Gmail Login Failed - HTC EVO 3D

I use the HTC mail app to get imap Gmail and Yahoo. Since yesterday I am getting a Login Failure on my Gmail account. Yahoo is still working. I tried re-entering my login and password, but it fails. Is anyone else experiencing this? Anyone have an idea for a fix? Relevant rom/kernel info in sig. Thanks.

try changing your password i have had something similar happen to me and that is how i fixed my problem aslo try and wipe the data in the app and then try you email accounts again

I've had this happen before and changed the password as you suggested and it worked, however, I'd rather not have to change everytime this happens. Also, I cannot clear data or cache even after force stopping the app.

yeah i dont blame you for not wanting to change your password all the time.what does it do when you try to wipe the data?

Might try going into application settings/gmail and clearing the data...worth a shot.

not resolved, wiping everthing, install new rom, reset password...

You could also verify that the settings are correct, go to mail app and setting and account settings and just go through and verify all is well, I myself have had on occasion login issues and going through the settings seemed to cure the issue

when ever I attempt to sign in entered username & password.. It goes on signing in..... No error massage appear. Try on WIFI and Mobile data but no result so far

Are you using HTC mail apk or the gmail apk? and I assume your data connection is ok.

HTC mail apk is working well. Facing problem with gmail apk, play store and talk. Data connection is OK

Are all the permissions correct? Did you flash a Rom and this started? or have you been using your current rom for awhile? Do you use titanium backup?

All permissions are correct. I flashed cooldroid 7.0 after this, that problem is started. Then I went back to CM9 but still nothing happened, reflash Fallout, ICE DS
but nothing. Use titanium backup to restore but it stuck on sync. Infact make a new gmail address but didnt signin. Now when I open Play store from my PC it stuck
on connecting to server.

Problems with login!?

I have changed my password on my Gmail due to some attemts to break into my email acc. And now I have problems with login on my phone! It says over and over again that its not the rihgt password!
What should I do!?
problem is in your google account, try to fix this via desktop first.
The problem I have is with gmail and FB on my phone! I just can't log in it always says that the password is wrong I can normally log in with no problems on my computer into Gmail and FB acc!

Go to applications in settings, manage applications, click on the 'all' tab, go to accounts and setting, and clear data. It should work.
I have formated the system on my phone! And have installed new fresh version of ROM (carbon) but there I'm stuck because it says "Your username and password do not match. Please try again"
Then again I have formated the system and installed 2.3.6 ROM ... still the same problems :/ I just can't log in
And then again I can log in on my computer with no problems!!!
SHOULD I FORMAT MY SD CARD ALSO??
And to be the thing even more weird I have changed my password over the mobile phone, and have made exactly the same password as I already have on my computer... now I can log in from my phone and not from my computer !?!?
I really dont get it!?!?!
I have cleared the browsers cache history everything...

Just get a new email and be done with it.. seems like the only available option... :/

[Q] cyanogenmod 7

i need some help in here,
when i trying to install the cyanogenmod 7 on my droid 2, when its gets done with installing i always getting an error from a market, which is stating something like, CHECK YOUR NETWORK CONNECTION,always getting that error, i dont know how do i fix that problem which is occurring every time when i installing the cm7. i got cm 7 gingerbreat,

First I would recommend making sure you have a network connection either through Wifi or cellular data. If that doesn't solve the problem going into application manager and then find the Market and clear the applications cache and data. Another possible fix would be running the fix permissions utility in recovery.
well i do got connection from a wifi or cellular data,but the problem persist when i try to use a market,when i'm downloading programs over market,than the message pops out saying to check the network connection, can you explain to me how do i clear the applications data from market, and how do i run the FIX PERMISSIONS..my phone is rooted.

To clear the cache and data for the Market open settings then navigate to application manager then select the all tab find the Market then select it you should then see the option to clear data and cache. For fix permissions you can boot into recovery go under the advanced section then select the the fix permissions option.

one more question..do you know how do i back up all data including system apps that came with the phone.when i install the cyanogenmod i noticed that i miss system apps like contact backup,and other apps.so is there any way that i can back those apps.

