okay so here is the deal... i was running thunderstick my camera stopped working so i decided to restore to synergy. Once i did that through clockwork my phone never actually loaded up.
I hooking my phone up to the computer but cant do that because my phone stuck at htc white screen and dont have no pg1...zip thing on my sd card so when i go into bootloader there is nothing i can do i think.
So how can I get a ruu on my sd card so i can flash so i can fix my phone. I also tried restoring other roms that I had backed up in the past and still stuck at screen so if there is anyone that can help me i would appreciate. Thanks
If you have a usb to microSD card , you could just load the files directly on the card.
Get into recovery and flash a Rom. An ruu will cause you to lose root.
okay so I will decide to try both ideas. thanks guys
you can flash a rooted ruu here http://dl.dropbox.com/u/29644922/Thunderbolt/Stock Rooted RUU/PG05IMG_stock.zip
now you have root.. i suspect your problem may be the last clockwork recovery 5.0.1.0 everytime i do a restore from it i have the same problem.
Same thing happening to me right now... DAMN IT....
plug in with USB,
at command prompt or from run
run this command
adb reboot bootloader
get in to recovery and mount your USB Storage
copy any RUU you like and reboot to recovery.
I'm pretty sure you can mount the SD-card to your computer in clockwork recovery too.

I need help. I was trying to restore a nand backup but my phone just powered down before it finished. I did a battery pull and it booted up, so I return to recovery to try and restore but I did a full wipe first as I didn't the first time... the phone powered off again during the restore. After another battery pull I can now only get into bootloader. What do I do?
Using TWRP
Yes my phone is charged.
Do you have a ROM to flash on SD card ? Make sure phone is not plugged in ,mine acts up if its plugged in what version of twrp?
No ROM on my SD card, and it wasn't on the charger or USB.
Not sure of the TWRP version but it was early, around when we got S-OFF.
do u have an sd adapter to put it in your pc. then throw a rom on there an put it back in your phone?
what about using a ruu?
I have had the same problem when trying to restore it is a known issue in the twrp thread I believe it is working in 1.3,also I would recommend always keeping at least 1 Rom zip for times like this .if you have a micro SD card adapter you can throw the card from the phone into the adapter and plug it into a computer to move the files,I believe there is also a way to do it through bootloader with the usb
Get into Hboot then you can mount your sd card to your computer. I think its the usb mount option. put a rom on the sd card, wipe and then flash, and your set .. Just look in the recovery or in the hboot for usb mount. You can still access the sd card when in recovery. No need to boot the phone, hope this helps let me know !
Do you have a micro sd card reader and copy the PCGimage.zip file back to your sd card to reflash trpw recovery in bootloader.
Another option is load trpw via fastboot usb.
If you can get recovery back then you should be able to rewipe or restore nand.
instuctions for both here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192661
You can also load CWM via fasboot usb
Aznmode has the easiest approach, it should take just a few minutes to be back using your phone again.
Currently in recovery and flashing a ROM. I put a few files on the SD through USB toggle in recovery, but I flashed the newest TWRP zip first and couldn't get out of bootloader until putting my SD card in a reader to delete it.
I'm NOT going to try and restore my nand backup, starting fresh is better than possibly starting all this over again.
Am I backing up and restoring wrong? It seems pretty straight forward but I've never had trouble with CWR or Amon.
Just flash a ROM, reboot, make sure everything is working, then a nandroid.
I had a similar situation with that recovery. I ended up returning to stock, rerooting and flashing clockwork instead of Twrp recovery.

Ugh, now that I've reloaded everything I'm scared to do a backup/restore. I'll have to sleep on it, going to CWM for peace of mind is tempting as much as I'd prefer to give TWRP a try.
I'm pretty sure I loaded a kernel incorrectly and now all I can get to is the Bootloader and Recovery. I am to the point of just flashing the RUU back to stock but I have never done this and wanted to know if that erased the sd card. I have backups on the sd card but the computer will no longer recognize the phone so I can't get to my backup files.

