I'm running Dronix..And the LaunherPro is built in app,and i can't remove it from phone by Settings > Apps > Manage Apps...
And i can't find his folders in root to delete them..
So is there any way to remove LauncherPro?Cause i'm using another home launcher..Please
you have to delete it from /system/apps. if you don't find launcher pro you should search for com.fede.launcher

I don't think that method works because I tried uninstalling Rom Manager and it wouldn't let me. I think titanium backup can remove the apps, go try it out. I don't want to deal with that stuff so I just hide it in launcher pro settings..
use system application remover works best for me.
Some apps cant be removed, they are required for phone to run. You may remove the others with "manage applications" under settings.

Car Home is required for my phone to run?
Titanium Backup will surely do the work ,any application can be deleted ,but dont delete any system application that is needed by the system.
Use root uninstaller. Just be careful..

Hello people
I have just installed google maps and street view (these are system apps you know and cant be un-installed normally). So i used "Root Uninstaller Pro" to remove them. It did remove them, but now i had four strange apps in my app drawer. When i click them, it says not responding. I am also unable to remove them from "Root Uninstaller" since they are not listed there.
So can anyone please tell me how do i remove these apps?
The app names are-->
com.google.android.maps.Latitude
com.google.android.maps.Place
com.google.android.maps.Drive
com.google.android.maps.maps
Thanks for helper
You mean you have these four icons in your app drawer?

Do you have root?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Yes. They appear in app drawer.
Yes. My phone is rooted ofcourse, that was why i was able to use Root Uninstaller.
One thing, when i restarted my phone, those apps are removed from app drawer. Does that mean they are removed from system too?
Yes. I believe so.

If you have root you can check in system/app with a file manager I use root explorer. But if they're gone it's been uninstalled.

I have nearly the same problem, i disabled them but on every restart the y come back.
Simply use TitaniumBackup to freeze or uninstall the apps.
Thanks for help buddies. They are finally gone
Since I got the new OTA my phone has been picking Swype as my default keyboard. Is there a solution to this besides disabling it?

Yeah, should just be able to go into settings and change your default keyboard
Well if u dont care for using swype, just uninstall it. Use a file browser and delete the apk

Isn't it installed as a system app on the stock ROM? That would require root to remove
I thought it came with it.
Maybe not though. I never used it.
Hi Friends,
I am using Samsung galaxy S plus (Android 2.3.4) rooted, looking some way to uninstall preloaded applications.

am sorry if the same question has already been asked, I am new to this community and after searching did not find anything satisfactory.

Use Titanium Backup. Then just convert the unneeded 'system apps' to 'user apps' and uninstall them..
I would recommend you to use 'freeze' option before deleting the app, in case you deleted system critical app you would have still a chance to revert. Freeze the app then use your phone normally, if everything goes normal then you can safely delete.
hey guys thanks for the reply i found a free app which moves system app to user app.
app name is "/system/app mover"
which work for almost every application

would be ideal to decide for their own applications to be installed during the first ignition.

Uninstall stuff you don't need, like messaging, Google search, apps you don't need. Now assuming you are s-off or unlocked boot loader you can uninstall directly using link2sd or root uninstall.
P.s. I use handcent for my messaging app, so don't use stock app.

Here's a list of apps safe to delete with Titanium Backup in case you don't have S-Off, like me:

Long-press the app in TB, choose force uninstall. Wait patiently.
