From my experience, MIUI
The answer will vary from person to person, so the best way to find out is to try them both yourself. That way, you'll find the best one for you, rather than get a list of people disagreeing with each other.
I tried both.
CM7 is the winner here

Hey galaxy s2 community! Just a quick question for you guys and gals. I'm ready to flash a ROM on my phone and I think I've narrowed it down to ether aokp or shostock2. I'd like to stick to ics now that the i777 has official ics (more stable and better features) so I think I may wait like a month. I'm looking for something fast (I like showing off my quadrant scores to my HTC fan boy friends) and stable, a good battery life would be great=). Can you help me choose between aokp and shostock2? And don't turn this into a war guys=) we all know they're both amazing ROMs, I just want to know which has better battery life and stability, speed is a nice bonus=) thanks!
I come from a captivate with darkyrom if that tells anyone what kind of ROM I like=)

In! (Again)
(⊙_⊙)
You could dual boot them using the siyah kernel. If you choose to do that download the version WITH mic swap, and try them both without flashing back and forth.
try both and see which works best for you.
As noted... no ROM fits everyone.. try a few, and see which works best for YOU.
Hi.
I am getting a Streak 5 soon, can anybody tell me, which is the "best" Custom Rom for it?
Regarding stability, performance, battery life....
Currently there should be "MinimalStreak" installed. I havent found it here...

Thanks in Advance

no such thing here as best custom rom.. every rom have its own pros and cons.. what you can do is.. try all the custom rom and stick with the one you like..
a minimal streak maybe is a stock deodexed rom... means.. that official rom but stripped down to the base ... and no bloatware installed ... something like that i guess..
here is the list of custom rom just in case...

To give a quick help to this, the most stable ROM's in my opionion are DSC v1.5, LXdroid ROM 0.2, and Longhorn v2.9.x so far.
Try all of them and choose the best that fits your needs
There is also a MIUI ROM over here but i haven't test it so i don't know what to say about it, give it a go anyways

miui have been built with fancy appearance in mind.. that is why the battery is not that good...
The miui battery life is the same like cm7 and dsc with the phoenix kernel that _n0p_ has release.

i think about battery, its depends on what networks are u using (2G/3G), signal strength, maybe clockspeed of your cpu, apps did u installed and how u use the phone. i think all rom here have same battery quality.

I had a ZTE Blade before the S5.
I experienced that Custom Roms based on Stock Roms are performing better (snappyness but not that much cutomizable) than CM7 based CRoms.
Thats why I installed DSC rightaway.
Can you tell me your opinion regarding this experience about the S5?
€dit:
Another question:
Are the Custom Roms faster than the latest Stock Rom? (Regarding the suggested Roms above)
Is the battery consumtion better than in latest Stock?

DSC 1.6 is the best I think, if you like custumization go with CM.
Hopefully we can add some ICS Roms soon for those who need camera capabilites.

Hi there
I've used miui roms /dsc/xloud and cm7 roms but in my experience I think LH roms are are top notch that includes the miui /miui comb and the LH 2.9.3. I've never had any bad experience and if something is not right its always sorted by him. That's just my experience.

Thread closed,
"Best" custom rom is a very personal thing, we prefer not to start threads like this.
Just make clear for yourself what you want, what is important for you, read through the rom-threads and try a few which may suite your needs.
Hi I'm just wondering about which custom ROM I should use.I'm interested in a ROM with no lag, very good battery life and is either ICS or JB.
Thanx
There is no such rom yet for ICS or JB.
If you want good battery and no lag you should absolutelly flash popdog's Oxygen rom.
Or you can try gingersnap by neko.

isnt this similar to asking what rom is better or not... ? you have the needs... try out the different things available and learn to make decision for yourself.. :fingers-crossed:
(#no offense: but these kind of threads are emerging again and again, so dont take me in the bad way..)
There's a sticky topic that helps with questions like yours. I suggest you read it. Its worth the time

As _viren_ said, there is no perfect ROM. You'll have to try the ROMs to find what's suitable for you. There are ROMs based on stock LG firmware, on AOSP, CM 7/9/10, ROMs based on other ROMs. Take your pick. If you like one, stick with it.
Or, as we all like to do, go on a flashing spree just for the heck of it.

Hey don't. create threads like which rom/kernel is best.
Try to flash roms then choose which best suits for you.

I think you have to read the corresponding ROM threads deeply, then be confident to check some ROMs on your phone by yourself.
Every user has different needs. So the best for the one might not be the best for the other.
P.S.: And be careful with your question for the best ROM => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1612881

It's all subjective.. Every single person has a different opinion.
And he's not being "hard", he's pointing out the rules for you, since you obviously didn't read them before you posted

Hey everyone,
Could someone please tell me which the best 4.2 ROM for the x10? I've flashed the AOSP version by tof37 and it's incredibly fast. But there are quite a lot of WLODs and random reboots and scroll freezes. Do the other 4.2 ROMs have the same problem? Which is the best one?
My definition of best is different from yours. So try all and see which suits you best

No, what I meant was which one has the least WLODs? There are far too many in the AOSP one..
