Hey guys. I'm looking to buy a new phone this week, and i'm torn between the Sensation XE and the Samsung Galaxy S2. I can get them both free on a £30 per month contract with 900 mins, 5000 texts and 1Gb of data. So i'll post this on both the Sensation (since there is no XE board) and the SGS2 board. Hopefully someone on here has an XE, if not anyone with the normal Sensation please give some info as to how you've found it, same goes for owners of the SGS2.
Here is how i see it at the moment.
Screen
Sensation XE - 4.3" qHD 960x540 S-LCD
SGS2 - 4.3" Super AMOLED+ 400x800
This is one of the things i'm confused about, i mean, clearly the AMOLED display will have better contrast and viewing angles, but i'm slightly concerned about the resolution being only 480x800. On my Omnia 7 the super amoled 480x800 on only a 4" display looks pixelated. Could someone let me know whether the SGS2 uses the Pentile matrix or full RGB set-up?
Processor
Sensation XE - 1.5Ghz dual core Qualcomm MSM8260
SGS2 - 1.2Ghz dual core Exynos
The XE has a higher clock speed but I'm worried that sense 3.0 will slow it down. And also the Exynos is probably better than the Qualcomm.
RAM
Sensation XE - 768Mb
SGS2 - 1Gb
Clearly the SGS2 is better here.
Internal storage
Sensation XE - 4Gb (1Gb user accessible)
SGS2 - 16Gb/32Gb
Expandable Memory
Sensation XE - Micro SD, up to 32Gb
SGS2 - Micro SD, up to 32Gb
Dimensions
Sensation XE - 126.1 x 65.4 x 11.3 mm 151g
SGS2 - 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.49 mm 116g
Battery
Sensation XE - 1730Mah
SGS2 - 1650Mah
Camera
Sensation XE - 8MP, dual LED flash 2MP FF, 1080p video
SGS2 - 8MP, LED flash 0.3MP FF, 1080p video
So that's the specs, obviously in most categories the Sensation XE is the winner, but i would like to know what people who have actually used the phones think. There are some things other than the hardware which separate the two, such as Sense 3.0 on the XE, and Touchwiz on the SGS2. Not forgetting beats integration on the XE.
So that turned into a face off really, but still. What do you guys think? I'd love to here some suggestions as to which i should buy. I've had a Desire HD, rooted and S-Off'd obviously, and used sense 3.0 on that and it ran quite nicely, so a dual core processor should be even better. I'll stop now.
Look forwards to your responses guys Alex
Go for the sensation XE if you get them for free. I have sgs2 and I'm reallly satisfied. But HTC is newer, got good specs. I know you wont be unsatisfied with any of them. But if i was in your shoes then i would go for htc

In my opinion, the only thing better in the sensation is the build quality, the SGS2 is better in everything else, including the screen imo(+1 for full RGB setup)....
Also, the exynos SoC is better than all the crap qualcomm produces....
The sgs2 will be faster than the sensation, and the screen is great.
On rawr resolution the sensation may win, but the sgs2 has ammazing viewing angles, colour, contrast etc.
I would get the sgs2 over the sensation myself, but i don't like sense, so that's more of a personal thing.
In the end, hardware wise there both good, so it's a matter of software, goodness knows when htc will officially drag there phones to ics due to sense, i dont see samsung draging there heals so much, a lot of what was in touchwizz seems to have gone into ics.
Tl;dr both good, software I think is the deciding factor (I would vote sgs2 but that's because this is the sgs2 forum)

Yeah i got the Camera specs the wrong way around In benchmarks the SGS2 does seem to outperform the XE in things like linpack and Neocore. Full RGB is a plus on the screen front. I'm so confused :L I know what HTC are like though, so if i get the XE in a week or two they'll release something way better and i'll feel like a douchebag
Just came from a sensation to a galaxys2 today owned the HTC for 2months , all i can say is i will never miss the HTC over the gs2, your worrys about the res in the screen has no effect from the difference the SA+ screen, colors have no depth and look like they have a white glow on the sensation, mine was custom romed with beats profiles on it, it is good, however power amp does a better job. Build is good but fat and i got a slim line case and it felt like a brick. But sense 3.0/3.5 is great very flash and handy for social news feeds etc.
All i can say is have a try urself instore and make sure to look at the sensation screen compared to the gs2s ,
Oye and one other thing , my HTC from new out of the box had white dead pixels and showed up really bad at grey colours, they drove me crazy , also the HTC only has toughen glass vs the gorilla glass on the gs2 and i had a thick protecter on and it got scratched
Hope i helped

