[Q] Flashing Droid X2 to Cricket issues - Motorola Droid X2

So I almost have this done, but I've got a problem. I can get 3G, but not phone or text. When I call, I'm sent to the American Roaming Network, and when I once got an error about International Data Roaming, I saw Verizon Mobile in the paragraph right before I hit the No button. I've tried out a ton of PRLs, but none get me the phone. I KNOW it's not a typo somewhere. My MIN is correct everywhere. Everyone uses my Google Voice number, and I'm using GooVe IP so I can (usually) get calls, but it's not even close to being the same. Here's what I've done so far...
changed my ESN/MEID on my Cricket account
CDMA Workshop v2.7.0
..successfully sent 000000 SPC
..wrote NVRAM file I got from whiterabbit.org
..wrote PRL 45722 (My Ascend was 45626, but I can't get my hands on that particular PRL, so I've tried several others)
..reset
QPST 2.7 Build 366
..CDMA tab
....changed Directory # and IMSI_S to mynumber
..Roam tab
....changed NAM 1 Directory # to mynumber
....set Preferred Roaming to 45722 PRL
..M.IP tab
....set Active User to 0
....set Mobile IP Behavior to Mob + Simp f/back
....edit User Profile
......set NAI and Tethered NAI to mynumberatmycricketdotcom
......HA and AAA Shared Secrets, checked Enter text string, entered cricket for both
......checked Rev Tunnel Preferred
......entered all zeros in the Home, Primary HA, Secondary HA addresses
..PPP Config tab
....Um
......entered User ID: mynumberatmycricketdotcom, checked Req PW enc, entered cricket
......checked Optimized Domant Handoff and 1xEVDO->1x
....AN
......entered User ID: mynumberatmycricketdotcom, checked Req PW enc, entered cricket
..wrote to phone
created APN shortcut with anycut, went in and entered this...
Name - Cricket
APN - internet
Proxy - wapdotmycricketdotcom:8080
Port 8080
Username - mynumberatmycricketdotcom
Password - cricket
Server - wapdotmycricketdotcom
MMSC - httpcolon//mmsdotmycricketdotcom/servlets/mms
MMS Port - 8080
MCC - 310
MNC - 004
Authentication type - PAP or CHAP
APN type - <Not set>
Any ideas?
(I'm too newb to post outside links, so I had to italicize stuff.)
edit: If it's a PRL issue, I'm Leesburg, VA

First idea is to not be cheap and get the network the phone is ment for.

Thanks for the advice, but I'll wait for someone who knows proper English.

So I guess my main problem was I was using my phone number for my MIN and my MDN, though on my old phone these were different numbers. Also, this is a dual band phone, and Cricket in my area is triband. I'm probably going to have to find another route altogether.

[Q] Unlocked Galaxy Note (i717) on ST T-Mobile Text (SMS) not working to Verizon

I've done some searching and didn't happen to run across anyone that was having a similar problem. Originally, I thought this might be a StraightTalk/Verizon issue, but I've confirmed that one of my family members with ST T-Mobile can text with Verizon folks just fine. So let me dive into the details...
I've had my StraightTalk T-Mobile sim card for about a week now. I activated it without any problems, set up the APN and everything seemed to be working just fine. I've been texting with a few family members and some co-workers without issues. My data and voice calls are all working fine as well.
I went to text a friend that has Verizon post paid service and he never got my text. So I sent a few more without success, then tried to text my own Verizon number (since my account is still active for the moment) and I never received my own text either. He sent me a text message that I received just fine though, but again he didn't get my response. Just to further test, I send an MMS message to myself and my friend on Verizon and that came through just fine, so it appears that all texting capabilities work with the following carriers (AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, ST T-Mobile) with the exception of regular SMS to Verizon.
Here are my APN settings:
Name: StraightTalk T-Mobile
APN: wap.tracfone
Proxy: Not set
Port: 8080
Username: Not set
Password: Not set
Server: Not set
MMSC: http:**mms.tracfone.com (replace ** with //, since I can't post links)
MMS Proxy: Not set
MMS Port: Not set

Authentication Type: Not set
APN Type: default,supl,mms
APN Protocol: IPv4

About the phone... I purchased an AT&T Note (sgh-i717) and unlocked it myself. The unlock was successful but I was only getting edge data since T-Mobile has re-farmed the towers in my area yet. So, I installed CWM and flashed the Blaze4G radios. I'm now getting consistent signal and H+ speed (4-8 mbps avg, 14 mbps peak). The only other thing I had to change was that my phone number wasn't showing up in the About Phone -> Status section, so I went into the dialer -> Settings -> Additional Settings -> My Phone Number and set it there in the format of xxx-xxx-xxxx. I also just flashed the T-Mobile VKL1 radio as well but no change in my sms issue.
I'm a bit lost at this point on why everything else would work except for sending sms to Verizon but yet I can receive them from Verizon just fine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Texts aren't immediate when the network is busy. Sometimes the delay can be several hours.
None of my Verizon messages are ever delivered, some from 3-4 days ago. I called Straight Talk tech support and they are tracing some of my messages. One of the things they thing might be wrong is the message center number that is configured in my phone but they didn't want to change it until after they could do further research.
Update: Confirmed the smsc is correct, so that doesn't appear to be the issue.
Just a follow up in case anyone else ever had an issue similar... a T-Mobile technician called me today, they found out Verizon had blocked my cell phone number from their network. After the tech got the ban lifted, texting is working just fine.
apn type question

You'll want to flash the T-Mobile ROM in the development section. Follow the instructions carefully.

