Force close after sbf - Motorola Droid X2

I sbf'd back to 2.2 and ever since my Verizon mobile keeps force closing every time I wake up the phone I see that message. Anyone else have that problem?

I would try to SBF again but do it with the GB sbf, not froyo. I've read that going from a GB kernel rom back to the froyo sbf can give problems.

Thanx. But i think i figured it out i just uninstalled the my verizon app lol seems to be ok now. Is there any way to root the ota 2.3? Or do i have to downgrade to 2.2 and root from there?

I'd say anyone who tries to, and doesn't know what this does, deserves the end result.
I think Nitro already has his hands on it from what I saw on Twitter!
I'm sure he does. I saw it too and it looks great

New cheesecake ICS update found for razr 6.16.206

Has anyone tried this update using the cheesecake app? Is so can you restore back to .181
Sent from my DROID RAZR using xda premium
Damn another? Lol does cheesecake work on 84 build? I used it when I was on 173 to force 75. Either way i might just be stuck until the ota.
I don't think cheesecake works on ICS but I could be wrong

How you find out about this .206 build? Did you hear from another site or did you check with the cheesecake app?

Wow they're really cranking it now.
But no. We will never be able to fastboot back again, so if that's what you're looking for, you won't find it. They are building on top of previous builds, they will not move backwards.
I just checked it tonight. That's how I found it. I was looking around xda to see if anyone had upgraded to that build. But it doesn't seem like anyone has. I was thinking that might be the official OTA since I thought I read it was being pushed out this week

My phone is being sucky. "check for update not available at this time, please try again later"
Wiped data, wiped cache, restored to a known-working data backup for cheesecake.... still got "check for update not available at this time, please try again later"
Could someone just upload it?
I'm not sure how to download it without installing it on my phone?

Dropbox is probably best. Maybe PM the public link so it doesn't get overloaded.

You can't roll back because the boot loader has changed, you will brick if you try to roll back from the ota to 2.3.6

No... you can not. You will brick. New bootloader for ICS guarantees this.
Time to call verizon and get a refurb.

I'm bummed about ICS, too.
I did the update and headphone jack no longer is recognized. I use it everyday in my car. It's not lint in the port.
Anyone have ideas about a fix? I'd rather not root, but I'm on the road enough that I can't go on a trip without Pandora out the headphone jack in the aux port of my car...
Thanks,
Chris
UPDATE: Called Verizon and they immediately sent out a replacement. It was a refurb, but you couldn't tell at all. "Refurbs" are probably products that had the original retail boxes damaged. New phone is on 2.3.6... not sure I'm going to update again.

Soak OTA

Im part of the ota soak test. I woke up with this file ready to install. I pulled it with Matts ota puller app

Root?
Will the root method for the December JB OTA update that got pulled work on this one? Or can root saver be used to update to the soak but keep root?
I use my wifi hotspot as my primary internet so I do not want to loose root, but the update I got in December that got pulled is not very stable.
I'm not sure i haven't updated yet. But from what I've read if you use ota root keeper it should save your root. I will report back when i update

Yes neither of them work with jb. You have to use the sqlite hack and enable the verizon hotspot

How do I install it?
Does anyone know how to install the update after it's downloaded to internal memory?

The next step is to move the file to your SD card. After that, you can follow the instructions in this forum or in the Droid Life article today. Or post again and I'll help.
