i flashed the virtuous rom its working fine, i had to enter some APN info (rogers 4g gsm evo 3d) not sure if it was the right one, but the data is working, the sms timing is off by a few hours, and i can not send or receive mms. Any help would be great, thanks!
well i restored to original after this problem annoying me too much and everything is working fine now
fix
i had the same problem with the custom roms.
to fix the time stamp issue you either have to go back to the stock rom or download a time stamp fixer from the market.
as for not being able to send or receive mms check out the forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1208485

the ruu roms are stock roms for the evo 3d. if you use a RUU that isn't rogers then you would probably have to enter apn settings again if it even works.
there is a Rogers RUU in the EVO 3D GSM Development forums.
but if you are using the virtuous rom then just download the sms time stamp fixer from the market and set it up
then input the settings in my previous post for your apn settings. if they dont work then you have other problems.

I'm running CM7... it appears everytime I flash something, my APN gets deleted...
Any suggestions??
I've had that issue with Froyo, but not with CM7 or MIUI. Whenever I updated my ROM I'd have to re-enter my APNs.
It's possible to restore your APNs from a Titanium backup, but I've since forgotten which of the oddly worded system apps contains the APN data.

Everytime I flash something with this phone my APNs get deleted. There is an app in the market called **wait for it** APN Backup/Restore. Works for me everytime. Saved a .txt file to your SDcard and then when you restore it pulls the info off there.
Ha!

Thanks man! I hit reset to default APN and rebooted a few times and it finally popped back up... I have flashed Roms and stuff many times and never had this happen... IDK whats going on.... Hope it isnt going to delete on every reboot!
Actually, I toggled between 2G/3G a few times... I think that is when I lost it. Is this a bug in CM7 nightlies??
Not sure about it being a bug on this phone but I have seen it happen on CM6/7 on others. Use that app I put up there. It is one of those apps that I DL and then just sort of forget about until I need it. Low footprint too.
I was using the XXKH3-Deodexed-Zipaligned-Rooted-CWM-Busybox ROM and I have updated my GTi9100 with ICS 4.0.3 I9100XXLPB rom.
After updating the ROm, the 3G data package services are not working.
If I am trying to download an MMS, it says download failed. The carrier is ETISALAT UAE.
Anyone who can help me sownload the correct ICS ROM file??
But not from multiupload, i think the site is not working in UAE.
Regards,
You don't need any ROM files. What you need is your carrier's APN settings.
Google for the proper settings for your carrier and then go to Settings/Wireless and Network/Mobile networks/Access Point Names and press menu button. Add a new APN and enter the data there. Do the same for your MMS.
