Rooted and Webtop mods all already implemented.
What I am trying to do is get the 1% battery mod but one that I have seen in the forum here is for a deodexed system....is there one for a odexed system?
What can I do I amnot trying to get a deodexed ROM like kens or alien or anything like that so will this mod be possible for me? thanks people.
Is it the ROM you don't want?
You can deodex without flashing a custom one. The steps are in this forum somewhere lol.

SO, what does deodexed and oxodized or dexed and all those other 'xed' words mean when it comes to roms?
First android phone, and I rooted the adb way(super proud of myself, was waiting for a one-click root) and was wondering can anyone offer any ROMS good on battery, but look clean and un-themed?
And what are kernals?
Deodexed means you can theme it and replace specific components. The ROM is kinda "broken down" in very crude terms. Some say that a deodexed ROM doesn't run quite as fast as non deodexed, but its barely any difference IMO.

I know there is a thread with a modded mms.apk but that's only for deodexed roms and not for the stock rom.
I would really like to stay with my stock rom with cf kernel, so i have root but don't need anything else.
However, it seems that nobody has ever made a modified sms/mms app for the stock version.
Why is that? Not possible or simply no one asked for it? I cannot post in the actuall mod thread yet, hence I'm asking here

Stock rom, no you need a deodexed stock rom. Use the Wanam lite stock deodexed.
Also this should be in Q&A section.

No it will not work!
Like the guy in the post above you said, if you bothered to read, is that you need a deodexed rom.
Go to the Android development section (not original) and look for Wanam's deodexed stock ROMs. They must be deodexed! This is important.

I don't know if i'm allowed to link out but this is the best gb rom I have found in my opinion. It has everything you need and more. It's really stable too.
The link in the post above is gingerbread 2.3.6.
the .211 is ICS. here is a stock, deodexed, rooted .211 that you can debloat yourself if you like.
and here are the 1% battery mods
just make sure you pick the right zip because he has several different ones for different roms in the same op.

I am using a Samsung Skyrocket I727 for at&t ... With the official stock (odexed) ICS ROM 4.0.4
I was previously using the same ROM but one of the dev in our forums did "DEodexed" that stock ROM , so it was completely stock but deodexed ... I made a mod in that rom on the file "android.policy.jar" so that volume rocker would unlock the screen and LOVED that mod ..
Around a week ago , I had to ODIN back to stock UCLF6 att ICS to get the latest update from att on this offical ICS .. And did that so now I am back to completely ODEXED ROM , but need so much the same mod I did to android.policy.jar so vol rocket would do unlock the screen ... I am sure the update didn't change anything to this jar file , so are these my options : ?
1.ODEX back the modded android.policy.jar I did ? (can I do that without using the phone ? i.e. in windows ?)
or
2.Again try to mod the odexed android.policy.jar from my current stock ROM ?(what should I do in this case?)
Can you please help me what to do to have the same mod in my current rom ? (I know how to do the mod if I can get the classes.odex but I don't know how to mod a odexed file)
