Can u tell me how to re flash my Galaxy Tab 10.1 3G?
First of all, which is my firmware (as it says in "About phone")

What do I need and what's the procedure?

Hello Guys,
can some one please help me in rooting the phone and installing ICS resurruction remix or to the latest version applicable...
I looked up on the Internet and there is so much information where I am getting confused, can some one give me a hand in finding the correct update applicable.
Current version/About Phone:-
Model NUmber:- GT-I9100
Android Version:- 4.0.3
Baseband version I9100XXLP1
Kernel Version:- 3.0.15-I9100XXLP1-CL57619 [email protected] #3
Build number:- ICS.XXLP2
one of my friend did the update without complete knowledge, my phone was not even rooted, I had 2.3.3 Version (intial version when I bought the phone a year ago)
Current problems - I cannot get 3G signal (data network doesn't turn on)
Let me know If any further informaiton is required.
Thanks a lot in advance
Root your phone with CF-root Kernel (CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_LP1-v5.2-CWM5.zip)
download from the link in my signature and flash as per the guide on the thread,
then install your favorite ROM from CWM,
if the 3g issue is a software diffect, it will be solved by flashing new ROM,
otherwise service center....
I just bought a SHV- E160k Note (2nd hand) and had been converted into SGH-I717 model.. but the baseband version is still SHV-160k.FA04.1942.KT .. can i flash I717 Rom on this one? since its still on 2.3.6 version and i got some problems with my data connection.. it cant connect to mobile data even though the mobile data has been already ticked.
its really weird, the back of the phone says SHV-E160k but the Model Number in About phone says SAMSUNG-SGH-I717, Android Version 2.3.6 and the baseband is SHV-160k.FA04.1942.KT.. build number is KoXDA_Teamleader V1.0 ... its already been rooted when i bought it, but i don't know what CWM and ROM to flash :/
Sounds to me that you need to check your APN settings and make sure they are correct for your carrier
(I tried to ask this clarification on the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1069727, but being a newbee, I have to come here!)
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 obtained in India, in 2011.
Recently I rooted it, and flashed with Cm10. But due to some problem it ended soft-bricked.
I recovered it with heimdall (oneclick.jar), and restocked it using Odin3 v1.7, with firmware obtained from another thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1881981) on xda-developers. (I have not gone on to the overcome part, since I was doubtful about the phone/modem file to be flashed!)
Now the tab shows:
Firmware version: 2.3.3
Baseband version: Unknown
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7 [email protected] #2
Buildnumber: GINGERBREAD.XXJQ1
So my doubts are the following:
1. Which of the modem files/ firmware listed in this thread should I use to get the phone/3g connectivity, which I was using?
Should I use the JPZ or JP4 or some other modem? How to determine this clearly? (or can I use the reply "priyana - 4th May 2012, 01:21 AM" to Ganesh2606?) on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1069727
2. Will the tab be bricked if I flash a wrong modem file? If it is not bricked and if the first one is not correct, can I flash another modem?
3. The Serial number, IMEI, IMEI SV numbers, and WiFi, Bluetooth mac address are all currently blank/ 'unavailable'. Will it be OK once I install the correct modem?

Hey,
my S3 4.2.2 has the baseband (modem?) I9300XXELKB running CM 10.1.3-RC2-i9300, kernel 3.0.64-CM-ge8aa6a7 [email protected] #1
I tried looking over at SamMobile for the Firmware I9300XXELKB but I can't find anything, only XXELLA? When I got the phone it was unbranded and unlocked, first boot was in french. Does it matter which Firmware I download? or can I just go with any carrier 4.2.2?
4.2 was never released for the i9300, just flash the latest available for your country. Backup your efs first then factory reset after flash.
Hi, I was given a Galaxy S2 I9100 with baseband version I9100BOKJ1 T-mobile that has android 2.3.5 installed.
So, I wanted to update it to 4.1.2 through OTA but it says that there are no updates available, what are my options?
Can I just install an official 4.1.2 stock rom through odin? If so, what 4.1.2 stock ROM is compatible with this phone? Thanks!
Yes, you can flash a 4.1.2 stock ROM via Odin. There are plenty of stock ROMs on the internet for our device, most of them are on sammobile.com, but you need to sign in to use it. A simple Google search will show its results. Try to find a ROM matching to your region/carrier.
Think about making a backup of your baseband. There are guides on the internet. If you get big problems with GPS or signal strength with the new ROM, you can flash it back. Some people report the stock baseband solves GPS and signal issues, nevertheless it didn't change anything for me when I tried around switching basebands.
Hope this helps.

Some regions didn't get JB update at all. You can flash your phone using odin.
Go to below link find a none carrier firmware download and flash.

My current rom is xwlsw.
And don't try AOSP stock is always the best.