SD should remain safe with stock flash; though it is curious that you can get into boot loader but you can't access the phone via ADB or even Fastboot?
So I wanted to root my EVO 4G LTE, and I unlocked the bootloader, and then I did moonshine to get S-OFF. The ADB worked fine before that, but every rom I tried to flash didn't get past the boot screen. I looked on here for help and saw stuff about a boot img but since I couldn't get into the ADB I couldn't do anything. So, I decided to do use VipeRUU to get back to where I was in the beginning and try to get back to a stock rom. VipeRUU never could recognize my device so I had to do that bypass method, so I did get to S-ON and have the bootloader unlocked without saying tampered. Also, every time I try to connect my phone to my computer by USB I get the message saying USB Device not recognized. I don't know why that is happening. I can't get into the ADB, if I try to open it, it just flashes for a second running through some text and then instantly closes. Maybe I don't have drivers or something? However, I don't remember deleting anything of the sort.
Now I want to do either one of these things:
1. Just return the phone to how it was before I even tried to root it in the first place.
2. Help me get it back to a standard root that I can use and connect to my computer without issue and still get into my bootloader and potentially flash a decent rom.
I know a lot of these problems exist individually on here, but I feel like I have a specific issue, so I don't really know where to approach this from. All help is appreciated.
Download MeanBean ROM to your computer. Boot into recovery and hook your phone up to your PC. Use the mount setting in recovery to mount either your internal or external storage to your PC then put the ROM zip on your phone. Unmount once you finish transferring the file to your phone. Do a system wipe in recovery (if you're using TWRP 2.6.0.0 choose the Advanced wipe option and select cache, Dalvik cache, Data and System) then flash the MeanBean zip. Once it finishes choose the option to reboot your phone. The phone will boot to the HTC splash screen, then it will reboot into recovery mode. Flash the ROM zip again, and reboot. Let it do its thing and the phone should boot up in a few minutes. Also, check out the link in my sig-it has some useful information contained in it and even has links for the HTC drivers and an easy to follow guide on how to setup ADB on your computer. I also recommend getting S-off:thumbup:
Sent from my EVO using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Ok, so I recently got my Desire X and wanted to root it, I chose the Half Sense rom and did these steps
Unlocked Bootloader
Rooted and flashed CWM onto it as my recovery
Went to flash the Half Sens ROM with aroma,
I then flashed the extra zip file but then I had a blank lit screen when I try to boot (after HTC logo)
I realized it was because I didn't flash the boot.img file so I did that,
However now all I get is a HTC Logo with red text underneath for about a second, and then the screen will go blank.
I can access Fastboot, Bootloader, Recovery mode and I can put stuff on my micro sd card. I have fastboot and adb on my computer too.
How do I get this phone working or at least restore it to default settings??!!
Is it the rom?
I have no backup file (stupidly)
Advice will be thanked!! I really need it.
try reflashing rom....if u have jb hboot, u may need to change ur version of recovery...and then reflash rom with boot.img.....i hope this solves ur prob
I was using the InsertCoin Rom for the Desire 601 for Virgin Mobil, and everything was fine. I don't know why I messed with my phone, but I did. I attempted to revert to stock and relock bootloader, but I don't know what I did. Right now, bootloader is unlocked, and I have twrp installed, but I am stuck on the white HTC screen that normally displays when you boot the phone, but it doesn't go any further. Can someone please tell me how to flash through ADB and which file I should use to either get fully stock again or get the IC ROM working again...
To restore a stock rom via twrp, read my post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2865955
Thanks for getting back to me so quick. I looked at that thread and downloaded the file last night. It seems I might have wiped everything now because I cannot get phone to start at all. I just reflashed TWRP and got that working. How do I get the recovery into the TWRP backup folder if phone wont start? Can I do it through ADB?
U cant turn the phone on?
Nope, stuck on white HTC screen. Can get into recovery and bootloader though.
Maybe I am not using correct terminology..when I start phone, just stuck on white background with green HTC. If I hold volume down and power to turn on, it takes me to page with hboot, recovery, factory reset etc. I can get into TWRP through the recovery option this way.
U can push a file to sd card via adb then reboot to twrp and restore a stock rom. I dont know commands
Okay, do you know which file I can push? I tried your file and I keep getting an error that system cant be mounted...
put the zara_cl442 folder in the platform-tools folder then reboot to twrp and type adb devices. the output should show ur phone's serial # then type adb push zara_cl442 /sdcard/twrp/backups/phoneserial# then restore a stock rom
This is not working.. I am getting so frustrated, wish I had never messed with the stupid thing to begin with. I know before when I wiped my phone by accident, I was able to put a file on the SD card, rename it to OPE4IMG.zip and then booted the phone holding the vol down and power and the phone just reset itself. Can I do that again? If so, do you know which file I use and where to find?
What error msg do u get? 0pe4img.zip is for stock hboot. U have no os so u need to flash a rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/des...x-roms-mods-recoveries-backups-tools-t2804427 does ur pc have a sd card reader or do u have a usb reader?

Forget abt using adb push. Try to use adb sideload here r the instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2559200 put the ic rom zip in the platform-tools folder
I kept getting error that said unable to mount system. I am going to download and try the last instructions you gave me now and yes, I do have a card reader on my computer. Thanks so much for helping me through this, going nuts without my phone.
OK, I was able to install the IC Rom, using the method you suggested, but when it restarts, just stays on the white screen that shows when you normally start the phone.
On the first link you listed, there is no Rom for Zara CL. Should I use the system backup or firmware? My phone was originally JB, but upgraded to KK a few months ago.
Ok, made some progress I think. I copied the CL442.zip into backups on SD card, did restore through TWRP, and it said it was successful, but got message saying there is no system partition.
U need to unzip it and drag the zara_cl442 folder to sd card
OK, tried that and this is the message I got-"E:Size (16MB) of backup '/external_sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/HT3BGSD00424/2013-12-31--19-29-02/boot.emmc.win' is larger than target device '/dev/block/mmcblk0p31' (1MB)"
Move it to internal storage
How can I do that in TWRP? When I click on File Manager under Advanced, it takes me to an empty folder.. Maybe I am just retarded and missing something..my head is swimming trying to fix this damn thing.
forget that last msg, reinstalled IC rom, now its letting me copy file
I got the same message after copying to internal storage, about the file being larger than target
