Any app out there that let's you share whiteboards realtime and incorporate the pen technology?
Sent from my HTC Flyer P512 using Tapatalk
Good question. Any takers?
There are currently no apps I've seen with Scibe capability.. Every app developer would need to ass in the scribe tech feature into their apps.
The scribe pen has great potential we just needs devs to unlock them
Some might work with the Honeycomb leak version, but I have not tried them.
Groupboard
BoardTabla
Whiteboard Pro
I sold it. Why? Because there is no official upgrade or whatsoever since I got it on May, and most of all, the scribe pen is useless and have very little function to it on evernote. I paid freaking $80 for the pen! $80! And all it can do is take down notes! I could have bought any other tablet for that kind of use. But what I really bought it for was for sketching and hoped that it would function with Fresco app... but HTC won't do a damn thing about their $80 pen. So long Flyer!
so, we care because?
and which one did you buy?

If you have any bad feedback about the flyer post it on HTC facebook page o twitter, i love the scribe pen and his integration with evernote but seriously as someone said here "if you are going to buy something, buy it for what it is and not for what it will be".
All you have written in the first post says to me that the flyer wasn't for you (and it is one of the best tablets that i have used) and the fault was your bad choice of shopping a product that will fits yours needs and not the tablet itself.
Amen to 13lizzard. This is all generically a "PC" world because of the "personal" part of computing. For me, the Flyer is the best set of price, feature, size, and quality out there, and obviously it is not for SC23 - great, I get it - but above all, BUY YOUR TOYS FOR WHAT THEY CAN DO, NOT WHAT THEY MIGHT BECOME. That's kind of like marrying a gal not for who she is but how you think you are going to change her...
I don't know how you couldn't make use of pen, but I now use Flyer instead of carrying a lot of notebooks with me while working with customers at field. You can make a full report with photo, notes, and even sound record. Even with HC update, pen is much more useful. Maybe you should go for iPad2

All of you are right. The Flyer isn't for me.
So long!

I got rid of mine too. F it. Why keep a 500 dollar device with no support. Second people can post whatever they want, the difference is you guys kept the Flyer then complain. He got rid of his problem and moved on. I went and got the Samsung 7.0 Plus, and couldn't be happier.

Well I paid 300.00 Enjoy your Samsung, their support is no better than HTC's. Go talk to the original Galaxy tab 7 owners who are still sitting on Froyo, a device they still sell for $300.00. Threads like this serve absolutely no purpose. Be sure to shut the door on your way out.

I'm good couldn't be happier. They have already rooted the tab and removing bloatware. I'm happy to pay 100 more with a camera flash, dual core 1.2 processor, plus lighter and thinner. Oh an IR Blaster too.
Oh and some people paid 500 actually got jipped.

Good luck. I've been burned by Samsung too many times, my wounds are still fresh.

Its basically a crap shoot with any of these manufactures. Except Asus Acer since they dont produce many phones. They all pretty much suck for updates. However the xoom has been doing well. I chose this because the flyer was too much drama, no root, no way to go back from HC, and no support.

Well, you can root and now there's a way to get back to Honeycomb. Good luck nevertheless.

I got rid of all my electronics and went back to something that is fully supported by multiple vendors.... pencil and paper. Does the job and no waiting for updates. I am a little miffed that sharpener 3.4 isn't on the market yet though !!

That one brought the morning belly laugh I needed today! In fact, my No.2 lead input device even comes with ability to erase text when you use the top of the device...

I can't decide whether you are being sarcastic or honest.
I switched to pencil and paper for a bit. The UI is bare, but its as natural of an interface as you can get. An added bonus is the low cost of hardware upgrades.
i have even found the customer support rubbish for when pencil hardware failed multi times and needed to be rebooted with sharpener. i think it has boot looped and now run out of battery
Meh. The reason I won't touch any android manufacturer other then HTC is:
1) HTC Sense
2) Build Quality
I have always known that HTC uses inferior CPU/GPU; However, the build quality + software MORE then makes up for it.
I work for HTC and have been using the Flyer with Honeycomb test ROMs for a couple months. I absolutely love it. Flyer + Honeycomb is brilliant.
Flyer fans, keep the faith! You will be rewarded soon.

Im from europe so i can only order from ebay. Sice it is quite expencive, do u recommend the tablet?

100 thread views and no reply. sad.
Yes. I recommend it against other tablets I have used- iPad, Galaxy tab 10.1, HP something.
The community on xda for this device is little though.
Honestly, as much as I like this tablet, I cannot recommend it though. I get a crappy wifi signal on it and crashes and I have just a better experience on my galaxy tab.
U mean it crashes to the white screwn with HTC logo? It seems every damn htc is affected... I guess i shall wait for mwc, maby there we shall find an update..

I love mine... great for taking notes, opening word, excel, and PowerPoint files... amazing for drawing with sketchbook pro and Photoshop.
I'm extremely happy with mine. Have experienced none of the issues mentioned elsewhere in this thread. Love note-taking with the Quill app I downloaded from the market, and it's great having access to 4G LTE.
Is the stylus responsive? I mean can i write without it lagging behind?

Sure. I'm using mine as a notebook for university.
Yeah I recommend this tablet. Run well, and does everything that I need it to do.
I have a chance to pick up an htc flyer for 165.00 and am wondering how it will compare to my lenovo ideapad K1 how does the flyer compare to the K1
does anyone have both that could give some input ?

Just watched cnet review, looks like lenovo is a.n.other 10 inch android, main differences to flyer that standout :
- size, I like the 7 inch format of the flyer but what do you need ?
- the pen, flyer is one of only a couple of tablets with a pen digitiser
- sense ui, htc just make a cool looking user interface
- flyer will charge from usb, it prefers the htc 9volt cable but will charge slowly on regular usb
If 7 inch is good for you then go for flyer, its quality, make sure to get the htc oem case too.
I already have the 10" Lenovo ideapad....picked it up for a steal at office depot and had a guy offer me a 16 gig WiFi flyer for 165.00 so I figured it was to good a deal to pass up.......sofar stock honeycomb on the flyer blows away stock honeycomb on the k1......can't wait for a fully functional ICS for both of them

Misread your post slightly ! Since you have both tablets what are you using each for ?
The Lenovo doubles as my media center via the hdmi port and wireless kb and mouse and sofar the flyer is basically the same as my HTC sensation and I use it for work as a notation device
For doing quick sketches on pics
But sofar the flyer seems berry reliable

Someone in the HTC One X forum had posted an .apk for the new Bamboo Paper app that he was designed for Samsung but he got working on the HOX (AT&T). I tried installing it on the Flyer but get parsing error when attempting to install it. Does this mean that it isn't compatible to the Flyer?

More likely not comparable with the version of android you are running
Flyer
interested as well!

Yeah. It's for 4.0. I'm not for flashing one of those ROMs because it renders my MHL adapter useless. That's a deal-breaker for me. Oh well.
