I heard there's launchers that mimic the iphail, lets first focus on ASOP, MIUI, Ubuntu, sense, webOS, WP7, WindowsXP/Vista/7, Blackberry, DangerOS, Touchwiz, and then iOS
..in that order.

I'm trying to build merged rom.....

As far as I know ios being ported to an android device, its never been done. I do know that cyan had android running on a first gen iphone.

Idroid has made somethings to switch between os but only for iphone... Gnna try bypass it. But I doubt itll work. Im trying to expand os into all smartphone os make one futuristic rom... Lol im dreaming...

WHY THE F#CK Would you want to put iOS On a Android device??? Serious what the hell is wrong with you??

If this guy puts ios on android unicorns do exist lol

Wait......weren't you the one who couldn't root or unlock the bootloader? I seem to recall attempting to help you with that. And now you wanna port an entire OS over? When having trouble unlocking a bootloader? LOLOL. I'm not super up on this, but come on Dude. What a troll.

WebOS before wp7 and ios? Blackberry before ios? I mean granted this whole thread is less than a joke but really? Wtf would you do with blackberry stuff on your phone? At least ios has a ton of games. WebOS has multitasking! Yeah for it's three apps. ..
Aosp and call it a day.

I've unlocked phones before, thank you. My phone wouldn't accept the commands at first. And thank you for your help. But anything is possible. What do you think our forefathers would say about our present day, that it would be impossible an you'd probally be hung for possible witch craft... The problem is really the hardware. Android is meant to run on different types of hardware so getting it to run on an iphone wasn't too far a stretch. iOS is only meant to run on apple hardware. Getting iOS to run on an android device would probably require major changes in the source.

iOS is closed source so if you are planning on doing this I would keep it hush hush so you don't get in any trouble

PlayStation phone running gingerbread

I defanitly know this is the right place to put this but I didn't know where else to put this where it would actually see the day of light lol. But here it is the new PlayStation phone running on gingerbread =D full story here http://www.androidcentral.com/sonys-playstation-phone-gets-caught-blurrycam-gingerbread
Sent from my FroShedYo.V6 using XDA App
Be advised, this is just a opinion. I know that everyone has one but at least mine has examples. I'm not saying that it is or it is not the phone in the video
Hmm almost looks too good to be true. If I remember correctly SE had armed guards at the E3 when they reveled the PS3 to the world too see and try out. In fact SE just had the guts of the unit out but I'm getting off point. After the Iphone 4 being "found on the floor at a bar" incident I think SE would not let their product be "leaked" anywhere and nowhere soon. for all we know it could be the XPeria X10.
Also after some searching for cases that would look like the model in the video (although blurry you can see rounded edges on top and some silver buttons on the bottom) I came across this phone The Sony Ericson Vivas the link about it (with picture) can be found here: http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_ericsson_vivaz-3022.php
Due to the quality of the video, we can not exactly tell what OS the person is using. Possibly rooted to use a android OS. I'm not a dev and do not know how to program but look haw far people have gone. Anything is possible
One more thought, after the recent jailbreaking methods of the PS3 Sony has spent a lot of time with firmware updates and world wide court dates to halt the sale and distribution of usb devices that jailbreak the PS3 so SE may actually take longer to release to make it "un-jailbreakable" If a android OS is gonna be released on the phone then, well, theres an app for that. Great now I'm gonna get sued by Uncle Steve for copyright on the app comment.
I absolutely agree with you. You can't really trust what you read but I thought it was pretty kick ass that it somebody would even be able to put gingerbread on a Sony phone. There was also some sort of leak that suposably a new version of the galaxy was found at a flea market in Greece. Sounds like BS to me but if it is true I defanitly want to move there they're getting all the good **** first lmao

and i dont wanna here "OF TO YOUR iPHONE" And such stuff.
i love my Galaxy S2Rooted, but i really love this IntelliscreenX to..
i would love to see this for android, the problem is i dont know how to do such stuff. but, is there any in any way, that anyone could make this for android?, WITH a lookalike Notification Bar?
i would love it!
peace out..
I don't get it, you have the exact same functionality already with the use of widgets/multiple homescreens and the standard notification bar. You can already cram pretty much anything you want in there - what's the point?
I use executive assistant+ , it's pretty close.

