I have changed my password on my Gmail due to some attemts to break into my email acc. And now I have problems with login on my phone! It says over and over again that its not the rihgt password!
What should I do!?
problem is in your google account, try to fix this via desktop first.
The problem I have is with gmail and FB on my phone! I just can't log in it always says that the password is wrong I can normally log in with no problems on my computer into Gmail and FB acc!

Go to applications in settings, manage applications, click on the 'all' tab, go to accounts and setting, and clear data. It should work.
I have formated the system on my phone! And have installed new fresh version of ROM (carbon) but there I'm stuck because it says "Your username and password do not match. Please try again"
Then again I have formated the system and installed 2.3.6 ROM ... still the same problems :/ I just can't log in
And then again I can log in on my computer with no problems!!!
SHOULD I FORMAT MY SD CARD ALSO??
And to be the thing even more weird I have changed my password over the mobile phone, and have made exactly the same password as I already have on my computer... now I can log in from my phone and not from my computer !?!?
I really dont get it!?!?!
I have cleared the browsers cache history everything...

Just get a new email and be done with it.. seems like the only available option... :/

I just bought the phone in India a couple of days back. I wanted to update the phone s/w, from currently v10c, to v 10d. But every time I try and after accepting all the terms and conditions, midway through the process I get a message that the phone don't support S/W update. I have installed all the necessary driver. The programs recognises my phone. It even tells me that there is S/W update available for my phone. What could be the problem? Am I missing any setting on the phone that is restricting it from updating? Help me out please.
ok
1.first go to settings->applications->development-> now check usb debugging..
2. connect phone to computer
3. 2 notifications will pop up
4. turn on usb mass storage
5. do the usual steps necessary that u did before
Thank You so much it worked. The usb debugging option needed to be checked. But the mass storage option needed to remain unchecked. Its now updated to android 2.2.2. And contrary to what others have said about slowing down the system, I think it made my phone faster and snappier after the initial booting process. I highly recommend updating the phone to this version. And thanks for ur reply zeemar007.
There is one more thing I wanted to know. I have synced my contacts with google. and I have changed the settings in the display option to show contacts only in my gmail account. But still for certain contacts it shows the phone pc sync copy of the contacts as well while for some it don't. Cause of this the details of these contacts show the birthday twice with the same date. When I go to edit of these contacts it shows both gmail and phone pc sync. How do I correct it to show only Phone Pc sync. Even though all the contacts have a copy in the gmail account and in the phone this happens to only few contacts. What could be the issue? Is this some bug?

well ur second problem seems to me as if u have some problem which GENERALLY OCCURS BECOZ U HAVE SOME CONTACTS SAVED IN PHONE MEMORY WHILE SOME ARE SAVED IN SIM CARD.. is dat so??? lemme know..

I do have a backup in my sim but I have unchecked all option from display settings in sim and phone keeping only the gmail contacts option checked. Also all the contacts are backed up in my sim. But this problem only shows up in a few of the contacts.

go to user cp> options > default thread subscription mode> select no email notification.
this way, whatever thread you post in, the same thread will be listed in the main page of your user cp. so this way you will know if somebody has posted a reply to your post.

u can do this (NOT RECOMMENDED!!!)
1. DELETE ALL UR CONTACTS FROM PHNE MEMORY i.e clear the contacts
2. now synchronyse ur phone via pc
3. this way u will get what u want 2 c in contacts
if u use wifi, 3g or data connections then deactivate gmail synchronysation.. from contacts or else ur gmail contacts will showup in ur contacts list..
ONLY DO ThIS IF UR really desperate

I use the HTC mail app to get imap Gmail and Yahoo. Since yesterday I am getting a Login Failure on my Gmail account. Yahoo is still working. I tried re-entering my login and password, but it fails. Is anyone else experiencing this? Anyone have an idea for a fix? Relevant rom/kernel info in sig. Thanks.
try changing your password i have had something similar happen to me and that is how i fixed my problem aslo try and wipe the data in the app and then try you email accounts again
I've had this happen before and changed the password as you suggested and it worked, however, I'd rather not have to change everytime this happens. Also, I cannot clear data or cache even after force stopping the app.

yeah i dont blame you for not wanting to change your password all the time.what does it do when you try to wipe the data?
Might try going into application settings/gmail and clearing the data...worth a shot.
not resolved, wiping everthing, install new rom, reset password...
You could also verify that the settings are correct, go to mail app and setting and account settings and just go through and verify all is well, I myself have had on occasion login issues and going through the settings seemed to cure the issue

Are you using HTC mail apk or the gmail apk? and I assume your data connection is ok.

