Help getting a game gripper - Motorola Photon 4G

Ok so I dont know if any of you guys have had a game gripper but I had one for my epic, and it was awesome no more Wii mote BS. But anyways if you guys would go to the game gripper site and request one for the photon maybe it would perswayed him to make one for us. This phone runs the n64 and psx emulators so nicely it would be so nice to have a game pad instead of the crappy on screen controls. So help out and go to the site and request one. Please!

Uuuummmm..... Not gonna happen man. Sry. Gamegripper is only designed and works for phones with physical keyboards. Will not work with touchscreen only devices.
But no biggie tho. Playing games on the touchscreen with the photon is not bad at all. It is way more responsive than the epic touchscreen. Also what I do sometimes is connect my phone to my tv and mirror the display. Then I use a wiimote controller and play my games. Couldnt do that with the epic.

They have them for the Droid x that is touch screen only

Gamers?

Well thought I might help some people who may be interested in turning their phone into a mobile gaming device currently I have set up Super gnes from market. On my evo 3d but the fun comes with better game play using my ps3 controller to play. Alot smoother than using touch screen controls if interested let me know. Must be rooted with AOSP rom first I'm currently using miui. And yes I'm sure alot of you may already know but we were all noobs at one point so this threads for you guys if interested

If you buy the Sixaxis controller app you can pair your ps3 control with your phone.
It can be used but before buying the app get the free pairing tool and must have an aosp rom currently does not work with sense so cm7 or miui are your best bets if you find it does work about $6 in the market and your ready to go $2 for siaxis controller application and $4 for snes emulator there is a free version of emulator but it doesn't have as many features plus I like to stay updated

Well I'm also a father and student so I will try and stay as up to date with those who would like help as I can so first steps always backup make a nand back up and find a aosp rom I recommend miui then get the free sixaxis application from market and read the directions in the application you will need a pc to change your controlers Bluetooth address don't worry your control will still work with your ps3 however make sure your ps3 is off when changing the address otherwise it will keep trying to connect to your ps3 rather than your phone. Will check in tomorrow to see what else I can help with for now try that out and goodnight

the Infamous Youzh's emu apps are still free if you want to take a look (except the N64, but $5 is way worth it.)
https://slideme.org/user/yongzh
For the record I installed snesoid, gensoid, and nesoid (Google to find cause they were pulled from the market, I had purchased these prior btw but had to hunt them down) and the sixaxis app was like $1.79, and as mentioned the pairing tool is free. Works flawlessly on Miui...

Good question haven't tried yet as my time is very limited but I can look into it unless some one else already has. I will be the first to say I'm not the best at anything here just trying to help where I feel I can everything I know has been someone else's exploits that I taught myself through reading and you tube, and lemme tell ya YouTube can be your best friend when in a bind

Ps3 games on your smartphone or tablet!!!!

Idk if anyone has posted this yet... But I'm posting it anyways lol
There's an app called ONLIVE.. that's you could play ps3/ Xbox like games! it's crazy you get the graphics of the console on your smartphone and every game has a trial... In some you will need to buy the wireless remote which is $49.99 on the website and you can play via pc, tablet, any android smartphone!!!
TRY IT!
(If the game lags download RAM MANAGER from the market..(pro) and select hardcore gaming takes away aloooot of the lag

What games have you tested?
dirt 3... Split second...and darksiders... I was going to try batman arkham city but I need the remote
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
Thats what that app is. Olympus rom comes w it!
Lucky hT-z 3D
according to the onlive website the controller requires android 4.0 on smartphones (http://support.onlive.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/432) (idk how 4.0 is going on cdma but gsm does not have a stable version) so if you do not have 4.0 don't buy a controller yet
That sucks lol

Virtual Boy Emulation

Does anyone know if a Virtual Boy Emulator has ever been released, or if one is being worked on for Android? I picked up an EVO3d off a friend and was thinking it should be feasible, and would show the 3d display off very well... I know it only has ~20 titles, so it's a long shot...
I don't think they have one out yet, lots of GBA and others out there though!

Virtual Boy is a Nintendo game console released in mid-1990s with 3D single-colored display. Players are required to put it on like glasses to play it. see its wikipedia article for details
Virtual Boy in DOS in Android
Alternatively what you can do is run the DOS version of Reality Boy in a DOSBox port running on Android. I tried this and it was able to run the graphics at about 2 fps, so it's not really playable. I don't think the sound worked either.
Anyway, while I'd be willing to pay several monies for one, I think the above is the closest you'll come, short of some RDP solution.
RetroArch
RetroArch seems to be the only one there is for Android. Emulates a bunch of other stuff too.
Only thing: only emulates one d-pad, not two like on the Virtual Boy.

FYI - Wiimote works!

I'm happy to say that wiimote app from the market works perfect with the EVO LTE. This is a completely stock phone and I'm not rooted.
I've been playing the snes emu thru the mhl adapter on my 32" HD TV. The best part about this is that with the new kick stand I can charge the phone while I'm playing
link to the market app please? There's so many fakes out there.

The question is how do I get such games for my phone? I REALLY want to play classic Zelda and Mario. Any ideas? Is there Mame for Android?

I use nes-emu it came with 100 roms all marios and zeldas. I wrote down the mac address of my Wii mote by searching for it with Bluetooth on CM7 then synced it up with the Wii mote app. Configured the button map to play the roms on my droid with a Wii mote. Let me know if you need help with this.

Dsoid but it heats up your phone like a microwave. It also is quite slow. You need a high end phone (not even mine, more like an S3 or a Nexus S) to play it properly.

nds4droid is better. Also, it doesn't even run all that well on higher end devices either, still too soon for that yet.

I haven't gotten around to trying any of these yet, but I was fairly pleased to find out that there exists Nintendo DS emulators. It sounds like there's lots of room for improvement though, and I can't wait for it to get better.
