[Q] Using bluetooth headset for audio/mic? - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I like using the app ventriloid to chat with my buddies on the go, and I also have a jawbone 2.
I can use my earbuds with the audio jack to listen and talk, but I want to mimic this with my jawbone 2 instead. Is this possible?

Is there an app that will let you play music from your phone on your car using a bluetooth connection? Like is there a way to play all phone audio on your car via bluetooth rather than just call audio?

No app can change this, the thing is your car stereo has to support the A2DP bluetooth profile, if you do not have a "bluetooth audio" option and only "telephone" on your car stereo then it only supports the "headset" profile, for example I have a pioneer bt-8000 car stereo, it supports both a2dp and headset profiles, I set my car stereo to "bt audio" then all audio OTHER than phone audio comes through car stereo, then if a call is initiated inbound or outbound, the car stereo automatically switches to phone, then when disconnected back to bt audio

I did however forget one way that this could be possible without the A2DP profile, not sure if this exists for our phone, but a hack could be made on the phone that would force all audio through the headset profile on the phone itself, but like I said, I haven't seen this hack for our phones

There's an app in the Market called Super Bt Mono Froyo that does exactly that - routes all audio from phone to Bluetooth device using headset profile. The quality pretty much sucks for music though - kinda like if you'd listen to music over GSM phone connection. I personally use it for navigation prompts when riding my motorcycle. If you want decent quality - you need A2DP.

Question for bluetooth handsfree users

I have paired my sgs2 with my bluetooth car kit. Phone calls etc work perfect, using my car's speakers and microphone. However, when i try to use the satnav on my phone, or start the Voice Commands app and it says "what would you like to do?", the audio comes out of my phone's loudspeaker rather than my car's speakers!
Is anybody else having this problem? Or is it working fine for other users?
I am using a Parrot 3200LS. Here is a screenshot of it's bluetooth settings on my phone:

On google people mentioned that there should be 2 checkboxes, Phone and Media, but i only have Phone. Is this what is causing the problem? Is there any way i can fix this?
Thanks

EDIT: I found the answer to my own question. Apparently my Parrot 320LLS does not support A2DP, which is required to play the navigation, music, etc sounds through the car speakers via bluetooth!

Integrate Galaxy S2 to the Car Audio through FM transmitter?

I have a Galaxy S2. I have heard that we can integrate the phone to the car system using FM frequency. Is there any software available for it? Kindly help me
the sgs2 can not be turned into a fm transmitter via an app if u meant that.
you have to connect a real fm transmitter to the phone to play music.

You can get Bluetooth FM transmitters which allow you to route phones called and music to an FM channel on your car stereo. Most of these have built-in microphones with echo cancellation to improve voice quality.
another option, would be to get a car streo which has built-in bluetooth.
One example:
If your car stereo is not bluetooth ready, you can often add bluetooth to your existing stereo by purchasing an inexpensive "Bluetooth Gateway". They typically hide in behind the stereo and plug into RCA connectors on your car stereo. If you do an Amazon search for "bluetooth gateway" you will find products, prices and reviews.
good luck.

as many as you can pair up
you can for example stream to your car audio
meanwhile you have a Bluetooth watch, and a bluetooth headset
so when a calls comes in you can pick it up with the headset instead of car speaker, and vice versa
you can also make a phone from the caller ID wrist watch, and accept or deny a call
you can play remote control cars/boats/planes if you can pair with it
also you can use those wii like BT controllers
and also stream to stereo BT headsets
you can pair several phones together to transfer files and phone books
etc
the possibilities are endless

Bluetooth customization

I am currently running cm11(12/17) and am using an LG Tone+ bluetooth headset. Is there a way or am app that will let me customize the bluetooth settings so my phone's speaker will ring so well as the headset? Currently it will only ring on the headset. Also, I would like media to automatically play out of headset jack instead of bluetooth (I hook my car stereo to the headset jack and have to manually disable media in the bluetooth settings for this to work). If I could just be pointed in the right direction I can probably figure it out.
