Hey!
Just got my SGS2, it's really awsome
I'm trying to pull something, so help me out here!
I want Minimalistic Text to show me counters for my calls, SMS's, mails and whatsapp's. I know there is a way to use local variables or something like that, but I don't know how... is there a way to integrate MT to Traffic Counter or something?
In the same matter, I want MT to show my battery level as Accented when above 15%, and Non-accented when under it. Is there a way to do so?
Hope someone could help me... Android is great, and MT is great app!
Help, someone...?
You can use Tasker to create system variables with msg counters. Then, you can use it in minimal text.
Here is the xda thread about it:

Hey guys, went through a few pages of search to try and find an answer before posting with no luck.
I was wondering if there was a way to get on-demand type TTS reading for text messages, emails, webpages or other highlighted texts.
Ideally I am hoping for something where I could long press something, and have a "read to me" type option. I don't want it to automatically read EVERY text I receive, because that would be embarrassing in a quiet office lol.
Thanks in advance!!
Dangit! I'm searching for the exact same thing and I keep coming across posts like this with no responses! Nobody knows of an app like this???
Thanks,
Billy
you can paste all the text in an app what reads a textfield, but something better i couldnt find. TTs is an API in Android SDK and simple to integrate in own apps, or not?

Yeah, I know that's an option, and thank you for the reply, but I'm mainly looking for something to use when I'm in the car. Obviously this option won't work.
Anybody else?
Thanks,
Billy
Looking fot the same did you find anything?
Hey everyone. I have been searching the internet for 2 days for a solution to this. I have not been able to find anything that helps. I'm curious if its a phone issue rather then an issue with the app. I am getting to know Tasker and love it so far. Used minimalistic test to set my unread SMS count. Then i ran into Zoom. So I have been trying to figure out how to set my unread SMS count as a simple text display in Zoom. It started out as a simple test widget to get used to the controls. But i simply cannot get it to work!
Can someone please walk me through step for step what I should be doing? It is probably a very simple step that I am missing but I would really appreciate the help. I'm the kind of person that is obsessed until I know how something works.....:crying:
Thanks in advance!
Hey Guys,
it maybe sounds a bit stupid, but i exactly want to know how the alarm clock works. If u create an alarm, the informations must be saved somewhere and if u activate an alarm there must be an service in the background which look if the time is right and then send an intent to an activity ? This service have to run every time the phone is on. Am i right ?
The reason why i want to know this, is because i'm writing an app which is in this point very similar to an android alarm clock. How it works:
The user enter a start and end time , in this time the app should do something, but it should not only work while the user is in the app, it should also work when the user is in another app, on the home screen or when the display is off.
I already tried it with 2 activities, a Broadcast, but it won't really work
Have you guys maybe an idea how i can reach my goal?
Hope i'm in the right section of this forum

I am by no means an expert in the subject but I would recommend taking a look at this information, as well as this documentation on Android Process Life-cycle.
it is maybe possible to use http://developer.android.com/reference/android/app/AlarmManager.html as Service, so i can wake my app up with this and don't have to write my own ...
Hello, first of all I wanna mention that I'm a beginner with Android and stuff, I know how to root and use Xposed Framework and a few other things, but I'm definitely no expert. And that's why, after I've been doing some research but failed to find what I needed, I decided to ask the experts here. So here goes : I need to find a way to block someone in Whatsapp without them appearing as blocked on my device. Practically to cut off all incoming (and outcoming, if possible) messages or calls from that person, but without them appearing as blocked in Whatsapp, in Contact - Settings - More - Block/Unblock. Plain and simple, I need to cut off any comunication between my Whatsapp account and his, just like in the normal blocking, only that I don't want this to show on my Whatsapp in any way, I need to make it look like he's not blocked but just not answering, like in the case of normal blocking. It doesn't matter if there's a third party app that does this, or some Whatsapp tweaks, or whatever method, as long as it can do it. The device is a Huawei Y 635, running Android 4.4.4. KitKat, rooted. I am grateful to hear any idea about how something like this can be done. If it can be done. So, thank you in advance for your time, and I am waiting your answers.
Anyone? Please, I really need this. If I posted in the wrong section, my apologies and hope I can have the thread moved in the right place. Thank you, and still waiting for answers in the matter described above.
Additionally, I'm also looking for on answer phone call count in that for specific numbers. Not looking for an app just script JavaScript whatever you want to use it's fine, and it would be fun to see what that turns out to look like anybody interested let me know.
He can be discussed before hand and will be fair
