To unlock bootloader u don't need sdk i unlocked mine on a pc all i did was run rsd lite. Once dat was done i put phone in fastboot mode, open cmd cd to the moto-fastboot folder(mine on the desktop) connect phone to pc and run commands worked flawlessly

Thanks already know that commands wouldn't accept on phone. But I figured it out had to reboot and try fastboot again

I unlocked my bootloader with the htc website and i tried to use the other tutorial on this website but i get stuck at the part with the ADB it says there is no command ADB in the command prompt
take note that adb has moved to platform-tools.
got me a couple times
So do I insert the files in platform then run command prompt
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
You need to open the terminal from the specified directory
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
Simplest way without having to be a cmd pro is to make a shortcut to the platform-tools folder on your desktop... then holding shift while right clicking on it will shoe you an option to open command prompt front that folder
If its not shift its Ctrl... I forget lol

Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
you dont NEED to push the files to the phone. as long as theyre in the folder with fastboot, you can use cmd 'fastboot flash recovery thenameofyourrecovery.img'.

What is your recovery??
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using xda premium
Since your bootloader is unlocked all you need to do for rooting is install a Recovery (best done via fastboot) and then just flash in a Superuser package such as this: http://androidsu.com/superuser/
It's how I've rooted an HTC Amaze and a Rezound
if u haven't already get hansoons all in one tool kit for the amaze, to be sure your bootloader is unlocked when you boot into it at the top in red it will say "unlocked". Then follow the instructions above being flash recovery, then flash the zip after booting into the recovery you flash. I prefer 4ext.
I know but when i try and put a recovery while its in fastboot nothing happens at all..the CMD comes up and nothing happens..I attached photo
its as if the laptop doesnt notice the phone is connected
Sounds like you haven't installed the drivers to your laptop. follow hasoon2000's instructions 1-5 in the first window then you can use his tool to root your Amaze.
I do have the drivers installed.i just double checked too

When I type "adb devices" in cmd nothing shows up, isn't that a problem? Meaning it's not reading my phone?

Adb and fast boot are two different things since your on windows you need to drag the fast boot.exe into the cmd and type devices you will see your device then do the same and flash 4ext

Did u rename the amaze tool kit folder. If so, please make sure that the folder name does not have any space between the words.. i.e, instead of 'Amaze Toolkit' use 'Amaze_Toolkit'. The space in the folder name would break the execution of the script.
My first phone ever the htc one and i was bored today so i decided to root my p hone.. I was messing around with TWRP and i deleted the os on the phone and now it wont load! whenever i turn on my phone it just loads and gets stuck at HTC One logo... Damn that sucks. Good luck getting that fixed. Once you get it fixed (hopefully) I would be more careful with hacking your smartphone. I plan on keeping my device stock for a long time. Don't want to worry about messing something up.

You can open the command prompt from within the folder you unzipped when performing the unlock by pressing shift and right clicking
Power off your phone. Power your phone on by holding power and volume down.
Highlight 'Fastboot' the volume buttons then press power to "select".
Plug your phone into your PC and open a Command Prompt. (windows XP - Click Start > Run > type CMD in box then press OK; Windows 7 - Click Start > type CMD in search box then press Enter) Change directory to your folder where we put fastboot files by typing cd c:\fastboot for example.*
*Alternatively, you can just hold down shift and right click in the folder and select "open command window here".
Type this into your command prompt window: fastboot oem lock
at least that's how I think it works
good luck!
modified the directions pulled from here but changed to lock

Code:

if not you need to check your Enviroment PATH and make sure you have added it to the PATH so you can call it from any directory.
If you have a USB thumb drive available try a live bootable version of Linux to do the moonshine from
