vibration doesnot work - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

when i first bought my phone - x10 mini pro - i pressed the power button after awhile i felt the vibration - the only time i did - and at once updated it to android 2.1 os from that time the vibration never worked
i tried other roms but didn't work however i didn't try downgrading
any help on that ??

Also have this problem, always have since I updated my mini pro to 2.1

Try sending to SE, maybe it's a Hardware problem.

I can't as I'm not under warranty and don't want to pay far too much for a trivial problem, was just wondering if its any sort of software related problem

Try flash and install 1.6. If the vibration still doesn't work, it's a hardware problem.

WiFi Reconnection Issues

Looks like I get the honour of posting the first problem.
So I have an unlocked and unbranded Mini Pro and can connect it without problem to my home wifi connection. The problem is that after the phone has been asleep for a while, the wifi connection is dropped and will not reconnect.
The only way to make the phone reconnect is to turn off wifi and then turn it on again. At this point it connects straight away and remains connected until it has been asleep for a while and so on.
Looking at the SE official forums, this problem affects both the Mini and Mini Pro.
It may just be a bug and we will have to wait for a fix but any clues would be welcome as it would be nice if the phone were to default to wifi (just like my Desire) when in the house.

There's advanced menu in wifi settings where you can change the delay or remove it.
But that still does not solve the problem completely, phone would randomly disconnect/reconnect sometimes. I believe I saw this problem as well on 1.6 Hero roms, and with Android 2.1 Hero has no problems staying on wifi for days.
At this moment we can see how painfully slow and shortsighted SE are, and their hardware engineers are brilliant, while their software is ages old and simply broken.
I think they should have never released mini with 1.6 Android, and if their developers are so slow, their only chance would be to release all sources to community so we can fix it ourselves.

I too thought I had heard about this problem on other phones before (but was not 100% sure). So maybe this is not an SE problem rather an Android one
But the good news is that SE have stated that the Mini and Pro will both get an upgrade to 2.1 this year (but don't hold your breath) so perhaps the answer as you say is to wait.
After all, for now, with a 3GB data package from T-Mobile and a wife who hasn't a clue what Youtube is this is not a big deal but a fix would still be nice.
I found the Wi-Fi of my X10 mini pro ( wifi sleep policy = never ) fails into sleep & disabled after the screen off for a while, even failed to re-scan network manually unless re-activate the Wi-Fi.

the htc hero had android 1.5 and not 1.6 like mini.....
I tried using FixMyWifi app but it crashes when phone sleeps. An annoying problem this, hopefully SE will fix it soon.

Is your Atrix doing this too?

Ever since I flashed the lastest update 1.8.3 I've had these problems ..first of all I like my phone as stock as possible I do however have root and sideload enable with a HDMI mod enable there are the problems I have.
-finger print scanner locks up to were I have to turn the phone off and on again
-vibration of all the buttons and keyboard suddenly stops working then back again
-I get more dropped calls while connected or not then any other smartphone I had (I had Motorola's in the past like the Q9h and phone quality was outstanding)
Is there anything I can do to fix these problems?

The fingerprint scanner is a pretty common problem..it's very finnicky for everybody.
I can't imagine why your vibe disappears..as long as the vibe hardware is still functional, i'd expect that problem to go away when we get gingerbread.
Unfortunately, I haven't had any problems with dropped calles, either. Call an ATT rep if it's a serious problem.
All in all, your problems are a variant of the software and this phone is about to receive a big software update, so I'd expect your experience to become smoother very soon.
I've had my atrix for almost a month now and only experienced the fingerprint scanner issue two or three times. Nothing else though. Try flashing the stock rom over again. Or just pull your battery one time.

Post your issue in the Q&A section of the thread, this is accessories, maybe you will get a solution there.
Look,I think that if you have posted your question in the Xperia Mini (or Xperia Mini Pro if there is a seperate forum) they could help you better, because Xperia Minis & Xperia Mini Pros come with Android 2.3.4 while X10 Minis/X10 Mini Pros come with Android 2.1.1.
That's the only thing I can tell to help you,I'm sure that other Xperia Mini Pro (not X10!!) have encountered the same problem as you and have found a solution.Check Xperia Mini Q&A or Xperia Mini Pro Q&A (If such a section exists)
I hope 'ya get your problem solved.
Thing is, miniCM9 shouldn't even start booting on the 2011 line. should just be stuck on the kernel screen so I'm not too certain what's happening. try getting a logcat

If you two had watched his video, he's definitely got a X10Mini in there, it's not unusual for people to have two phones, or play with a friend's phone.

[Q] Skype mic volume

I tried a Skype test call with my XTZ. The volume of my mic was extremely low. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks
Same problem for me :-/

If I'm corect, the mic is placed at the top if the tablet, next to the infrared sensor. That might be part of the reason why it captures poor audio.

same here
I just bought the tablet and I have the same issue. Quite disappointing I say, for a high end device. As the sound in the camera video recording is fine, I can only hope this is a software issue that will be fixed with an update.
I also have this problem. Emailed Sony support, we'll see what happens.
Sony confirmed that the device is faulty and have asked me to return it. Took a while to get through to anyone useful, though. The number I eventually used (in the UK) was 020 8762 5800. That's Sony Mobile Support. I explained the problem and they emailed me return instructions.
So if you have this problem, your device is faulty and you should contact Sony and get it repaired under the warranty.
Just got my SGP321 and discovered this annoying issue (yes, i'm on the latest fw .307)

I have tried different versions of cyanogenmod . All had the issue including the current version cm 11 nightly. Is it a hardware defect or a software? I have lost warranty on this thing so I'm hoping for a magic app or a cm update that addresses the issue. Is there anything out there?
i have same issue on cm11... can anyone help?
same problem with bluetooth headset....
Any help on this? Damn it Sony

[Q] The accessory's buttons are not supported.

Hey everybody. A long time ago i bought some cool earphones (Samsung ones) and after a couple of months when I connected them to my xperia P it told me that accessories buttons are not supported. I tried factory reset and changing ROM but nothing happened. Is there a way to fix it through build. Prop? ( unlocked BL, rooted, cm11) or if it is hardware related how much will it cost me to repair it? Thanks
So the buttons were working initially?
Sent my AOSP Xperia P
Yeah they were working like a charm.
