[TOOL] SetXperia Overclock/Undervolt Tool - XPERIA X10 Android Development

I am not the developer of this app neither I am a developer, however, I foundit to be very usefull and would like to share it.
The app is called SetXperia and can be downloaded for free from the Market.
This app is a modification made by another dev of an app called SetVsel so that it is optimized for Xperia Devices.
While it is not mentioned in the compatible devices list it works like a charm in my X10i with FreeKernel.
The main purpose of the app is to control CPU speed and voltages. Some of the features don't work, but hopefully our devs will take advantage of this app while overclocking our devices.
If you find this post useful please click the "Thanks" button.

This must be in 'themes and apps section'...

I posted it here since its an app to help us with Overclocking which relates directly to development. However, I wouldn't mind if the thread is moved to the Themes and Apps section but I think it will not get attention from the devs if not posted here.
Did you get to try the app? what do you think about it?

Oh, and i've had a little problem, this app set Max and Min Speed to 128mhz when screen is off. Some1 else has this problem? (WB4.0.4 DKv4a)

This apps function similar setcpu, but it is downgrade version.

Just make sure you create a profile with the appropriate speed before applying the new settings.
I find this app to be very useful since it lets me set the voltages for each supported processor speed.
Sorry to read it didn't work for you.

it should run smooth now check the updated version in the market

[Q] Screen Pixelation

Need help finding an article I had read on fixing the Fascinates font pixelation. Pictures look awesome, but the fonts are a bit fuzzy, especially smaller fonts. I had read it just last week, but cannot find it in my history anywhere. Whatever they did really sharpened the fonts (at least in the screenshots). I am pretty sure it was about the Fascinate, but it may have been AMOLED in general.
Thanks in advance.

lol, I was just thinking about this. I don't think there's a voodoo kernel for the Fascinate that supports this. I would LOVE to be proven wrong though.
Yeah, I just installed a voodoo kernel and don't see any color settings, just audio via the Voodoo Control App.

Incorrect, there are a few that support this color fix. However as I recall reading, it only works at 100% brightness.

Do you know which ones offhand?
I am using jt1134's latest at 100% brightness and don't see any difference.
Now that I am on the right track though, I will just have to do a little more research.

Wow, it has been a while since I have been on my Fascinate! I think Voodoo no longer supports color tuning though. My son is using my Fascinate right now with Devil Kernel and I think it supports color tuning through an add on program. I pulled the following from the Devil Kernel thread on the Fascinate. I will also check on my sons phone tonight to see if any of these work. Good luck!

It works on Xperia X10i. [Edit] NOT When you put Screen off, it automatically switches to Min frequency and set Max also like Min! So in my case if i turnScreen off phone goes 128/128mhz! only way is to change with CPU master or other tool! [/Edit:]
But i miss some things.
1:Change Voltage in 25mV steps, not 50mv!
2: Main screen with Min/max Clock, governor, I/O settings. So that you can change right away.
3: Option to deactivate Status Bar symbol!
4: Profiles with time Limit. (from 1AM to 6AM, i.e.)
greetings Haldi.

I agree with AndroHero, the CPU Monitor is really good but would look much better if you could make it a bit smaller to match the other icons in the status bar and maybe just make it look a little different?
I wish you could turn off the notifaction icon. Its the only reason I uninstalled the app which is otherwise great. Will be following this thread to watch progress. Its also really good to see an app that has so much control over over clock undervolt and being able to test stability. Great work dev!

IncrediControl - Easy control of voltages and kernel settings!

This app allows you to control your CPU voltages with an easy to use interface. You can increase or decrease voltages (undervolt or overvolt) for all frequencies or fine tune voltages for each individual frequency.
! HTC DEVICES !
! ROOT is Required !
! Kernel that supports HAVS or SVS voltage adjustment REQUIRED !
In addition, if you are an Incredikernel user, the app may also be used to toggle Incredikernel specific features on and off, namely USB fast charging and audio boost.
Get it over at http://www.incredikernel.com
IncrediControl is now also available in the market:
IncrediControl (If you have a dual core CPU do not use the market version until v1.5 final is released)
IncrediControl - Ad Free
Additionally, all donators are eligible to receive the Ad Free version. It doesn't matter how much or how little you donate or have donated. If you don't want to purchase the app from the market, you may donate using the button on this page. Please register on the site first and include your username in the comments box.
All previous donators, please register on the site if you have not done so and contact me with your username!
NOTE: It is a requirement of the HAVS adjustment that the kernel you are using has the HAVS sysfs interface implemented. If it does not, it will not work.
NOTE2: Before using, please delete any boot scripts you may have in /etc/init.d that toggle any of the settings this app controls.
Get it at http://www.incredikernel.com
Restore script - use this if you went too low and find yourself in a boot loop. Flash through recovery:

It might be a permissions thing. I tested on my own internal build. I'll look into it.
New beta posted that fixes compatibility with ziggy's kernels.
Thanks
Thanks for releasing app so fast Chad.
I enjoyed your work on my Incredible and I look forward to your work on the Rezound.
The app makes my life easier, and I've been tweaking it down bit by bit to see how much I can get this phone to sip.
Do you have any plans to do kernels? I'm using Ziggy's which seems to be running fine now (although i had a reboot earlier, but who knows why that happened).
I ran just your kernels religiously on my Incredible and enjoyed the performance and stability.
Regardly, thanks again for all the work you do bro.
Works great!
I would recommend for the Rezound screen size to make the buttons a tad wider. They are rather tiny on this screen and sometimes when i click the voltage adjustment button I click on the value input and go into keyboard entry mode. I have rather smaller hands so i would imaging its more annoying for bigger people.
other than that, great job.
Awesome app. I didn't know you had incorporated cpu controls into it

I get random reboots on Ziggy's no matter what governor and clock speed.
It wipes dalvik cache when it happens too.
If i do a set cpu stress test, and let it sit there, eventually the freeze/reboot happens.
Something about how it's written.

I get it random reboots too, I tried many ROMs out and i still get them. The conclusion I get from it is that we have bad chips.
Ziggy mentioned it had something to do with the cache getting corrupted. Im wondering if regularly clearing it would prevent bootloops from happening

[Q] SetCPU and Vipermod

What if I wish to use setcpu instead of vipermod? Does vipermod auto on?
without even reading the body of your thread... and just reading the thread title... i am going to answer your question/thought/concern whatever it is...
if you are using vipermod, set CPU is useless. and in general, set CPU is useless, for our devices, because it doesn't support dual core devices - it will only apply changes to cpu0 (core 1)
xblackvalorx said:

To answer your question, vipermod checks to see if another program is running (in your case, SetCPU), and if
it detects one it will not run. Therefore, if you want to use SetCPU instead, vipermod will not affect it.
However, I also would recommend using vipermod instead.

CPU master works for dual core. i prefer system tuner pro, however, simply because it is more in depth and does all the functions and more that CPU master pro does.

big.little, is everything okay?

Hello guys,
Today i open cpuz app and there i see a new thing i have never seen before in my phone. Big.little cores, before it says 6 cores x1.75 something like that and now it changed and eating more battery. I tried changing roms, changing kernels but it remain there, is there anything i can do to close it and bring back my battery backup. And it never show core x 1.80.
Thanks (and please understand)
anybody......?
I'm really not sure what your question is. CPU-Z looks normal. 1.80 should be hit when under stress.
It's normal. Nothing wrong with that.
That's how big.LITTLE works.

Flashing kernel causes this to unlock in hardware or what? And whatever rom, kernel on i am it showing as it is. It is 10 months using rn3 and it is showing now, how?
