Hey folks.... Been a long time visitor here, but never joined until now Great works by all modders and devs
But back on topic, so is there any way to change the Shortcut Panels on the S2??
I have no need for the "Sound Vibration" and "Auto Rotation" icons and would much rather change them to something that i would use, like Packet data on/off and something else.
Just wondered if this is possible??
I had a look and couldn't find anything, but I apologise if this is a double post.... :S
Anybody?? Is this possible??
another bump.....???
where do you mean mate?
Can you screen shot what you are trying to change?
He means dropdown notification menu.
Wifi, bluetooth, GPS, vibration, auto rotation.

thats exactly what I mean.....
The auto Rotate and Vibration ones are completely redundant for me, I i never have the need to change them.
Just seems silly not to have these customisable....

is that a serious question?
I use it to change brightness and enable/disable bluetooth when getting into my car.
oops double post.
You do know all of that is available in the drop down tray. Including brightness. Just slide your finger across the tray left and right

not if it's on auto
plus, why not use it.
Maybe the OP doesn't feel like sliding down the notification bar.
To turn on BT I can
1) Hit the button on the power widget on my home screen
or
2) slide down notificiation, hit the BT icon, which opens up the BT settings, click enable BT... then hit back to return to my homescreen.
^ apologies, it just doesn't seem "simple clean" to me.....
"simple clean" is referring to the wallpaper... not the widgets/apps setup
eww, toooo many "samsung" on this phone already. =P
I kind of like it.
+1 to frankencat.
I love the samsung aspect to this phone.

Well, first of all, thanks for the answer, but it still happens and pressing the home button 4 times doesn't change anything, though. Your answer is still appreciated much, though!
Second; I forgot the stats, maybe this will help...
I'm running stock ROM, rooted, busyboxed, running SiyahS3 (1.2.5) and have done nothing to the system partition (Which is odd lol) except deleting the bloatware... I'm still getting used to the device, seeming as I had the Nexus for 5 1/2 months (Untill it then broke) so, taking my knowledge from that, and from the S II, I still don't know what it is...
Turn off negative colours.
If using siyah kernel then press home button 4 times.
1 screenshot would have done.

Over the past week or two, the orientation of my navigation has changed from "third person view" to an overhead shot of the maps that don't rotate as I am driving. I am just a little arrow that moves around the map.
I've tried looking in the settings for some sort of option to go back to the third person view, but I sure can't figure out how to do it. Anyone able to offer a trip on this?

.
I understand the "Bad" view is just the settings screen where you can select alternate routes, etc, but that's how it appears as I am driving in the main nav screen.

How can I change it ?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Tap the widget. On the top right hit the + symbol and add whatever you want.
You can also hit menu / setting and enable scrolling. Every 10 seconds or so it will change / scroll between the different areas you have saved

I wish doing that would also change the one on the lock screen...
Always tells me I'm in a different area....

What are you looking for exactly? The slider prevents "butt answering". A button to answer would make it easy for a call to be accidentally answered in your pocket.

I think he wants something similar to the DNA.. you drag the phone into a circle
We found the option for home button answering the phone. He's worried about butt answering with that so not sure it'll work out to well.

Not sure if it will do what you want but check out widgetlocker lockscreen. I haven't used it in a while but it had a lot of options for the lockscreen.
search for this on the play store. it was made by an XDA member