The only thing I don't want for an HTC phone is sense. As pretty and lust worthy as it is, the performance is subpar.
I had an HTC Desire for about a year and half, s-off and all that. I played with the Sensation as a few friends had them and being honest I'm happy I made the switch from HTC.
Not thinking about the UI the SGS2 is faster, I think the screen is better and everything is responsive. Rooting takes 5 minutes once you have it figured out. Ive only had it 2 weeks but its more responsive imo and using a sensation again felt like it was slow.
I'm still figuring it out really but they do feel really diffrrent in the hands. The sensation is heavier and feels more solid in the hand but also feels bigger. The SGS2 feels lighter but still tough, although it feels a bit cheaper it feels like it will last.
The Touch Wiz interface I do like. I also liked Sense with my last phone, TW is better with more options and functions as well as being fast and responsive. I'm just trying to get my head around it but I'm liking it a lot.
Oh and the battery life is awesome, a full day and half with light use and I had 20% left. I used gps, internet, made about 30 mins of calls, about 40 texts as well as syncing my gmail, hotmail, facebook, exchange email the whole time. I'm also still running the stock rom but rooted, I just use juice defender.
I hope that helps. Ask the same question in the sensation board and you will prob get the same about the HTC. It's really up to you, try both and see what you think. Look past the how the UI works and see how it feels you hand and also how responsive as well as accurate. You are going to be holding the phone for usually a year so it better feel right.

I'd get the sgs2 easily, reviews have showed the the bump from 1.2ghz to 1.5ghz hardly makes any difference on the XE, sgs2 has a better screen, more memory, is very light and with proper eq settings can easily outclass the bass heavy beats sound on the htc. let me not forget, it runs like a dream
Iv'e confused myself even more now Just checked out the Moto Razr and it looks amazing. And its super Amoled Advanced with qHD so best of SGS2 and Sensation. Damn you OEM's! Stop making great phones i can't choose between. Screw it i'll get an iPhone............... oh no wait i have a brain.
The Razr has a locked bootloader so if you want to flash a custom rom onto it, the Razr defeats the purpose. Also Motorola is horrible at updates and keeping customer's satisfied. Moreover Motorola's software is even more subpar than sense.
Yeh, unlocked bootloader and no need to s-off or anything is another good reason to go samsung or nexus.

Yeah i suppose. Difficult decision. Might wait to see what HTC do with ICS
Galaxy nexus ftw. But if you cant get that than definetely get the RAZR or GSII. HTC offers great build quality but their software is buggy and hogs the battery. I enjoy TouchWiz and I also like Motorola's GingerBlur; its kind of nice.

I would say the SGSII for sure, i like HTC and my last phone was the superb HD2 but HTC sense is a resource hog and i always just flashed non sense ROM's but i do believe Samsung have overtaken HTC in the smartphone market and to date the SGSII is still the phone to beat.