HTC mail apk is working well. Facing problem with gmail apk, play store and talk. Data connection is OK
Are all the permissions correct? Did you flash a Rom and this started? or have you been using your current rom for awhile? Do you use titanium backup?

All permissions are correct. I flashed cooldroid 7.0 after this, that problem is started. Then I went back to CM9 but still nothing happened, reflash Fallout, ICE DS
but nothing. Use titanium backup to restore but it stuck on sync. Infact make a new gmail address but didnt signin. Now when I open Play store from my PC it stuck
on connecting to server.

I used a pattern lock and a friend tried to often to unlock with the wrong one so I get a message now telling me I should login with gmail address and pw to unlock.
Problem now is I know the password but I don't know my gmail address (only needed it for play store on that phone).
So I flashed the kernel with cwm 6.x.x to that I9100g phone and I can get in that cwm and plugin the usb cable to my pc. I
can now use adb on my pc. So is there a way/a command in adb to find out which gmail address I used?

If you have a custom rom, boot into recovery and format system. Then reflash your rom and anything else your ROM needs flashed to work. You will have to set up a new Google account losing your contacts emails and paid apps... but if you ever remember your old google account, you can log in as both and get everything back. (Your free apps and data are saved.) If you used titanium backup, you can restore your old accounts. (Or any other backup app that saves your account)

The files now in my data folder(s) are the only chance to find the used gmail adress so wiping everything isn't an option
I searched around via adb (while I was in cwm6 and mounted /data) and found the file /data/system/accounts.db and in there I found my gmail adress :good:

Sorry that I respond to an old post, but I have a problem. My grandma forgot her google account password and I've tried for hours to guess it and I remembered about the adb stuff. I am very noob at adb stuff and I need help. Can I somehow find her google account password using some adb commands? She has a phone with android 5.1 if that info is of any help. I activated the usb debugging but the phone is not rooted. I really need to find her password so I can get her the covid certificate(green pass or whatever it's called). Also she didn't put her phone number or a recovery email so that's a no go, I've tried that. Can someone help me, please?

When the new ROM was up and running, I tried the Email client. It asked for my details, so I used Titanium to restore only the Email app user app and system data, in hope it would bring it all back
I am still presented with a login screen after the "restore" but after entering the email address (a Hotmail account) and password, it just checks incoming settings forever.
If I try to add the account manually (Corporate), the app stops responding after I've entered all the manual details and tap Next.
I have forced the app to close and re-opened it, and I have restarted the phone. Same issues.
Any ideas?

Unfortunately I dont have an answer for you. I have the same problem but worse. I restored the 'system' email client. And now after booting the phone freezes completely after about 20 seconds. Who would have thought the email client would be so integral to the system...
Never, ever, restore any system app or system data unless on the exact same version e.g EMG4, even then I wouldn't bother. Restoring from another version will almost certainly break the framework.
Only solution is to wipe and reflash your whole Rom.

It was the same version for my model just blacked out.
Couldnt even restore from Titanium the original app. Email as a sys app?... My Google voice is also sys. Wth?
Anyway I wiped and installed a third party email app. Its the stock rom so I couldnt reflash it.
Either way its ok b/c I like this email app better.

Well I have a big problem with my phone,Xperia P. I Cant acces to my google account on it.In each problem that google has developed there's no access for me(gmail,google play,....it asks for google account on each one of them and there is no access for me on google account).When i get to settings to add my google account from the accounts part, i will have these problems:after choosing the exicting ,it asks me to enter a gmail id and after i enter my information,it says that your connection is not ok and you must change it.I have changed my wifi connection a lot,even with 4-5 different isp,and that's like this with the data too.
And when I choose the new button,it asks me to enter a name and after that an id.at the next,it says that your id is not exists and you must chang it.i have entered many different ids but i have this problem with all of them.
I dont prefer to factory reset,so if there is some another way please tell me.
my stock rom(4.1.2)is already rooted and my kernel is 3.0.8 and my phone is xperia p.

Hi,
try to put your phone in airplane mode, clear data and cashe of GooglePlay and use a VPN or any proxy.

I have done that a lot and there was no change.But nowy problem has been solved.I should delete the contents in the hosts file in the etc folder to reset Google accounts service.