So if you don't get it we understand, no one would ever want it, right?
I've tried all posstible lockscreen substitutes there is on my Note3, but no one is even close to the intelliscreenx for the iphone.
I've tried nils, c locker and you name it but sadly they are just useless. I want to configure and actually use that large lockscreen exactly the way I want. This is close to impossible. The intelliscren guys made it right the first time. Can't believe this is not available for android.

Anybody else hear about Ubuntu for Android?

This is probably old news but I just recently saw this on the Ubuntu website. Looks pretty freaking sweet! Still in development tho.

There's actually a phone made by Fujitsu that's similar in that it can be booted into the full desktop windows 7 32 bit by the switch of a button. The downside I see to it is that when you are running it the phones radio is turned off so you can't receive calls or texts also the phone UI is some proprietary Fujitsu software. Needless to say it looks pretty lame compared to Android but nevertheless it's still pretty awesome looking. Here's a few links if you guy's wanna check it out.

Would like to point out while Ubuntu are working on it, there are already a range of projects to get it running on your device (see my sig) my project is on of the more active projects, really the only big thing missing that they have working is native graphics (right now my project uses a vnc server within ubuntu to view gui within android).
Mine works on a whole host of devices (not just dual core like ubuntu project) and you can also install debian or backtrack if you wish.
We are in the process of adding more options to the app and making it far more user friendly (Although it is already pretty fool proof)
I love ubuntu on my pc. I would love it on my phone.

If you can virtualize another distribution within it, you basically have Linux within Linux within Linux.

Windows 8 os?

Is it possible to run the actual Windows phone 8 OS on my note?
I've been thinking of trading this for a Windows phone since I've been running this for a while now.. but I remember hearing android users running the actual os on their device, which would be even better if that means being able to go back to android. Is this possible or am I dreaming?

windows phone gets very boring very quick.
I owned one before, after about a week you'd regret it.
My last phone was a focus and I liked it very much. Can get boring, I agree... but that's why I'm interested to do it in here so I can go back to Jb when/if I want to.
I saw the one tutorial for basically losing the phone with apps to fully recreate win 8, but I'm sure I'll just be left with a buggy base android

The processor in the note isn't compatible with windows OS. Supposedly Microsoft will publish a version that will work with this processor.
Run launcher 8 that's the closest you will get. Quite nice. Using it now.

That is a whole nother ballgame, ubuntu touch is a pain. Lol
I've given up on working on it for now, as i really need my phone to be working 110% all the time, so im back to stock....with a handful of modifications ofc.
Using th3bills cm10.1 i was trying to just port it over without having to.build like they say in the porting guide, and no luck outside of a loop. User error really. Its best left to the trusted devs, etc round here.
Our phones can handle it great, and then some, BUT, as with anything over the stock gb, without drivers things dont work as they should. Ubuntu touch is really frikkin awesome to look st, but even if someone ports it, it is only a preview an 90% of the features wont work or are just placeholders. Id let it sit a while, not worth a damn atm. But it does give you a taste of the ui. Which, is tough getting used to as it is very gesture oriented as apposed to click here scroll here that we do on android.
-Cheers- Signed,

If I can find some free time in my super-busy college schedule, I'd like to try my hand at porting it for us. Not just because it would be awesome to have it, but because I'd like to eventually do some app development for it (and it looks like a badass OS for a phone).
Can I put Ubuntu on my Photon even with 2.3.5?

Unfortunately not. Ubuntu requires it to be unlocked. (ubuntu ATM is highly reliant on cm10 still, so if you can't run cm10,which 2.3.5 can't)
Your stuck between a rock and a hard place

What is the point? We need a decent kernel that can actually support our phone. Atrix 4G succeeded, and all development has halted here. This phone seems pretty much done. Very disappointing.