Alright i have a Samsung Galaxy S and will be upgrading to a new device but torn between so many phones. I'm with Bell Canada and so far my choices are as follows:
HTC Raider LTE
Samsung Galaxy S II 4G
Google Galaxy Nexus
LG Optimus LTE
Each phone has its flaws:
Raider
preformed slow in benchmark test vs SGSII
Crappy Battery
SGSII
Not LTE
only wvga and not qHD/HD (720P)
Galaxy Nexus
No micro SD and worse camera then SGSII
Optimus LTE
LG has a bad track record for updates and hardware(never like LG Phones)
Each Phone has it qualities:
Raider
Sence vs Touchwiz (I think Sence is better integrated in the OS the Touchwiz)
qHD
Think HTC has better built quality the Samsung
SGSII
Super AMOLED
Better Benchmarks then Raider
Galaxy Nexus
Android 4.0 ICS
HD Display
Stock Google (no bloatware like Sence or Touchwiz)
LG Optimus LTE
LTE
HD Display
Lite wait integration so similar to AOSP.
Things I'm looking for in a superphone, browsing the web without delay. Quick app launches, Graphics for games, Battery life that last a full day with moderate to heavy usage. XDA Dev support, I guess this is the biggest if there are no Dev's making custom ROM/Kernels then the phone is not worth it. I don't think 16GB (13GB Usable) is enough for me with all my music and apps so Miro SD is a must unless internal is 32GB.
You could further limit your choices to the Galaxy S2 and the Galaxy Nexus. Here's a comparison: http://10division.com/samsung-galax...xy-s2-the-complete-ultimate-comparison-guide/ and a benchmark: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1352839. Even though the Galaxy Nexus scored higher in the benchmark, don't be deceived. ICS was optimized for dual core, so when the SGS2 gets ICS, many people believe it will knock out the Galaxy Nexus. At the moment the SGS2 has more development going on. Hope your choice is a bit easier .
ohh i agree these these phones are still new and it will take till Feb/March to actually seem some good solid development.
But no it does not make my choice easier, because ICS on SGS is most likey 6 or so months away. It terms of integration i would rather have Google stock then touchwiz as i find it bloated and ugly (too iPhoneish). By far the best integration is HTC Sense but then it also uses more resources.
I wonder is there is stable CyogenMOD for SGSII coz that will solve some problems.
I think it boils down between the Raider and SGSII. Maybe i'm just favoring HTC as i own a few samsung devices (Omnia 2, Wave, Galaxy 7500, Galaxy S) and and find they always have stupid limitations. Where as i never owned HTC but they tend to listen to the customer and try to give you best of the best in both hardware and software, but never owning one i could be shooting myself in the foot.
ARG still very much undesired.

Actually, it's closer than you think. ICS is confirmed for the SGS2 for December 2011.
Source: http://androidadvices.com/android-ice-cream-sandwich-mobiles-tablets-announcement-table/.
Yeah but that's most likely Europe, Canada (Bell Canada) didn't get Gingerbread until 2.3.3. So if the trend is the same its going to be at least 6 months from the first ICS release.
I only saw one firmware release of Froyo and one release of Gingerbread in Canada in the last 2 years. So we tend to laggy behind, don't know who is to blame Samsung or Bell but that's the way it has always been here.
The specs on the LG Optimus LTE make it difficult to ignore. I want to see one of these before I pass judgement.
Hmm I would take HTC cause I don't trust Samsung and LG enough. They don't convinced me by their previous devices.

I'm in the market for a new phone too and looking into whats what. Did you consider the Sensation XE? I've been totally sold on SENSE but since a couple of weeks on CM with a decent launcher and widgets I can't go back to SENSE. This is on my current Desire HD. Now I'm free to choose anything that has good CM support. But in the end I swayed to XE because of the battery capacity and smaller screen compared to Nexus. CM looks pretty active on the native Sensation.
I've read today that some Samsung Galaxy Nexus have problems with volume. It's still not known the reason (hw or sw) but it seems that if two SGN are near, the volume calls of one influences the other one sound volume.
Google it to have more infos.

Bell does not have the Sensation XE, I'm still leaning towards the Raider and if sense starts to slow it down then i can always go CM that is if the Dev's support it. Don't even have a fourm for it here on XDA, sure have the HTC vivid but i would like its own fourm. Samsung's SGSII look good but it still samsung they don't have the best integration with the OS and somethings do not work.
LG i can't say never owned one but reading about LG support it seems it worse then Samsung.

Do you have any proof of this?
On paper the optimus lte is the best phone to get, assuming ics update comes out for it. I had the phone on order and will be canceling it tomorrow. Why? Well...what we didn't know till now is the actual processor used in the phone. Whereas the galaxy nexus uses an omap 1.5ghz clocked down to 1.2ghz, which saves battery life (and could be oc'd again if you root it), the optimus lte actually uses an outdated apq8060 qualcomm processor which is rated at 1.2ghz. They've then over clocked it to reach 1.5ghz. That leads to huge battery drain, giving the phone a 3 hour battery life compared to 6 hours on the galaxy nexus.
I don't know why lg did this. The phone it was designed to co Pete with, the galaxy s2 hd lte (which is released in Korea only so far) runs the msm8660 processor at a stock 1.5ghz, and is able to provide just over 5 hours of talk time. Again...compared to just 3 hours on the optimus lte. It's a ridiculous move by lg and ruined a phone that had a "lot" of potential.

I should have clarified....outdated for a phone that's trying to be the #1 in terms of hardware and processing power. The fact they went with the apq8060 instead of the msm8660 at the very least is disappointing.

