlY2twIl0.

The thing with recovery mod is weird.Sometimes I can, sometimes I cannot. But when I can,it can only be a previous version of 6.0.1.2 flashed with odin and not 6.0.1.2.Right now I m trying and I cant get into recovery.I searched the official jellybean 4.1.1 for my country (greece) but cant find it and dont know what to do.:/
hi!
perhaps you had a bad download of V17.1? you may try checking the md5 sum....
i suggest you do a clean install, flash the superwipe for arhd which is found in the OP, and then flash arhd again

I didnt download the file again because I checked it immediately after I downloaded it.When I managed to boot into recovery mod(the older version)I flashed the rom again and my phone booted normally.I think that the problem-my fault-was that I flashed 15.2 over 17.1.I dont know if the problem caused by the older rom or the older kernel or the tweaks but it belongs to past right now. After that,I updated to the latest version of cwm via ROM Manager from PlayStore.

Hello Everybody;
First of all I d like to say that I am very new on this so forgive my ignorance.
This is the situation:
I am working on a stock Galaxy S2
I have rooted it successfully..I think....
Now I would like to install a new ROM but I get error messages. I have researched and it looks like my CWM is not up to date. I have the V 6.0.2.7.
I have followed instruction on the net and so far I have either got error messages or got my PC infected with viruses while downloading the zip files. Very frustrating.
Could you please let me know how to get a ROM to my S2 and what ROM is recommended.
Thanks a lot
I really need your help on this one...i spent 3 hours yesterday removing a virus I got from downloading a malicious software while I was trying to get a ROM...
