If i switch off the room lights i will see it better its a black background and has a vertical white line,, it does not last for even a sec. then the unlock screen will appear
should i get back to the suppier and ask for a another phone or its normal? it is from the ROM??

Mine is the same. I should think its the software and not hardware related.

[Q] Notification leds???

hi, i know there is not a notification led on GS2! ( bad) , but im wondering if the roms here can added this on our phones?? or can someone make a zip file so we can see the blue red yellow colors when received calls/sms/etc....
i know we can use some app from the market! thanks a lottttttttttttttttt and sorrrrrrrryyyyyyyyy
on the siyahkernel BLN i think its called is supported, where the menu and back buttons flash or light up while the screen is off, there is no way to make them change colour as there are no coloured LED's installed apart from white... hope this helps!
You could also try noled from play store, pretty fun

Screen is very grey compared to my old SGS2, why?

Hey.
Screen is very grey compared to my old SGS2, why?
I got this sgs2 a few days ago and after that I immediately put hydrogen rom on it, and now I decided to go back to gingerbread. When I went back I immediately noticed how grey it was, for example when you press the settings key and get the options such as "Wallpaper, Setting, Edit" options, that is light grey, where it is suppose to be dark grey.
Someone know how to fix this?
I took a picture of this, but in the picture it looks FINE, but in real the screen is grey!!
Whats wrong?
Looks fine to me.... How about reflash, a stock rom. Or check screen mode.

I had it happen after a rom flashing. Try rebooting. That solved it for me.

Ya same thing with me. Reboot does not solve issue.....
Also the colors seem fine on any AOSP ICS rom like cm9 or hydrogen aokp.......but when going back to gingerbread the colors are off again

S3 with backlight issue?

hello,
i own a galaxy s3 and i am wondering whether it has a backlight issue or not.
backlight is set to automatic; it happens that, when the phone is not being used for some seconds, the phone trims down the backlighting BUT the backlight is not 'smooth', ie it looks like it trims it down through two or three steps. the same applies when i touch the screen and the phone raises up the backlighting.
does it happen to everyone...? unfortunately, i cannot compare to another galaxy right now.
thanks.
Dont think i have seen that on mine but, the S3 doesn't have a backlight.
okay, will try to make a video and upload it.

You should try reading up on AMOLED screens. There is no backlight. Each pixel has its own LED.

alright, I forgot the theoretical part, but it doesn't change the fact that the screen luminosity doesn't change smoothly..

[Q] Power Toggles Flashlight issue

Hello everyone. I bought an atrix one month ago.
I have one stuck pixel I know its alright
Now i am using power toggles. And when i open flashlight on power toggles one more stuck pixel is seen.
I dont understand anything.
Is there solution or somebody know about something that issue?
There's a test video online that is suppose to help with stuck pixels by flashing intense color patterns repeatedly. Never had any success with it personally, but couldn't hurt to try though. Google lcd stuck pixel fix or something along those lines.

Red screen

Hello guys,
Today while I was using Llama to config some actions my screen got red, yes... seems to be a red layer over all the screen.
It doesn't flash or blink and isn't that red border error.
I tried to reboot. While shuting down or turning on the screen is normal, the Samsung logo screens are normal. When the android stars the screen is red again.
I also tried to change screen configs on native screen config options, but had no sucess.
The attached file shows the error...
PS: what seems to be the red layer does not apply to notifications, wifi connection in the screenshot.
Does anyone have any suggestion about this?
Thanks!

Try something for me, if you could: adjust the brightness manually. Does it affect the color or how much it is colored? Does just removing Llama help or the settings are already stuck? Factory reset and / or reloading the OS is always an option, though not always the most desirable one.
Thanks for your reply.
When adjusting the brightness manually the red color follows the brightness changes.
I have removed Llama and restarted the phone, but nothing has changed.
Yes... i was thinking about factory reset, but will wait a little before that =)

Interesting info: when someone calls me the screen gets normal (no more red overlay) until the end of the call. After the call is finished everything is red again!!!
So weird lol...

Something is using this: http://www.jdepths.com/2013/01/how-to-overlay-view-over-everything-on.html
Maybe you can run a logcat and look for it there?
That's exaclty what happened!
Could you help me how to do that?
I don't know exactly how to run the log.

Or on PC if you have adb setup:
adb logcat
Then post your findings to pastebin.org for others to read it easiest.
I have uninstalled lux lite dash, which manages screen brightness,; and the problem was gone!
Thks for your help guys!

Ahhh You didn't mention having that one. Definitely would have been a...red flag.