How do you figure? Speed has nothing to do with the MHz or GHz. Different architectures can do more work per cycle than others. The CPU in this phone is so bad that it will die after 1 hour and 25 minutes of streaming a Netflix video. Whereas the iPhone can pull about 6 hours.
TI's omap processors are far better than the current qualcomm s3 chips. Samsung's exynos is better even yet. Maybe when the s4 krait quad-2.5ghz come out they'll do better as they're 28nm as opposed to 45nm on the current chips. But then the exynos will beat it out again.
I spent 5 hours of my day playing around with this phone. Everything about it is quite decent. Feels great in my hand. Super light weight. Beautiful display. Better browser and benchmarks than other similar phones. But has like half the battery life too...at unacceptable levels. Skip this phone.
---------- Post added at 06:16 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:13 AM ----------
P.s. I should add that the galaxy nexus is far outperforming this phone in benchmarks. And it is running a 1.5ghz chip that's been Downclocked to 1.2ghz. So you could always set it back to stock speeds and get a 20% performance boost in non-gpu activities. Once the nexus launches in early December I'll get to test it out for myself but from all the tests I've seen, the only problem you could have with the phone is that it's a super amoled, and not a super amoled plus screen. Though at 720p that may not be such a huge issue.
I've had many Samsung phones and then made the switch to the HTC sensation 4G. Forget the fact that it is thicker and oh so much heavier then Samsung phones. But Sense as pretty as it is takes way to much power, and battery life is non existent! People would constantly complain of sound quality and had many dropped calls. Took me almost 4 months to understand, but once i did i ran back to samsung and am now sporting the Tmobile SGSII and it is lighter, thinner, oh so much faster! and smoother then the Sensation. everyone noticed an improved voice quality and no more dropped calls!
Can I nip this question in please!
Between the SGS2 and Sensation XE if both are running say CM7 at approx the same CPU, which one would likely have a better battery life?

The Samsung Galaxy SII.
i suggest get the Samsung Galaxy S2. its like having a laptop putting it in a compact Smartphone. S2 does it all from gaming, entertainment, document editing etc.
I will be handing down my Swagged out EVO to my wife and I will be upraging. Which is the better option right now the EVO 3D or the Galaxy S2? Or does someone have another option?
I am considering also an evo 3d. I have sgs2 and i like it. it could be nice to hear from someone who has tried both phone.

Well, your most likely gonna get a biased answer in this forum, BUT, I, being a huge HTC fan, but also an honest, unbiased person, would go with (as i already have) the GS II, I used to love HTC sense, and i used to hate touchwiz, but then i tried twiz 4.0, and its much lighter, and in my opinion, nicer then sense. Not to mention the combination of the exynos processor and the mali 400 gpu is better then ANYTHING HTC has to offer at this time. All they have is qualcomm SoC, and Adreno gpu's, which dont get me wrong are great, but they just cant compete with the current hardware in samsungs S II devices, as a matter of fact, IMHO, i dont think ANYTHING can compete. I turned down a nexus and decided to wait for ICS for my gs II, and I will not be upgrading until the gs III or a quad core sammy come around. Go with the GS II, from one previous HTC lover, to a current HTC lover, you will not be disappointed, Not to mention the Dev support for this device is greater then any other device Ive EVER seen. You'll be more than happy with a GS II. Please, update me on what you decide to do.
Edit: My bro has the Evo 3D. IIMHO the GS II is better in EVERY department. IF I was going to go with HTC cause samsungs went extinct, it would be either a sensation (dev support) or an Amaze/Ruby (best hardware equipped HTC ATM.)
First thing, why on earth do you feel the need to use so many question marks. It is a question, we get that or did you face palm the keys while typing?
My advise to you would be to go in the shop and test both out, see which feels the best in your hand. They both have good features on them so the choice has to be made by only you.
For myself, I have a SGS2 and couldn't think of myself with any other phone atm. On a side not I have never been a massive fan of things with 3d. I think it is unneeded for a mobile phone.
I played with a 3D in store and it's pretty cool, although I'm not sure how long it'll last past the first couple of days.
I owned the Evo3D when it came out in the US. The real problem for me with the device was the carrier (Sprint). Their service is beyond crap so I ended up returning the device more because I couldn't get reception. The device itself is very nice. IMO the Evo3D is probably the best HTC device out there with its 1gb of Ram and 1.2ghz dual core S3. I thought the 3D aspects were pretty interesting. I was expecting it to be more of a gimmick but it's the real deal.
Overall though, my opinion of Android devices over the last 6 months has not changed (and that includes the Gnex). There's the SGS2 and then there are a bunch of other phones. The GS2 sits perched atop the Android totem pole and no other device I've used has knocked it off.

