For those with the bionic bootanimation ***Updated*** - Motorola Droid X2

I quite didn't like the bionic's boot animation sound, so I dug around a little bit and found the Droid charge's sound. Converted from .wav to .ogg and it works quite well! Here it is if anyone is interested. All credit goes to droid life for posting the animation ofc. ***Revision The phone boots up before finishing the entire boot animation sound by like 1-2 seconds. Can anyone else confirm this?** Thanks
Update: Increased volume (let me know if its louder) cut 3- 4 seconds off (no sounds removed) As for the synch I'm not sure how to change the timing so it says Droid while Droid text is on the screen. Enjoy.
Edit:
Extract Bionic.ogg from Bionic.rar
Using root explorer or a similar program move the file to /system/media/audio/notifications/Bionic.ogg

Thanks! I know I'm in the minority when I saw this, but I liked hearing "Droooooid" when I restart my phone, so this is awesome.
EDIT: Worked like a charm.

Yeah I like the Droid sound as well. To me it just feels more suited for the bionic boot animation. Shame that I don't think we can get the sammy charge boot animation though.

If you saved the original sound file, couldn't you just rename it to bionic.ogg? The boot animation is just looking for a file named bionic.ogg right?

Not too sure to be honest. But it's technically changing the extension, so it might not work? Took me a whole 3 seconds to convert so no biggie 8). Also different compression I'd imagine.

No way. I prefer the mechanical sound of the Bionic boot ani. Thanks for the option though.

Do you mean this has happened since changing the animation, or it's been an ongoing issue? Changing these files should not have caused any stability problems at all.

Yeah I would like to know if it was after the sound or before hand? I haven't had any random reboots yet.

It's really really quiet, and it should be saying Droid when the droid text is on the screen. None the less, this is pretty good!

I thought it was a bit quiet too I will tweak it a bit maybe cut off 2 seconds of the audio file and increase by 2-4 db.

I had nothing to do w/ the boot animation. Just attempting to tweak a different boot sound for it.

Can you make the regular bionic bootaniamation sound louder? It sounds cool but you can barely here it and i can't find anything free to increase volume of ogg files.

just wanted to let you guys know that http://www.xda-developers.com/android/call-of-android-boot-animation/ this does work on Cyanogen's CM7 ROM.
I used pushed it to the /system/media and it worked perfectly. I used Android Commander.. .
but i just thought i'd throw it out there.
I flashed this a while back when my buddy wanted me to put it on his evo. It lasted about 3 reboots before I was like....ehh, enuff!! I keep ending up going back to the android zap apple one. Its got such a clean and crisp look to it.

Yeah, no sound on my end, just checking if that is the case for everyone else
can't decide between this one and his HALO Reach one, I did pull the "We Are Android" image out of the HALO one to use as my splash screen. the dude did an awesome job on these. just gotta try and get him to do an AC2 or AC: Brotherhood one now.

You do not flash a bootanimation.zip. You have to place it in the system. Depending on the rom you are running, there are 2 different places you could have to place it
In the second post I said flashed but I meant pushed/placed .

most likely the speed of the animation is to slow. you can try to readjust it or try reflashing it.