For backing up all your apps including system apps I would recommend taking a look at Titanium Backup. Your contacts can automatically be backed up through your Google account and can then easily be restored by signing into your Google account when setting up your ROM.

You definitely do not want to restore your system apps unless you know with certainty what you're doing. Many from stock will not function properly on Cyanogen and will cause looping Force Closes and may cause issues to the point that you have to do a Data Reset.
You should back up your contacts through another app or as an xml file and restore that way.

The Universal Inbox is a part of Motorola Blur and would not be compatible with CM 7 without heavy porting. You would have to use a Motorola Blur based ROM for the Universal Inbox apk.

yesterday i realize something strange going on with my droid 2..i was not being able to connect to my wifi. i went to a settings of the phone, i wrote down my mac address of the droid, than i enter to my router login page, and what i saw is everytime when i reboot my phone, that my phone is getting new mac address, even if i got cm7 installed in the phone.does that happening to all of you, or its just happening to me, than i went to a recovery and fix the permission, so its still mac address changed,so everytime when i want to connect to wifi i would need to enter my mac address,,what do i need to do to keep just one mac address of the phone like my other deivces..

I would recommend taking a look at this fix for the MAC address issue your having it's for the Droid Pro but should work for your Droid 2 as well.

Restored Email app with backup, now won't connect and crashes

Before I installed this new ROM (Liquid Smooth 1.9), I made a system backup using Titanium.
When the new ROM was up and running, I tried the Email client. It asked for my details, so I used Titanium to restore only the Email app user app and system data, in hope it would bring it all back
I am still presented with a login screen after the "restore" but after entering the email address (a Hotmail account) and password, it just checks incoming settings forever.
If I try to add the account manually (Corporate), the app stops responding after I've entered all the manual details and tap Next.
I have forced the app to close and re-opened it, and I have restarted the phone. Same issues.
Any ideas?

Unfortunately I dont have an answer for you. I have the same problem but worse. I restored the 'system' email client. And now after booting the phone freezes completely after about 20 seconds. Who would have thought the email client would be so integral to the system...
Never, ever, restore any system app or system data unless on the exact same version e.g EMG4, even then I wouldn't bother. Restoring from another version will almost certainly break the framework.
Only solution is to wipe and reflash your whole Rom.

It was the same version for my model just blacked out.
Couldnt even restore from Titanium the original app. Email as a sys app?... My Google voice is also sys. Wth?
Anyway I wiped and installed a third party email app. Its the stock rom so I couldnt reflash it.
Either way its ok b/c I like this email app better.

Cannot sign into hotmail :(

Hi guys i am having real trouble accessing my hotmail account, everytime i try and sign in i keep getting this error "We’re having a problem with signing in. Make sure that you have good reception. If you do, the problem may be at the other end. Wait a little while and try again."
I have tried doing the time and date fix but i still get the error
did you try login to web account live.com with PC? if all OK only splution is reset to factory default (dont forget to backup important data)...

If I said "Later" it ask me "Do you want to add an existing account or create a new one?" (even when I said "later") So I choose "Existing" and I have to log in with my account and it seems it works but then ask me again for the account, but now when I sign in (again) it say "There is already a [email protected] account on this Android device".
No matter what I do, it still appearing the same message. If I try to create a new account I put my name and last name and when I click continue message appears "Unfortunately, Google Account Manager has stopped". I hard reset the phone again but when I get this point the same error occurs. The problem is that I can't do literally nothing with my phone, NOTHING. I can't go to settings, I can't open any app, I can't open notification bar, nothing.
I've already reset the phone again. I create a new Google account on my PC and try to log in but it's the same. Please, don't tell me "Go to Settings..." or something because I can't.

That sucks... I would try the hard reset via the built in recovery, which seems like it is only accessible via adb commands, oddly enough. If that doesn't work, then re-flashing the stock firmware might be next.
Finally
Finally I solved my problem =D
I suspected it was a software problem so I installed LG PC Suite and I downloaded the update for my phone (via USB), even when it was asking me for a Google Account.
After the update was completed, the phone restarted and it asked me for a Google Account again, so I put my info for the umpteenth time and finally it worked!!! Now the setting up process is completed and I'm able to access to the Play Store, Settings and other things.
I'll leave this information here in case anyone have the same problem in the future.
