1) Can't set the default ringtone. I can go into settings and select a ringtone but for some reason the defauls stays on silent. Have to set ringtone for each contact. If a non contact number calls, no ringtone just vibrate. FYI the power control widget only has two options, speaker with vibe lines and phone with vibe lines. nothing else.
2)With Update 4.0.4c moving from one remembered wifi connection to another I got an error in the menu. Can't turn wifi on at all. Restoring to original WB rom if this is a consistant problem.
Can someone give me some advice here?
Forever a noob
Re-installed rom for a 5th time. Installed doom kernal. Took care of the first problem. Have not updated to 4.0.4 c yet. Not sure if I want to now

A few times now, I've had the vibrate function get stuck when I receive an email or message. I am able to get it to stop if I open the email/message or navigate to the tab. I have it set to sound a short alert and vibrate. Anyone else have this issue or have an idea what it may be?
Nothing need be running (other than Activesync and possibly file Explorer) to get this issue. Stock Sprint ROM with a few mild registry edits.
I have had the same problem. So far no one has been able to find a solution. For now just take off the vibrate.
Stuck Vibrate
Same here. Mine has done it 2 or 3 times while on the charger. I wonder what whould happen if I were away from the phone. Would it vibrate forever?
Hope the next ROM fixes this. I'm on stock ROM with mild reg edits also.

I am wondering if anyone else is having an issue where after making setting adjustments (such as ring tone, or screen brightness), once being plugged in for charging, there settings are reverted back or simply enough...changed.
Ive been having this issue and clawing at every possible solution. any suggestions anyone?
Have not had this issue. Are you stock?
no im not stock. im rooted. however ive never had a similar issue with this before. and it did this before root.
For me it's the System Volume
Yes! I have noticed this too. I keep setting my System Volume to about 50%, and it just randomly gets reset back to 100%. I can't figure out of it is an app that is changing it or if turning the phone off and back on does it, or what. It's very annoying.
Hopefully we can determine what's causing it, or if it's a bug and we need Samsung/T-Mobile to fix it.
Your volume is problably from Maps. Everytime I used Google Maps my volume went from whatever I had it set to to 100%
I was having problems with everytime I turned my phone on my animations went from none to full. Drove me crazy. I ended up switching my rom from Stock to Vibrant6 and the issue went away. I haven't tried going back to the first Nandroid Backup I made to see if it was a stock problem or if it was something I installed.
I do recall that after I played with my Font it started happening. Of course I'm not sure if that caused it or not.
I have had this problem ever since Clockwork recovery. if I reboot to do a nandroid my fonts go back to default however whatever i have chosen (ie choco) is still highlighted. the system volume changes at the same time too.
i asked over at cyanogenmod and i seemed to be the only one.
i was about to post a thread about this too lol. mine isn't rooted. i had my ringtone on the silent one, but all of a sudden i hear the tmobile jingle. i was confused cause i had it on the silent ring tone. also have this issue: once i get a text my lockscreen stays on, it doesn't turn off or anything.
I have the issue with ring and notification tones getting changed back to default.
It doesn't seem to matter where I store them.
my phone is rooted, but no other mods
I've just done the ics flash using the "Beta 2" file and the "vibrant kernel" from ytt3r and Onecosmic and I've seem to run into a few problems. Would just like to know if anyone else is experiencing the following:
- Trying to sync facebook contacts with phone contacts, I can see facebook in the add account under accounts and sync, but when I click it it does nothing.
- When making or receiving a phone call, the speaker phone is dead. If I switch to loud speaker I can hear it, or if I plug in head phones, the the sound comes through the speaker phone and not the headphones.

I had the problem with my Samsung Vibrant.
How I "fixed" it:
1) Swore at the phone
2) Turned off the phone
3) Booted in recovery mode (CMR)
4) Wiped/Factory Reset
5) Cleared Cache
6) Re-installed the phone specific Kernel
The dialer magically worked... I don't know if step 1 is "necessary", but it certainly did help.
did you get this solved? I have tried every possible way I can find. How do you do that kernel change? I have tried many ICS roms but all have that same problem with no sound out of the headphone. sound only comes out of the loudspeaker
Hi Guys,
Always loved loading custom roms on my androids. Never had a problem I had to ask for help with until now. Please bear with me; I'm trying not to be noob-ish.
I'm running Resurrection Remix 4.4.2 on my Galaxy S2 GT-9100. I installed it last night. Had a big problem (after rebooting into recovery and then wipingdata/factory reset) - I couldn't mount my sdcard1 (externalSD) in CWMrecovery > hence I couldn't install the rom.zip from my SD card. I ended up using adb sideload to push the rom and GAPPS onto phone.
ROM working great so far, loving it! Suddenly; I can't adjust the audio slider for my main audio. The ring-volume and alarm volume can both be adjusted - and the speaker works when either of these two are used. My music/audio volume however won't lift up off zero. The speaker has the line through it to say it's muted completely.
I've tried using my hardware buttons, and the touchscreen to adjust it. I've searched Google & XDA. I've looking through all the settings on my phone. No luck. I've tried restarting phone. Can't think of any settings I've adjusted that could cause this. I was playing with contacts all afternoon, syncing FB images & organising Google contacts.
Please can somebody give me a hand - I've got my wedding coming up in 3 weeks and I don't have millions of hours to troubleshoot this alone.
Thanks in advance, let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
****This is strange. Just restarted my phone and it works again. Not sure then what is triggering the issue. Could be something to do with Open Mic for Google Now (it listens actively for "Ok Google"). Could be something to do with USB cable being plugged in and it thinks it is docked? Not sure any more. Working for now.****
****Now lost audio again! Was simply using my phone, using Google now to test the commands etc. Audio level dropped to zero, and I can't lift it up. Why! Perhaps it happened after phone went into standby?**** I've just checked and my WiFi doesn't go to sleep when phone is standby - it's already set to stay on.
Hi
I have a EFOX E5s MT6592 with android 4.4.2, build number SMART-E5_V1.0_V01_2014-09-03_21:54:49 which I have rooted and backed up.
My problem is that the "Vibrate on connect" is always on and the setting to turn it off has been removed my EFOX.
I have installed through xposed to the "Android Phone Vibrator" apk but with the vibrate outgoing call un-ticked and the vibration intensity turn down as low as possible , it still does not change the vibrate on connecting a call.
My reason to try and stop this is because the vibrate is so strong and load that the person you are calling gets there ear blown off as they answer my call.
Is there a way of entering the android program that EFox have installed and change/turn this off or do I need to load a different system or rom.
Hope you can help, I have spent weeks trying to work it out and getting no where fast.