T-Mobile HTC One Stock APN Settings

Hi, I have a Stock T-Mobile HTC One with no Root using the stock APN below
APN: fast.t-mobile.com
APN Type: default,supl,admin,hipri
And my speeds on HSPS+ are super slow no more then 3.0MB
But when I'm using this APN settings bellow
APN: epc.t-mobile.com
APN Type: default,supl,admin,mms,hipri
I get 10.0MB UP to 20.MB but wont send any MMS. Has anyone run into similar issues on the HTC One? Is there a fix for MMS.
Thanks

I hope I am not intruding here, but this thread is the closest to what I am looking for (stock) and I figured that any one of you could probably answer this question.
I do not have direct access to the phone and need to pass this on to my son, so please dont skip any steps, assuming knowledge. I have never even held an HTC phone yet. My son absolutely loves it though and has me intrigued. ?
Anyway, he has an "HTC One" that he purchased here in the USA, at a T-Mobile store.
I know that with my Samsung, there is not only the Samsung line name (Note 2), but there is also a specific Model # that Sprint puts into the phone (in my case, SPH-L900). And then, even from there, it divides up further into US & International versions, each with its own model #, even within the same carrier.
I am thinking that maybe it is the same for the HTC One line?
My son looked in the Info" screen, but all it says is "HTC One" and nothing else.
Please, where should he go to find this information?
Or is this not relevant in the HTC world?
He wants to stay with the Factory ROM, but Root it. I know applying the wrong tools can quickly brick a phone.
Can someone help me with this please? Once I have the right tool, then I can take it from there. Thanks!

Tried the epc APN out of curiousity..it was 4G only. I guess if you live in a HSPA or LTE are, the "fast" APN is what you want. I now have a different APN to try though when traveling. This is in the Hampton Roads, VA area

The only other two things I can think of that might work are go into the APN settings and click 'reset to default' reboot and see if it works. And try registering on another carrier in the network operators menu - you should get an error that your SIM isn't supported and then manual re-register on T-Mo.

[Q] Can someone make sense of recommended APN settings?

I'm on Net10 and have been in activation hell for most of this month. I'll spare you the gory details of their wonderful customer service and get to the point--
I have a SGS3-I9300 unlocked and operating in north America. My phone is not LTE capable. When I first activated the phone using their phone number I was instructed to use the APN settings I've seen posted here before:
Name: Net10
APN: tfdata
MMSC: http://mms-tf.net
MMS Proxy: mms3.tracfone.com
MMS Port: 80
APN Type: default, supl, mms
These settings are also the ones I'm prompted to enter when using the Net10 APN config app.
I then wanted to port my old number and they sent me a new SIM card programmed with that number. After installing the new SIM I noticed very limited network availability & no internet via phone. Eventually they talked me through registering the new SIM and gave me new APN settings:
Name: Net10
APN: att.mvno
Proxy: proxy.mvno.tracfone.com
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: 66.209.11.33
MMS Port: 80
(APN Type not described)
My phone is again receiving 3G and connecting to the web at speeds similar to what I had with the previous SIM/APN settings but that cingular reference really threw me for a loop. What do these settings mean?
Cingular is the old name (or original company before merger, something like that) of AT&T, whose networks Net10 is using. I'm using Straight Talk, my APN settings are very similar to this.

So was the CSR giving me settings off an old script, or is this what's required for my international phone to work properly in north America?

I would say neither completely, the APN settings vary based on the carrier. Net10 uses multiple carriers' networks, so it's no surprise that a different SIM needed different settings.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
To put a finer point on it--why does "cingular" appear in any APN setting when the company hasn't existed for years? If you try to find cingular.com it redirects to att. Why use a defunct company name/address in current APN settings?
I'm usually able to figure out the logic to tech issues but a search for "net10 APN settings for at&t" yields a bewildering array of conflicting advice from "experts" on websites, blogs, forums, and netzines. Even the NET10 Data Settings app in the Google Play Store gave me different settings each of the 2 times I tried it (neither worked and I still couldn't send or receive picture messages). On the Net10 forum there are lots of posts seeking help and all of them get handled by PM with nothing posted publicly. One of their reps in my PM explained that each phone requires different APN settings depending on its capabilities, network accessed and geographic area. If that's true--why bother listing settings YOU found to work if they won't work for anyone else?

