Hey guys I'm having a weird problem when I try to save images or pictures it doesn't save it correctly..the image is all pixelated but I make sure when I preview it everything is perfect but in gallery its all messed up...any help would be much appreciated thx

You're SDcard probably went all cattywhampus. (yes, that's a technical term!). The files might not be junk. I'd back up the SDcard, format it, and toss all that stuff back on it. If that doesn't recover the files, it should at least make sure the card works right in the future. Also, I've had horribly trouble with Chainfire3D drivers screwing up pictures. I've had that issue on almost every ROM I've used it on.

I posted this over at AC and didnt get a nimble maybe someone here knows how to fix it. I was going to "bump" photos to a friend and in the photo section in that app it had a million photos that I have already deleted. I have looked in all the directorys I could think of and cant find these phantom photos. I want to delete them permanently. They are definitely deleted them from "my albums" and dont show up in there. Please help. Thanks!

I do not know much about the app outside of the basics, but is it possible that there is some kind of "bump cache" that it is pulling the images from and it is not getting cleared when you delete the image? Just a QUICK reading of the FAQ, it sounds like you need to update the information you want to share with each adjustment to that info.

and find this where?? there isnt a "bump" folder on my SD card. I have no clue where they r coming from
I dont have this app on my phone but, i would suggest un mounting and removing your memory card...go into your gallery (or what ever way your finding these phantom photos) and see if they are still there. I know this won't actually help you find them. It will just verify that they are in fact somewhere on your sd card... but which file..what are they named ??? i dont know. The permissions list for said app says it wants to modify contacts and other setting..maybe deleting and re-doing the particular contact that you sent all the photos to will fix it ? Again I dont know much about how files are stored or modified by apps that we put on our phone, but if I had this problem I would start there and if it is in fact some where on your sd then you could copy all files on your sd to a pc and at least if you delete something you weren't supposed to you could always copy that file back from said pc...just my .02 good luck I'm sure someone has also had this problem...when in doubt google can be your best friend sometimes!

Well I just installed and reinstalled the app and that got rid of the pictures. Dont know where they were or anything but they r gone now. Resolved
So I just installed google+ on the phone and tried sharing a specific picture from my phone....
The picture posted ended up being a freaking screen shot of an ESPN bookmark!! WTF?
Has anybody had this problem or is it just a freak accident? I am a lil scared of using it now as there are some crazy ass photos on my phone and I definitely do not want to even accidentally post them.
Maybe I can just put them in a .file but isn't that where they found the ESPN bookmark?

Delete your /sdcard/DCIM/.thumbnails folder so that it rebuilds. You should be able to verify this is the problem by opening gallery and noticing that the thumbnail of the image you *wanted* to post opens the image of what was actually sent. After you delete that folder and open gallery things should be corrected. It just sounds like the thumbnails may have gotten mixed up.
If that wasn't the problem, we'll go from there.

Ah... this may have solved the problem. Should have thought about that first. It's been awhile since i cleared the thumbnails.
K.... Another issue.
I turned on instant upload to upload all my pics to Picasa.
It ONLY found my fxcamera folder.... I have like 5 folders with pics in them. Anybody know how Google+ instant upload scans the SD card for pics?
EDIT: Solved...
Google+ instant upload looks like it scans in order of folders and uploads the first folder it finds with pics in it... (First time the first folder it found with pics was FXcamera Folder) for most people it would be DCIM. For now I moved all my pics into that folder (DCIM) but I will take them all out once it's done uploading (4G kills it!)
Then from there on it will instant upload anything that goes into DCIM...
just a FYI
Can Someone tell me whats the problem in my phone cause i cant view all my pictures in my phone. i can take pictures but i can't view it on gallery etc.

remove the memory card n replace it back reboot it n check....

hey after flashing a rom I realized that I was missing photos from my album..I found them on my storage and moved them into the dcim folder in my sd card..well the photos showed back up..I thought everything was ok till I took some burst shots..ill take a couple theN back out and take another set..problem is that it is stringing them together ..so if I take 5 shots then another 5 it shows as a set of 10 with both bursts being strung together..does anyone know how I can fix this..im pretty sure its from me moving folders around..any help will be appreciated and thanked..I reflashed and still the same issue..its posing me off..figures I'd find a Rom that's running great and I screw something up..

Just tried that and it didn't work..I'm assuming u meant in settings under storage.. I also tried changing it so it saved to internal but that didnt work either ..I can do like 4 burst shots without pulling out of the apps and it just adds the photos to the last string ...are burst shots saved to a specific folder in dcim?
Assuming you're not selecting a best shot and just backing out of that menu to keep all the pictures, mine shows up under /mnt/sdcard/DCIM/100BURST/###/ with the ### being individual sets of burst shots being taken.

Hello all I rooted again recently after getting the 3 XX update from verizon.
and now that im rooted I cant get gallery to see any images in any folder except what is now taken with camera app.
any ideas.
restarted phone, cleared cache, restarted app, shut down phone and turned back on, tried different camera apps, different gallery apps....... all with same result that it will not see any of my pictures or videos I took before rooting or see any images in any other folder.
so im lost as to what to do to fix it.
Rom is OTA plus rooted is all.... nothing else was changed.
Im still a newbie but I know enough and i cant figure it out.

If I remember correctly, the files are stored in a different place in 4.2,2 then in 4.1.2. Do some searching to find the folder, and move your pictures there

ive tried moving folders and files..... but the issue is that the pics i have are in the same folder as the 1 pic i took once rooted..... so they are in the same folder. its like the gallery wont see anything else but what is taken from the camera now.
just stuck as to why its doing that..... had pics be seen in other folders before. i even have another folder on the root of the phone, well emulated sd card.... called Pics and it does not see those either.
noticed though that the camera does see the pics i took before but when i open the gallery to view those pics they are not there.
even booted into hboot and bootloader then restarted and still nothing.
oh and also i was already on 4.22 stock from verizon..... had some pics and a vid i took.... then rooted and now can't see pics and vid i took before I rooted.
found an answer i think
Ok think i figure out the issue.
the pictures i had on my device were not in a folder that the gallery app recognizes by default, so it was a naming issue and location issue. I moved the old pics taken with my camera before rooting to the folder labeled "Camera" and now the gallery an see all my images.
Before pics were in the folder named Camera....and now they are in a folder named 100MEDIA... very strange but happy it all ok now.
hope my issue helps someone sort out a problem if they ever have that issue like i did.
