Anyone want to make a little cash? Just need a simple app that can be used for Android and Iphone. I have what I want in mind just need it built and put out. It is fairly simple. Just need it to link up to my webpage.
You could try using this: http://www.appinventorbeta.com/about/ . Maybe it could help.

What computer OS do you have? I can't find the program after it installs. I'm on Windows 7 x64 bit

I would say yes, although my Android skills are extremely limited as-is. Although running a program idea by me wouldn't hurt either (would it?)

The program is in Java, so it's universal. The web component should run on any browser. If anything was "loaded" it should be in your downloads folder, else download it again and watch carefully where it goes.
I have the image I want for the app and the website it will go to. All I am looking for it to do right now is to touch the app and it takes you right to the site I want it to go to.

Hi
I have programming experience in java, but i never did anything with cellphones and specially android.
I wanted to make a widget which will read very simple data from a small webpage, and to have it being updated once in a while on my home screen.
So,
1. Is it hard to do? If not, where can i find some tools and guides to do that?
2. maybe there is an app which does that for me?
thank you!

This is a great resource for Android development...
http://www.anddev.org/
I do know that there is an app that does exactly what you're talking about, but it wasn't very good when it first came out. I'll have a look and see if I can find it, but I can't remember the name. It was in the Android Apps & Games forum.
There's also an Android Software Development forum on xda, so that's always worth a look as well.
Good luck mate

thanx
does android even support right-clicks?
long-pressing..k.. but anything else?
Wouldnt understand why someone would need that option... if you're missing something via your browser, try an app/mobile website?
should be workaround enough?

oh, well.. as there is no official WebOS-app for DropBox out by now there seems to be no choice but to consider changing to either another service, or OS.. guess right-clicking is not supported.. at least that's what I've read in a 2009er thread here https://developer.palm.com/distribution/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=448

I'm wondering if it is possible to install and run an Adobe AIR application on the android platform. I noticed there is a native Adobe AIR application, however android cannot seem to install an app from a .AIR file. Would the file perhaps need to be converted to a .apk? if sow, how is this possible? and would anyone be willing to do it?
Here is a link to the .AIR file which I'm wanting to run on android, just in case anyone feels like taking on the challenge.
www . infinitythegame . com / dt_army / army3 . rar
Cheers
The Adobe Air application is on there, because people make apps that run off adobe air. I am pretty sure it is possible to convert them to .Apk, but I don't really know how.
Hope this helps! It would be much appreciated if you clicked the thank button,

Search for swf to apk converter, and you will find something. Use winrar to extract the air file, where you'll find the swf file. There enough online converters to find, but I don't know if the work all. Success!

Yeah I had a crack at that. For whatever reason, the swf file alone doesn't seem to run properly.
I love to use interop tools' App Installer than the Built in one. But it would be appreciated if someone would use that interop tools' feature and make an App installer which would open .appx .appxbundle files.
Expecting positive reply ?
Yes, I'm already working on it. It's possible but no-one has been doing it. I'm really starting to wonder if there are that many developers in the Windows 10 forums. The site is called "xda-developers" but I'm seeing a lot more consumers than developers over here.

Wow... Is it like the App Installer in PC?
Device portal or a simple click does the same.

You can't see any progress or status on your phone though. Can get really frustrating when installing from an appx/appxbundle file sometimes.
Really?

That's by using the device portal. Install the appx/appxbundle manually on the phone. The app either appears on your app list or it doesn't.
So whats the point to install an app to help install another if already we have device portal?

So you don't have to use device portal.

What's your point? You know on android, you don't need computers to install apk's outside the store right? That's basically what we're trying to achieve other here. Remove the need for device portal so we can install apps faster.
Have you ever hear of WMAppPRHeader.xml ?
and, where from to install apps, if there is no one?

Lol, you didn't tell me you could also use device portal locally on phones by entering the address: "127.0.0.1". Oh well At least the app supports Dark theme!
With today's release, you won't ever have to touch Windows Device Portal to sideload apps ever again: https://forum.xda-developers.com/wi...mes/appx-appxbundle-installer-phones-t3669665

I can barely stomach giving access to all my personal info to Meta. But at least it's encrypted, audited and somewhat bound by law.
Giving the same access to some random dev would be something I personally wouldn't do. His intentions may be good, but the reverse could be true as well.
Would you be comfortable using a "modded" banking app (say TM HDFC or TM ICICI)? Treat this app the same way and go with whatever your answer to that question is.
My Frank opinion: Avoid using the app.
You are absolutely right and it was stupid of me asking about it here. There was some chat about the app online that piqued my interest hence the question. A YouTuber even talked about such a modded app online....Anyways... thanks for the opinion

naaah...i dropped the idea...it's risky enough for Meta to have my personal data...I can't even imagine what would happen if I start using a modded snooping app!

The app may not necessarily have viruses in them but their code may be so borked that the app in itself will be malicious.