In answer to the first question, because that would involve creating issues with phones that worked on the network before the name change. (Obviously all very old phones, but some people DO still use them)
And as far as people posting their settings, most don't know that the settings can differ between phones.

The Cingular provisioning first has to redirect to the AT&T servers. I can see no reason to continue using obsolete references.

Like I said, it's compatibility. The text you see is just a representation of an IP address, so there is no redirection.

T mobile USA - Connecting Problem

I have tmobile when inserted the simcard in my z2 I've noticed that I'm not getting any internet connection so i went to Setting/wireless and networks/internet setting and downloaded all the files then I went to mobile netword and changed it to 4G Tmobile, starting that day I keep losing connection every time I have to go to mobile network and change it manually although it's set on automatic, most of teh times 4g doesn't work and I have to set it to 3g... it's really annoying
In your dial pad type in *#*#info#*#* (numbers for info)
Go to phone info
Scroll down
Select prefered network mode
Select LTE or an option for local with
Go back to your network settings and see if 4G shows up
If not change your mode back to what it was before and call tmobile because they may have to sort some issues out for you

go to your network settings, when tmobile USA shows up with 4G click it to register, once thats done, go back a menu and click on network mode and change it to LTE/HSPDA/GSM (or what ever bands are used in USA)
you should have data connection but 4G depends on how good Tmobile USA Coverage is
You may need to call TMo and ask them to do whatever they do in the backend to reset the phone to network connection. Another thing is to look at TMo support site for the correct APN settings. In my case, data was perfect but MMS would not work because the phone settings were incorrect. Basically, call TMo. They will even email you the settings.
One last thing. Try airplane mode off then on and see it that helps.

One thing I would do, is to call T-Mobile and register the IMEI so they can provision the unit. The settings on their end may have something which is preventing it to connect to it based on a previous phone's capabilities.
-----------------
I had something similar similar but it was with AT&T. In my case, it would not connect to LTE at all as it would stick on HPSA. This was because I had a S3 (UK version), which was only capable of HSPA+, and I had registered the IMEI with them prior.
I had a lot of problems getting my Z2 to work on T-Mobile as well. I finally used the following settings to get everything to work.
Create 2 APNs, the first should have the Following Settings:
Name: T-Mobile
APN: fast.t-mobile.com
Proxy: 216.155.165.050
Port: 8080
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/
MMS proxy: 216.155.165.50
MMS port: 8080
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
APN Type: defaul,supl,admin,dun,mms
APN Protocol: IPv4
APN Roaming Protocol: IPv4
Now create a second APN with the following settings:
Name: T-Mobile GPRS
APN: epc.tmobile.com
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
APN Protocol: IPv4
APN Roaming Protocol: IPv4
With both of those created, go to your list of APNs and make sure your first one (T-Mobile) is selected.
These settings fixed my problems, hope you get it worked out.

It is likely, make sure the internet/mms settings are downloaded too.
Once the IMEI is registered, they will able to see what phone it is and enable the proper features which the phone is capable of.
I heard it's best to let them know as the IMEI as well because they could flag the unauthorized phones and reject it from being connected the carrier.

Lg g3 not picking up tmobile signals tried everything.

Hello
I bought a verizon lg g3 from amazon since i heard that verizon phones comes factory unlocked for verizon.
I tried everything from changing the network setting to gms , global but it doesnt connect to tmobile signal. But after a network search it does detect tmobile , att verizon singnals.
I have not activated the phone using a verizon simcard.

Well I'm all honesty, I think you should have just bought the tmobile version because that is the one that comes unlocked. As for your signal problem, have you tried asking tmobile on how to do it? Or maybe you can look up YouTube videos on how to do so

I heard that verizon g3 does work on tmobile and it works for everyone. AM not sure if i missed out on some steps.
It works. If it doesn't work the only thing I would say is to check if the imei is clean and not reported blacklisted.
If that's good, then toggle the gsm setting from utms/gsm/lte to global and see of that helps

I have an version lg g3 on tmobile from Verizon. You are missing the apn settings you need to manually enter possibly?
swap down from the top of the screen and hold the data circle icon - this will bring you to mobile networks. Select Access point names.
add a new apn.
Name: T-mobile LTE
apn: Fast.T-mobile.com (don't forget the -)
proxy: not set
port: not set
username: not set
passowrd: Not set
server: not set
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
mms proxy: not set
mms port: not set
mcc: 310
MNC: 260
Authentication type: not set
APN Type: default,supl,mms
Apn Protocol: ipv6
Apn roaming protocol: ipv4
Save.
Also in system select, I use LTE/GSM/UMTS mode.
Global mode works, but i cant send text messages through native app. So i use lte/gsm/umts mode so i can send texts.
I also downloaded the T-mobile visual voice app for visual voicemail