Circle Battery% Mod here UPDATED:10%increments working

I just quickly threw together one of these for the DX2 cuz i hate hot seeing my battery percentage or using a tacky 3rd party app. The battery only reads in increments of (edit:10%). You must have a custom recovery to flash this zip and you must have gingerbread also!
UPDATED 8/7 please download lastest version for working 10%increments
causes volume notification to read inaccurately when adjusting volumes(no idea why this happens)
to restore to factory settings flash the factorybatt.zip
Flashed now how do I get it to take the place of the old one?
Thanks! worked perfect...
Can it be confirmed that this does 5% increments?
(stock does 10% unless under 20%, then it does 5%)?
Don't mean to be picky, just asking from those who flashed?
Thanks and good work on this.
awesome, works great
Doesn't do 5percent
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA Premium App
Awesome man thanks I hated the stock one I could never really tell how much I had left and I don't like having a million things in the notification bar
X2RGB
One thing I did notice is you must choose between this and crt animation you can't have both
X2RGB
oh thats why then ^
Actually now, it seems its dropping in %20 increments
Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
the framework-res.apk for x2 gingerbread has stat_sys_battery_100png, 95png, 80png, 75png etc so i swapped images for 5% increments. I dont know why its not working that way. I realize motorola reads in 10% but theres an app on the market that can read the X2 in 1%increments so i dont think that matters i dunno
Installed it on my x2, works great. My only wish is that it was accurate to 1% instead of 10, but I know that's not your fault, it's Motorola's.
Thanks.

I've been searching for something like this! I don't like not being able to see my volume leves and was noticing a few other hiccups with the new 10% version, so I flashed back to the one that only displays 20% increments, hopefully only temporarily though.

Changing the splash screen is definitely possible. It doesn't hard brick your phone, and I changed it many times on my tbolt. It just isn't in the same spot on the dx2 it seems.

I have done this quite a few times and it's not that hard, nor will it brick your phone. If you mess up the worse that will happen is that you'll have a black screen instead of the actual logo. These steps are exactly like the ATRIX and can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1187337

So the atrix method works on X2, have you done it recently?
Hey it worked...right on but one thing was it says to delete the last two bits in file but when i do that it throws the size off instead of being 1036820 it becomes 1036818 so i left the two bits in and it stayed at the proper size, fastboot flashed and it worked. Whats the deal with deleting the last two bits?
So it worked great thanks dragonzkiller, im going to attach the file i made in-case anyone wants to change it using the directions from the link below.
The attached image is just to show you what it looks like you need the bin file to flash it which is located in logo.zip below, also i found the fastboot method provided in directions was super easy and worked no problem where the CWR zip method did not work i think because the zip template they give you is corrupt or something it acts weird if you try to edit or unzip it. Just use fastboot method super easy.

I fixed the link...you have to download the fastboot.zip from link and unzip it like in c:/fastboot then go to command prompt go to that directoy and run the commands. You also have to copy the logo.bin into the fastboot directory.
In the link posted over at the atrix page there are a bunch of other ones people made that you can download and install.
Its easy to make your own you just have to use a hex editor to tweak the finished image which seems very scary at first but its really easy you just have to be very carefull.
I use Hxd Hex Editor... http://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/
I will also say that in the directions it says once your done editing hex the size will be 1036820 bits it says to remove 2 bits from end of image but when i did that the size changed to 1036818 bits, 2 bits lower then what it says so i did not remove the last 2 like it says and it came to the correct size of 1036820 bits so im just saying it says to take delete 70 bits from beginning then 2 from end and i did not remove the 2 from the end because it threw off the size, do whatever you want but that's what i did if it helps.

New RAZR boot sound check it out!

Hey guys here is a new boot sound i made for the RAZR it goes along perfect with the stock or modded stock boot animation like the one I'm using. check it out. Its a combo of the droid voice and the transformer sound... pretty sweet i think.
Just put onto SDCARD-EXT and use what ever unzipping app you choose to extract it (i use root explorer) the move the extracted file to system/media and past there. before you hit the past button rename the droidhd.ogg file to droidhd.ogg.bak to keep it as a back up. Then paste and your all done just reboot phone to hear the new boot sound.
DISCLAIMER: I take no responsibility for you using this file, it worked on my RAZR, wife's, and three other friends.
And remember when in doubt...youtube it.
does not sound too different from the one that comes in the arctic rom... much less noise though
The volume is too low, need more gain.
i dont have a droidhd.ogg file to begin with in that folder... so i just pasted it, and it didn't work
but i pasted bootanimation.zip from somewhere else and drop it in that folder and it works just fine...
