Just as the title says, I'm wanting to change all my system fonts. How would I go about doing that? Running P3 gb and funken theme
Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
Use UOT Kitchen its basically a online theme maker you just upload your framewor-res.apk and systemUI.apk and make your changes and it creates a flashable zip for you its really easy and cool...its not half-assed or anything very good stuff.

Or install a program called spare parts i think you can change fonts with that directly from phone.

Not sure if it's currently working, but I know fonts wouldn't take when flashed in CWM when the TB first came out. I use an app called font changer with fonts I found in a thread in the EVO section. I pull the ttf files from the zips and place them in sd/fontchanger. You can also use that same folder to use different fonts for Minimalistic Text Widget.
Absolute System from the market.

nice, thanks for all the suggestions. Seems like absolute system has the best ratings. Do these allow you go back to stock font? I have a backup but just wondering.
Font changer and sure type both worked.

Hi everybody,
I've tested flashing custom UOT themes on Gingerbread and they work just great. I've included a link to the stock android files so you can now cook your own custom themes in UOT Kitchen. The only elements that don't work are boot animations lock screens. Use amend scripting and load up the two files in the zip below and you're good to go. Have fun! Once you have the zip from UOT, just flash it like a rom in recovery.
Download:
https://www.box.net/shared/ueuslkzquip0bksvucva
Zip contains framework and system ii files for stock GB. May work on ROMs but untested.

No, no, no, perhaps I should clarify. These are the files you need to plug into UOT kitchen to make YOUR OWN themes. You can make a gb theme if you want...it's all there.

Yeah, UOT has been overloaded for a while. I was going to test something with CRT on it, but haven't for the last week :/

Makes me sad, i was going to use it xD
seems like a good site just its been updating sence yesterday
if you pick something that doesnt work will it just not work or will it brick and force you to recover?
It just won't show. It's not really optimized for stock motorolla stuff and some of our files have wonky names compared to stock android stuff so things don't match up. When we get true custom ROMs we will be able to do more. At this point, everything is essentially reskinned and reworked blur under the hood.

edit: nevermind.
Anyways, useful post! Thank you.
Ok the kitchen is back online so you all should be good to go. Remember these files are for stock GB and may not work on custom ROMs. Use at your own risk!

Hey, euro, could you somehow possible post a zip for the default theme so that we can go back to that if we so desire? By that I mean the default gb one specifically on our x2s

Actually just replacing your modified APKs with the stock ones above should take you back to stock. If you want a flashable zip I can make one but it might be a while.
You can also flash themes on top of each other if you don't like how it turns out.

Completely Transparent lockscreen background. Whatever your saved wallpaper is will be your background. No More Darkness!!!
Just flash in Recovery
Return to Stock zip Included
Warning, if you have made any changes to framework-res.apk this will return them back to stock 0.7. its best to flash this on stock 0.7 and then make whatever changes to framework-res.apk after.
Credit and thanks to nitro and xkape.
Thanks. Going to flash here in a bit.
EDIT: Worked just fine.

I really like the titanium look. I always wanted something like this.
Does it have the screen shot option when you hold the power button down like in the stock 2.2.1? Does it have the flashlight widget in the notification bar too??
You can't use this theme on 2.2.1 but there is one just like it called icex for 2.2.1 however it doesn't have this keyboard which I like so I used root explorer to switch the keyboard with this one. And the icex theme has all the pulldown toggles as stock 2.2.1
It also has the screenshot option.

So I'm making a custom theme for a rom that gets applied through the aokp theme manager. I've got a keyboard themed but the letters are not legible so I need to change the color of them to probably black. Does anyone know what I need to change for this?

I have not modified a keyboard since Froyo but it might be the same
you need to decompile the apk, modify some xml files and I remember having to modify some 9patch files too.
