ESPN Sprint ID Pack - Motorola Photon 4G

I know there are many who are rooted and don't use the bloatware that comes preinstalled on phones. However, with college football only days away i went looking for the ESPN pack in Sprint ID only to see that it is not listed on my Photon... I checked my GF's Epic and it is still in there. Has anyone found a way to push this to our photon or download it third-party? I know there is a thread in the Epic section where the files can be downloaded but the files seem to have been removed from mediashare. Any help with this would be awesome! Thanks guys!!

Yahoo messenger?

Hi guys, first off I want to thank all of you who put out this wealth of knowledge about these devices, I honestly know I would be lost without this site!! I aplogize if this is in the wrong spot but I have a good friend who just bought a TP though US Cellular and he wants to put Yahoo messenger on it, I was confused when he asked me because my TP came with it installed alredy but I'm on Sprint. He told me Sprint is the only one who offers the app and I was wanting to know if there was any way around this? Thanks in advance guys!
i would suggest using Nimbuzz.. its free & works pretty good. it supports a nice range of instant messenging protocols.

[REQ] Myfaves app

It was available on the G1. Don't remember if it was on the mt3g. Tmobile got rid of it. I can only access it through the web. And the phone doesn't support the website. Thanks in advance.
Wrong section. No, its no longer avaible. Tmo does not dye myfavs anymore. Only those who have had it kept it.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using Tapatalk
Sorry about the wrong location. I do have myfaves. You now have to sit at a real computer to access. Tmo no longer offers an app. I got left behind.
You just need to use your PC to change faves. Your faves still work just fine on your bill.
But, if you really want the app.. Give this a shot: http://androidcommunity.com/forums/f23/my-faves-for-g1-22397/
I seem to recall issues with compatibility during one of those upgrades ages ago, though - like around 1.6, so it may not work on 2.1.
I started a thread over in the app section, i attached the myfaves.apk, And I had that one working on CM 5.0.8 on my G1, and that is an elcair build. So Its compatible, only issue i had was they way to get it to work was commands that through terminal that dont work on the vibrant. So if someone with knowledge can help out it would be great.
Thread in other section so it in the right place so people will help us all out:

nook 2.5 apk?

Hey guys,
Could someone post the updated version of the nook app? It's not available from the canadian market. And yes, I know this will not work on the stock nook. I installed honeycomb within minutes of buying my nook. Also, I'd like to use the app on my n1.
Thanks a bunch,
Samuel Maskell
I would also really appreciate that .. specially due to the fact that it is only available in the american app store. This is just crazy why I cannot get it in europe.
thanks in advance
it does show for me in the web market Nook 2.5 and i'm not n the US
but i'm on Eclair, and i dont have access to wifi here at work, so i cant try it

yes, but when you click install, it will say "this item not available on your carrier"
I just answered my own question without even realizing it in another thread..
market enabler!
why haven't I been using that all along?
I used to use it when we didn't have paid apps in canada(seems like ages ago now) but I didn't even think about the fact that it would let me download US only apps
managed to find a really old US sim.. and it worked straight like a charm.. downloaded and installed straight from the market
most likely because they can't sell ebooks in non-us markets

I just registered a US address when I bought the nook and have had no issues buy books and magazines.

Attached v2.5 Nook APK below. Not sure if it works, no time to test it at the moment.

Thanks, been hunting all over the net for this. Works OK on my Pandigital ereader (Canadian)
You're welcome. It works on the Nook Color with Gingerbread perfectly too.
Hi, I saw that ZaneChua has already uploaded the file. But just for future reference, you can access and download stuff from the US/other countries in the Market if you download "MarketEnabler" and fake your provider.
Thanks for the tip. Didn't know that. ^^
thanks for the tip

Thanks - I had found a 2.2 version and I was not impressed, but this version is much better!
Is there a later version or is that the latest? I'm not sure I'm quite brave enough to root my my tab to use market enabler :-(
Thanks again.

Thank from me 2.

{APP}Get OnLive working on your Nook!

Hey guys!
I havent seen a thread yet dedicated to the Onlive service that was ported today. I just heard about it on pulse, but now the APK is out there and waiting to be flashed to your NC! Hopefully this is something you havent heard of yet.
I just flashed it from dropbox onto my NC running 113N....it works great. Lots of cool features, though im 99% sure you can't play any games through it....yet
Here's the original thread talking about the APK ripped from the HTC Flyer:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1138194
Also, I attached the APK for you here as well, so you can check it out for yourself!
Rememeber to hit the "THANKS" button since its Sunday night and im missing my snugglefest session haha....also hit the thanks button on the original thread for their hard work.
Thanks,
Bobby

New Galaxy S2 user Few questions.

Hey guys and gals. Just got my S2 couple days ago and I love it, few minor issues that I would love some help on.
First of all background. This is an international S2 i9100 with firmware of
PDA: KJ1 Phone: KI4 CSC: KJ3 (TUR). (from kies)
I bought this locally here in Turkey after the frustration that my iphone4 was locked to att and my droid incredible is cdma only.
One of my biggest concerns is Android market. I do not have the Same market that i do on my HTC incredible (verizon wireless USA bought). The market that came with S2 is only for free apps and missing most of the popular free apps.
How can I get the US version of Android market.
-After googling this I found out that I needed to install market enabler on a rooted phone. Is there any other method of doing this? (flashing with UK or US based ROM?)
Even though I have owned HTC incredible for 2 years, I never customized or rooted :/ and naturally i dont have any idea whats goin on here, can anyone point me in the right direction of customizing and tweaking the s2 (would love to see what this phone can do).
Thanks in advance

I would start here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1134290
Read the first few posts, then look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399
Again read the first few posts, then at least the last 10.
Once you understand the process, go ahead and root your phone.
Then read some of the ROM threads and try any you like the look of. I like VillainROM myself. Stock with some useful tweaks
Hope this helps
Thanks for the great info. I really dont want to root until i am fully confertable with it
Do you know the issue with the android market i mentioned above? The fact that mine is very limited (due to my location, ROM?)

I think the only way to use a different version of market it by only rooting.(someone correct if i am wrong). i think what you need is an app called market enabler. and that should do the trick...any other way i am not familiar with sorry.
Here you go mate a link to give you a bit more info what i was talking about

hmm. I am a little confused by this since the HTC incredible i have has an US market working fine. (on the same wifi network as my s2)
