Hello, I recently flashed Eclipse .5 to my DX2 and I dont really like the Gallery it has, so if someone can provide me with the Blur Gallery and the instructions of how to install it, I would be thankful.
I read on the eclipse thread that you can het the apk from the first version of eclipse. I was able to get the original camera apk but the gallery is not working for me. Just do a search on the eclipse thread about camera or gallery and it will come up.

For some reason, when I installed alien rom on my phone, the included droid3 camera doesn't work. I would appreciate it if someone would post the stock gingerbread camera so that I can have a working camera. Much thnx
Scroll down to the Add-On section. navalynt posted the default Atrix Camera app.
I've already found the default 4.5.87 camera. If u don't mind, could u point me in the right direction for the 4.591 camera. Im viewing this on my phone and as u know the app leaves a little to be desired.

I keep hearing others talk about the MIUI camera, and I'm very familiar with it because I ran MIUI on my Incredible. I can't get it to run on the X2.
I downloaded the latest MIUI ROM for the X, extracted the MIUI-camera.apk and gallery.apk, pushed them to system/app using root explorer, reset permissions, rebooted. Camera just FC when I try to open. Any suggestions? Does this have something to do with the qHD display?
It is installed on my v0.6 build of Eclipse which will be out today for sure.

.6 has some blur in it hes also doing an straight asop rom
The minuit camera we are using successfully is "Camera 17" from MIUI. As far as I know, it's not just any random MIUI camera but a specific one that has been tested to work. I use it and have even used it in the Atrix ROM successfully.

By the way, the camera apk is found in Nitro's blurless ROM which is on rootzwiki. You can just pull the apk from the zip.

I have looked through the forums here and didn't quite find what I was looking for. I recently started using liberty x2 and love it. However, I am a fan of the AOSP camera that nitro had in many of his Eclipse ROMs. I would like to push that camera into liberty. Is this possible? Do I have to change permissions? Does the gallery still work from within the camera app?
I have never tried this before and wasn't sure where to even begin. I'm sorry if this question has been answered. I know it is noobish but I just am not sure what I am doing. Thanks for the help in advance.

Pull the camera apk from an Eclipse build (/system/app) and push it to liberty (same location that you pulled it). Set permissions to:
xx-
x--
x--
x=a check mark
Remove the blur camera apk and reboot.
Liberty has aosp gallery so it will work from w/in the aosp cam. Eclipse RC 3 has the aosp cam. MIUI was used a lot in Eclipse builds...He recently went back to aosp installed, i believe.
Any questions just PM me.
Edit: i use Root Explorer to push apps.

Assuming nobody on stock/blur wants to help you out (I'm on CM7), acknowledge that you just need to download any blur ROM with those, and grab them out of the zip from /system/app. I would download one and do the work for you, but my internet is so slow I can't even Skype my girlfriend. here you go, i took it out from the original 4.5.91 zip file... but i guess you have to have blur for these apps to work (not install over CM7 camera and gallery).

No you can't cm7 doesn't have blur or utilize it. It's standalone so you would have to do it on a non aosp rom.

My recommendation would be to download QuickPic from the Market. It's free, and IMHO it blows away both CM7's and Blur's galleries.
I am running the ics leak and really like the look of stock messaging and stock contacts. would somebody please be able to provide me with an apk for them that works on the ics leak? thanks in advance
