YOU CAN NOT BRICK ANY PRE-2011 SE PHONE WITH ANDROID ON IT BY FLASHING!!
The worst one can do is switching phone off while flashing, that causes the partitions to be filled with trash data.
Learn this and quit spamming the DEVELOPEMENT forum!

It is my understanding that radio will boot first, followed by other systems. So it is IMPORTANT that your radio image/version will work with your SPL(bootloader) image/version. This is the one and only reason for phones being bricked. You can not brick your phone by flashing a ROM or Boot image or recovery image. Once you flash the wrong radio for the SPL(bootloader), the only known method of recovery is to send the phone back into SE for repair. Now with boot loader unlocked this is quite possible!!
How do I know the phone is bricked? A bricked phone can not boot into boot loader, recovery, or into normal operation modes. You can not connect to a bricked phone via adb or fastboot. You can only see one screen on the phone and it will be the first splash screen.

Even my device is bricked because of this ROM
did u managed to resolve issue with your device,
i also flashed my device with this rom and now its over... my device is no more booting up, it not even gives any light or signal.. nothing

i am also finding the solution for this. but now i m sure i have only last way to restore this with JTAG method, so i m collecting information about this JTAG method, if i able to restore my GENE with this i will definitely create a full guide for new bee who are struggling with this problem...

Why do people go around flashing ROM's blindly?? :angry:
It is clearly mentioned everywhere i read not to flash original ROM's without removing the radio parts..
Please don't flash a rom who contains IPL, SPL or GSM. It will brick your device. Sometimes in a irreparable way.
People should pay more attention to everything mentioned here..

It is the process of recovering the memory addresses of ur ARM where u can directly connected to the respected hardware & re-program that h/w with ur given addresses.....but its so risky.....finaly ur addresse comes to 00....

Download a t-mobile rom stock rom first - be very carefully dont use other rom
Just go into bootloader - torn one phone while pressing volume down until you se tricolor screen... connect with pc and wait until drivers are installed and then flash the rom

You need to make sure you download a rom based on your version of HD2. Do you have the European version, or Tmo versoion?
Hey I have just excelently bricked my Device,I was installing some MiUi over TripnMiUi and the system won't boot up ,it just stays at the Sony Ericsson screen and it won't go after that screen. When I tried SEUS Repair it said there isn't any firmware for my device,if I try to flash with FlashTool it is at the screen anyway. I Don't know what to do ,please help.

after that when i installed codeman 9 rom via CWM Recovery , it showed that u hav succesfully installed super fasr new rom.
but when i restarted my phone its showing just sony ericsson logo .

i have rooted my phone
unlocked bootloader
done with the flashing of kernal (boot.img) for night elf rom
now i m not able to install rom
whn I install the rom Via CWM mode again my phn struck at starting point
what i hav done is , i hav copy the rom on my sdcard and restart the phone in CWN mode and install the rom by locating it but phn gets struck at logo point at the start

And don't mix GB and ICS kernel/rom. And do a wipe in CWM before installing rom.
