Bloody hell. Download one of the recovery ZIPs (CWM 3.1.0.0 recommended) on the post I have linked and flash it from thunderg (AmonRA). All of them are flashable from AmonRA or CWM. Just do NOT flash the stock one! And do NOT flash it from ROM Manager unless you want fastboot.

okay will do
From what I'm reading, trying to flash CWM recovery via ROM manager doesn't work right, and I can't find a working link to codeworkx's kernel. Anyone have any idea how I can get to CWM recovery?

Go to recovery and first flash kernel (E3 Version).
Reboot
Then again go to recovery and flash modules.
Am a beginer in this awesome flashing world,so trying to understand the basics...
Recently I rooted my phone (I9100) and installed Philz touch based CWM but after flashing a custom ROM the CWM was changed to
non touch ,so my question is does a ROM installs its own CWM along with its kernel overwriting
the exisiting CWM on my phone?
Is there any way to keep the Philz touch based CWM after flashing the ROM
Hello and welcome.
Yes, it may be that each rom installs its own kernel along with CWM.
And yes, you can download the philz touch version from XDA and flash it using Recovery. Just search for it in the forum.

ok thanks a lot for your reply....
Yes each rom has its only recovery be it cwm or twrp and don't flash philz on a custom rom. Philz is for stock based roms only.
Hello guys..
I have one problem..
My smartphone has a custom rom (ultimate hd 5.0) and cwm recovery dont work..
Do you have any idea for work?
My phone is neo v(MT11i),root,4.1.b.0.587,stock kernel,4.0.4 and xparts do only reboot without recovery
Try flashing vengeance kernel
I guess you flashed stock kernel after installing ulitmate hd 5.0, try flashing vengeance kernel to get into cwm recovery...
Good luck...:good:

No bro,i rooted, later flash kernel and after i build ultimate hd..
Do you know how to unistall custom rom without lose root and kernel?
restore is the only option I know
If you 1. have taken a backup and 2. have the kernel image<boot.img> you want on your device, then you can 1. flash a kernel with cwm<vengeance kernel for mt11i>, 2. restore the backup and 3. flash the required kernel<boot.img>.
