I have attempted to install with rsd lite version 5.3.1 and it gives me two options at first. Decompress, or decompress and start flashing. Of course I said install, however it said the "no supported files in zip file"
What am I doing wrong? I have been searching for instructions on how to install but havent found any, which is the only reason I am posting. Pleas help!
You must use BSR (system recovery) app to install eclipse. RSD lite is used to SBF your phone back to stock. In the X2 DEV Forum's [REF] post you can find most of the links. If you can't find instructions on flashing eclipse, instructions for flashing one of the other roms available should give you the idea how it is done. heres a link to the above mentioned post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1110389
hope this helps
This should do it for you.
Install Instructions:
[1] Place CorteX2_vXX-signed.zip at the root of your SDCard
[2] Boot into recovery
[3] Wipe Data & Cache
[4] Wipe Data & Cache (Yes do it again)
[5] Wipe Dalvik Cache
[6] Install zip from SD
[7] Reboot
I decided to install it as an update and see what happened and it worked. Thank you guys!

Just FYI. Flashing a rom is like what you did to get prerooted gingerbread if that's how u got rooted gb. Just choose the rom.zip you want and flash it. But be certain you are not flashing a rom designed for 2.2.2 when you have a 2.3.3 rom base. Could mess up/brick ur phone.
and I don't recommend trying to many "let's see what happens if I do...." its just asking for trouble. Research is vital.

I finally managed to root my TBOLT with easy root, the latest version he put out last night. I made it through step 3 which just said congrats you have rooted, or w.e then it says flash clock world and i get "error occurred while attempting to run privative commands" any help for this?
In rom manager you have to check delete cache, then install latest version of CWM.

Thanks!
I guess the way to Flash a ROM is to place a Custome ROM in the SD Card and Use ROM Manager to Reboot into Recovery and Flash with Clockwork Recovery?
Or Can I select Install ROM from SD Card option in ROM Manager.....?

you can do either. I prefer to just boot into recovery, so I can wipe data/factory twice, and wipe cache, and delvik cache twice. then flash a new rom.
the second way you mentioned is more automated, but I don't feel is a thorough.
I tried all the steps but sometimes it just takes a simple reboot.
I'm having problems because I don't think the ROM is flashing correctly. Some apps are missing that say are include with the ROM. Should I Odin back to 2.1 and do the process all over again starting fresh?
Also checked the build number on my phone and it reads "MIUI-unknown" HELP!!
Are you flashing the "Original" MIUI first and then going to the "ReVaMpEd LITE"? If not then ODIN to 2.1 and Flash that first. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the only install directions in the OP are "If you are coming from a MIUI ROM". The "Original" MIUI download link is in the OP of the "ReVaMpEd LITE" thread. Good luck!
Flash the latest MIUI following the cm7 install instructions.
Then flash revamped following the revamped instructions.
FOLLOW THEM EXACTLY.
"Format system" is not factory wipe.
It is located in mounts and storage.
Vibrant+MIUI
Well see I'm already on MIUI Revamped and what I'm having problems with is that every week that a new release comes out I flash following the instructions in the OP but the ROM doesn't flash correctly I guess.
Thanks again guys/gals for your help.
Once you're on it the updates should be pretty easy. Just flash like any other ROM. Good luck!

feel free to PM me with any questions.
Ive been on revamped for weeks now Ive got it down pretty good.
Odin back to stock.
Root your phone again.
Redownload the rom and delete the old one because it may just be a bad download.
Wipe data/factory reset
Go into recovery and go to mounts and storage.
Format system, data, and cache.
Go back to the main recovery screen and go to "advanced".
Wipe Dalvik cache then go back to the main recovery screen.
Go to install zip from sdcard and reflash the rom.
Flash the kernel of your choice that is compatible with the rom.
Go to advanced and "fix permissions".
Reboot and let it sit for 5 minutes if you have the patience.
Enjoy
Thanks peeps!
Update:
Just re-flashed and everything works now :b
hello to all
well i have tested a few ROM´s but the Custom Stock Rom (Codenam: ETERNITY) is one of the best in my opinion.
I have flashed this Rom, and it worked realy fine, my first mistake was that i did not make a backup, and my second mistake was that i have tried to flash some Mod´s.
After flashing a few Mod the Rom does not working correctly, anway i though i reflash it again, but that was not so easy as i thought.
After four time flashing, it did not work, so i thought, i flash the Original Samsung Firmware (i downloaded from Sammobile) so after flashing i rooted my S2 again and the Rom Eternity download it again, and save it in my mobile, in CWM window, i have follow this instructions.
Installation Pocedures:
If you're coming from ICS Roms, Stock Roms, AOKP/AOSP Roms or Custom Roms:
Download the zip file.
Put it in either internal or external SDCard.
Reboot in recovery, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache.
Go to Mount and storage, format preload.
*If you do not have fromat preload in recovery (Except Philz and Jeboo kernels), Please go to Other Links section on 1st post to get the GS2ROMWipe. Then, run this in recovery*
Install the ROM.
After installation finish, reboot your device.
The first boot will take several minutes.
Please allow 5-10mins to let the media scanner to finish after configuring the Setup Wizard.
Then, open up SuperSU App and update it.
But it did not worked, later i have follow the instructions from the Video, the same problem.
I see only on Screen : " Samsung Brilliantly Stock Custom Stock ROM"
Please allow 5-10mins to let the media scanner to finish after configuring the Setup Wizard.

Hi you,
I usually use these steps below to flash ROM
1. Use Odin to flash CWM that is compatible with your new ROM
2. Copy your new ROM into phone sdcard
3. Boot into CMW, wipe data/factory cache, wipe davik cache
4. Flash your new ROM and reboot.
Hope this help.

Thanks in advance, i will try that and update you again. thank you very much.
I want to know when you say "install ROM' exactlty what do you mean? I have rooted the phone, installed all the drivers, installed ROM manager, done a factory wipe, opened the recovery programme. the phone cannot see the file no matter where I put the ROM. Can you inform me as mentioned earlier exactly where and how do you install the Optimus G3 ROM?
The ROM has been downloaded to my desktop, extracted and ready to go, but go where that is the question.
I have entered the recovery mode and that goes nowhere unless I want to wipe/factory reset again, it would be nice if I knew where the ROM was to be placed in order that my phone can see it and install it.
Thank you.
Is there an actual step-by-step set of instructions, various sites give differing instructions and most of them are incomplete?

It means that you need to install the rom.
You can compare it with this instruction:
When said Install Rom:
1. Wipe data/cache (if needed)
2. Format System partition (if needed)
3. Wipe dalvik cache (if needed)
a few steps later...
?. Install zip file from sd card.
If it's needed it's explained in the instructions or description about the room.

Following Instructions
Again not very helpful as when you do a wipe, the phone reboots and that is that, no more instructions nothing. What does [I} a few steps later...[/I] mean very vague answer. Upgraded many Samsung phones using Odin, this is the first time I have tried to install a ROM and I am now using LG phone and it is not the easiest model out there, although I do prefer LG to Samsung.