+1 your opinion on the GS2.... But how could you say the evo 3d is the nicest HTC right now? The amaze has a 1.5hghz dual-core S3, 1 gig of ram, and HSPA+ rated @42mbps, and the rezound/vigor is the same hardware specs as the amaze but with a HD 720 display. The Evo 3d WAS the nicest HTC maybe back in july, but then the sensation was there as well, so i cant even say that with backbone. There is a new gen of HTC devices out now, the Evo 3D is a tier 2 device for them now.

Absolutely agree. and as I said before, Im an ANDROID fan, not a specific maufacturer, look at my list, I've had em all, from LG to Moto, and HTC to Sammy, if its android, ill give it a shot. (not including huawei or pantech) lmao
I am really stuck here. I love the One X's SLCD2 display and sense, but I think the SGS3 will have better battery life and a removable battery (correct me if I'm wrong), so I would really appreciate an un-biased answer, I have until the 4th of May to make my mind up completely. A poll has also been attached. Thanks!
We don't know anything about the s3 yet. You seem to not have fallen in love with that phone or you wouldn't be asking, so send it back.
But, the s3 isn't even being announced until the 3rd, and who knows how long we have to wait for a release? And depending on where you live it could be longer (might not be worldwide right away). So in that sense, keep your 1x.
You also need a 'don't give a ****' option in your poll
If you're asking this it would suggest you aren't overly fussed on the One X; I wasn't either for the short period I was using one.
If I was in your shoes I would send back and wait for the release of the S3; or at least wait till the 3rd and see what is unveiled. I think the S3 is going be better than the One X; and I am pretty positive it will be a removable battery since Samsung are known to hate internal batteries.
Touchwiz on the S2 did ruin stock ICS, but remember touchwiz 4.0 was designed for GB, the touchwiz on the S3 will be designed for ICS, so it will have more of an ICS feel which will be sweet.
I am going try get my hands on one, my work will be getting one hopefully; but I wouldn't get much use on it.
*snip* SIII is released, comments retracted.

And TouchWiz doesn't?
In all honesty OP, you're best just sitting on the One X until the S3 is officially announced and you can see how the specs really line up. Give it a week, there will be 10 reviews of the S3 vs. One X and you can make an educated decision for yourself.
Personally I don't think there will be much difference between the two, if at all. If the current trend to drop the removable battery and SD card is followed then the only thing that will separate the two will be design.

Have you used SGS2? At least on GB the Touchwiz was very light and smooth compared to laggy Sense on Sensation. + With Touchwiz there comes the only real smooth web browser in the Android world at the moment.
So I was typing a response and accidentally refreshed the page... From my perspective, I would go for the SGS III, though I do agree that it may be a good idea to wait until the third to see if it is what you want. It all comes down to preference, get what you want. I'm a bit fed up with HTC because of the poor build quality of their phones I have used and worked on, as well as the locked bootloaders. I don't think they have much in the way of quality control (I went through 3 Evo 3Ds before I found one that didn't have an extremely yellowed screen). As big of a deal that Samsung is making about their new flagship, it had better be good.
Wait and see if it is the device for you.
EDIT: Also, Sense is a b**ch.
what a great idea to post this in the GS3 forum xP
i'm in the same situation, just that my OneX has backlight flickering. so i could return it and instead get a GS3...
i wait till it's announced, if it has better build quality than the old galaxies, i switch, else i stay.
i still hate the paperfeeling of the galaxy devices

Have you used SGS2? At least on GB the Touchwiz was very light and smooth compared to laggy Sense on Sensation. + With Touchwiz there comes the only real smooth web browser in the Android world at the moment.

