Hey all,
Well i know i m a newbie here, but i did all my searching and tried everything, but nothing will work. I flashed WM6 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=367019) and all was working fine. I was simply adjusting a few things on the phone when it required me to restart. I restarted the phone and now it will go to the slash screen, and the windows circle thing will start spinning to load, then it basically dies, the screen just fades to white.
I have since then tried two methods of getting it fix, but since my computer wont recognize the phone ( i have vista and media center), I cant run RUU, i get code 266.
Is there anyone that has a solution to this? I can get my phone into bootloader mode.
Please help me!
-Matt
By the way, the phone is CID-Locked....is their a way to CID-unlock it while in Bootloader mode? it is a G4
I got it fixed!
Now if it can just get deleted....
Hi.
My htc x7500 is stuck at the bootloader but i can't see the numbers and letters showing information about the device. I see the colour stripes only. What can i do?
Thanks
a few more details...
when i start the device all i get is a black screen and a green light. (see picture 1)
when i get into the bootloader (camera + reset) i get the color stripes but i don't see the bootloader info and my computer doesn't recognize my device.
I also tried to run an update through a mini sd but nothing happened. it stayed at the color stripes without showing any bootloader information.
Any help or idea would be appreciated...
Thanks!
if the PC doesn't recognize the usb (explicitly states the unrecognized usb device error), then I'm afraid it's ****ed :/ JTAG may help but need a brick to work out how to JTAG it =)
PS: I can't remember now if bootloader checks DOC before checking hard reset button combo (most likely the DOC flash is what is messed up currently). you may try doing the hard reset combo, though this probably won't fix it (upset DOC needs more than that to be fixed).
Hi..
Hard reset is not working it leads to the same blank bootloader screen. I'm trying to find the jtag pins now... but yes i need a brick to (possibly) fix mine...or turn mine to a brick (which is the most probable scenario)..
Hi people, this has been discussed many times, but no solution works for me, so this is my last try before trashing my phone.
I did a big mistake and tried flashing the whole ROM of my P500, including modem area (not the KDZ only, but the whole ROM). Now I have a dead phone: no recovery mode, no lights, no nothing. With battery or not, with USB plugged in or not, pressing vol+power+home or any other key combination does nothing. So, the phone is completely dead.
Already tried using a JTAG, but there's no response. It seems IMPL is active in my phone, so the JTAG connection is blocked (Qualcomm security protection).
Anything else I can try? Any suggestion? Is there a way to revive JTAG communication so that I can rebuild the firmware? Any way to clear the security area on flash memory, to neutralize JTAG blocking on Qualcomm chipset?
Many thanks.

can u tell us what rom were u flashing and what do u mean by including modem area, also what mistake did u make??? u can refer to threads started for recovering phone in developement section and also in general saection.
Thanks for the reply. I had the openOptimus ROM in my phone, it was all fine. But then I tried to flash a stock Gingerbread official release, using LG MDP tool, and my mistake was to flash the stock ROM, instead of flashing the KDZ update. In other words: it flashed the complete phone.
The file I got included the whole ROM image, including the lower level Qualcomm radio code (this is what I call modem area). Later I learned that we can't flash this area, because Qualcomm chipsets have a protection which makes it block JTAG communication if this area is violated. That's why even JTAG is not enough to unbrick my phone.
So, theorically, my last chance is to somehow reset the chipset and/or flash memory where this protection is stored. As soon as I do that, the JTAG should be back online, and then I'll be able to restore everything back.
So you know what you gotta do.

Anyone have any idea on how to at least somewhat revive this thing? Tried flashing a retail ROM to this but it went a bit sour so I attempted to bring it back to stock by flashing back the stock demo ROM dump I made prior using SP Flash Tool's Write Memory feature. And it now refuses to budge at all (i.e. no screen activity, apart from the red battery indicator) as I couldn't get it to cooperate with SPFT - tried pressing volume up or down to force USB serial mode, but that didn't work either; it's just stuck at Preloader mode. I previously bricked a LeapFrog Epic before (which used the same MT8127 chip as this device), and reviving it fell through no thanks to the fact that I didn't have a backup of its security keys, but for the SE I was able to do the necessary precautions prior to flashing, it's that Write Memory killed it somehow, and I am at a loss as to how to bring this back to life. Am I SOL or is this still recoverable?
EDIT: NVM, turns out that converting ROM_0 into a scattered format and editing the scatter file for SPFT to load all images, and flashing it using SPFT v5.1532 did the trick for me. Glad I was able to make a backup this time around unlike what happened with the LeapFrog.
Anyone, pretty please??

hi ! i have the same problem as you and i was wondering if i could fix stuff on my end ?
thank you in advance !
[I flashed the Nabi SE stock ROM and ended up with a black screen, unresponsive but was able to go into download mode with battery indicator.
The stock ROM flash was successful, but still didn’t turn on.]

By battery indicator you mean the red LED light?
And did you perform a full ROM_0 backup first?

yup ! and i didn't make my own backup for this. i used your shared backup in one of your threads !
it worked for me in the past due to poorly unlocking the bootloader.
(bump) so my Nabi SE can enter download mode. but SP Flash Tool refuses to flash with the error code : 2004 DA_DOWNLOAD_FAIL.
on other days, it would actually flash on download mode. result = black screen on Nabi SE with RED battery indicator.
Is there a way I can fix the 2004 error?
(SP Flash Tool v5.1532)
(bump, sorry for spam)
so i have finally managed to flash everything back :’) only thing is that… the Nabi is still unresponsive (red battery indicator only red, black screen)
i heard its “stuck in download mode”.
is there a fix ?
I think it might have been hosed then, as you forgot to back up the NVRAM and all that.
Hello People,
I was flashing the stock rom using mi flash but the flashing timed out after 2000 seconds. I rebooted the phone to fastboot but it failed and the screen went black. [Reason For Flashing: We lost the pattern lock so i flashed the stock rom and, then twrp, just in case to avoid losing the screen lock. But then i thought of keeping it stock and when i reflashed, the timeout occurred and phone went black]
Since then i have tried many different versions of MiFlash and even MiFlash Pro, however they are not successful due to authentication issues. I took it to the service center as a last resort but they are asking for motherboard replacement which i am not comfortable spending for.
I researched as much as i could and tried QPST flashing as well but learnt that a patched firehorse file is required. And that is not available anywhere on the internet.
I am not sure what options i have now or am i doing something wrong.
Could anyone please help me in reviving my phone?
NOTE:
Bootloader - Unlocked
PC Detects It as: QDLoader 9008
Regards
i will help you. pm me asap
SORRY CAN'T HELP YOU ANYMORE. Got no more credits on my Xiaomi Pro Tool account. If you want a cheap fix then it is your only choice. Anyway try any MiFlash below 2020 to flash stock rom. Good luck.
Try mi flash tool 2.0 by Francesco tescari it may help
Thank you for your replies. I had to get it fixed from a nearby shop who claimed to have some access to GSM Forum. I am not sure which tool they used but the job was done.
I wish a patched firehorse file was available. QPST would have helped in that case.
Thanks again.