Hah. Chill. Yes I've used an S2, I've owned one since release day.
I have no problem with TouchWiz, it was a joke. I would hardly call it light, but it is smooth. And yes, the browser is awesome (although I prefer Chrome).
For me, right now - before 3rd of May, this question is irrelevant. After SGS III premiere, you'll know what's going on. Today all you know about this phone are rumors. So let's wait till Thursday.
for me ,waiting S3 ,but my girlfriend HTC ONE X also awesome. power phone
AT&T has a history of releasing the Galaxy phones about six months after Samsung announces them.
So don't expect to see an ATT LTE Galaxy S3 until October/November at the earliest.
If you don't care about LTE, then you could pick up a non-LTE European GSM version for $600-$900.
I'd stick with the HTC though. That LTE is totally worth it, IMO.
I'm almost certain that the GS3 will be slightly better than the ONE X, but when it comes to quality, feel in the hand and looks the ONE X is very hard to beat (and lets be honest, Samsung doesnt have a history of classy phones)! Anw i'm torn between the two and i hope Samsung makes my decision hard! Cheers!

Hi
yeah it does look likely that the s3 will only be slightly better
1. s3's screen will more or less be the same as the one x's
2. they both have quad core cortex a9 processors under the hood
3. the s3 may have a better gpu
4. one x already has 32gb memory so sd card slot or not it doesnt matter
5. s3 may have better battery life and maybe even a removeable battery
6. s3 will probably have 4g lte
so it is going to be the gpu performance, battery life and 4g that will give the s3 the win over one x's better looks and feel assuming the s3 is not gonna have the same
BUT is all that really worth the wait...................

To respond to hannibal post :
1. The screen will be better then x's that's 100% sure
2. Sgs3 will have better performance on that quad core
3. Sgs will have better gpu , we agree on that mail 400 440 mhz (prolly)
4. Sgs with sd card slot
5. Bigger battery then HTC X, 2050 we are expecting, quad core using less battery , sgs3 will have green pixel which will reduce 20% amoled consumption
6. agree on that
7. led notification (possible)
8. Samsung will add something new, smth like eye recognition...
Anything else which goes in HTC + would be design
Its not worth to wait , its worth to BUY !!!
You're forgetting it has Touchwiz not Sense. Whatever the specs are, Sense ftw
*snip* SIII is released, comment retracted.

Thats your opinion, I'm not a big fan of TW as a launcher myself but I'll take it over sense any day. Sense is bloated, laggy and slow.
Have both? Thats what I'm planning on

which is the best of these two?
They are both about the same. Both brands are of great quality. I actually prefer Samsung over HTC because I think, that HTC hardware(CPU, GPU) is not as good as it should be.
vote for S3, smartest, fastest, friendly
Well I think I will go with Samsung Galaxy S3
SGS3 Hardware is superior to the Tegra 3 inside the One X but the One X "feels" better imo, just should try both of em.

Sgs3 by far.
sure sgs3. but take a look on new Sony models - their design & materials are great - maybe you can give them a chance?
by giving this title to this thread u are about to start a war here on xda..:highfive:
OnTopic go for GS3! :silly:
I think the Htc one X is better than the Sgs3 because i like the design of the Htc and I prefer Sense than Touchwizz

Also remember that the HTC One X isn't exactly the same as the HTC Evo 4G LTE... The Evo 4G LTE is even more similar to the Galaxy S3... But this decision is my current dilemma too. Sounds like both can have great radios for clear reception and there are also a few defective ones out there. The radio is one of my personal concerns because Samsung has had some issues with them in the past but from what I'm hearing they're improved the radio a lot on the S3. Let us know what you decide!

sure
HTC One X
Offering you lightning-fast web browsing, remarkable picture quality and seamless gaming visuals due to the powerful quad-core processor. You’ll love the minimalist design and the camera that captures every moment (even in low light) with crisp, vivid, beautiful photos. It also lets you take a photo while shooting HD video.
Samsung Galaxy S3
Gorgeous 4.8″ Super AMOLED touchscreen, new voice features, faster processor, good call battery life, Android 4.0 ICS, new camera tricks and nifty new software.
Although heavier than the Samsung Galaxy S II due to a clear 306PPI 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED touchscreen, it’s still thin and looks better than an iPhone 4S retina screen. The S Voice wake-up feature is secure and most voice functions work very well.
For me,I like S3 more.

You can't get Sense on GS3, and usually can't get Touchwiz on anything but GS3.
The One X is the phone that may not tick all the spec boxes, but there is a certain quality to it that the GS3 lacks. The GS3 does everything, but at the end of the day, it isn't as exciting as an HTC phone might be.
Both are about the same when they are perfect units, but the GS3 may have some things that you must need. If you need removable battery or microSD, then Samsung has already won the battle.
