Well, there has been yet another update to Order & Chaos and still no Tab 10.1 support
Anybody have a link available yet to versioin that will work for the Tab 10.1?

These are two things I could never do on my vibrant, so I'm always taking my wifes iphone to do to do them. Will the s2 be capable of this. Dont want an iphone but these are pretty big for me.
My galaxy s could open pdf just fine using think free office, (which came pre installed from samsung) but was also freely available in the market.
The sgs2 comes with polaris office, which works just as well.
Hmmm my problem was emails mostly, I could never open the attachments, does it work for that
Automatically, I click on preview attachment button, it downloads it and then up pops think free to view the attachment.

you click the attachment, it downloads and opens with your pdf viewing app. You can do that with any android phone that supports to app to my knowledge
No Netflix I'm afraid and I doubt it'll be coming any time soon as Qualcomm have it as an exclusive for their snapdragon handsets which is allegedly because of DRM.

why would netflix do that.. right now the only thing stopping me from getting a netflix account is that i cant use it on my phone..isnt there some sort of port for it to work on regular phones?
Adobe reader works just fine for PDF files. and its free. Download from the market place.

This was working a while back but Netflix put a stop to it. The EVO is also a Snapdragon phone.

So, Hulu Plus has been released to specific devices...not including ours.
The APK has been posted here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1136634&page=3 ), except that on launch, it notifies us that video playback isn't supported on the device.
Can someone rooted test this out with their build.prop modified to one of the supported devices (see build.prop info here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13952218&postcount=722 ), or can someone more knowledable with APK hacking disable the device checking?

Changing the build.prop kills the samsung services including the keyboard and several widgets.
and oh yeah, it doesn't get us hulu either.

for the Droid Incredible 2 on my g-tab 8.9, and it works perfectly--EXCEPT that the video is cell-phone-size, takes up about a quarter of the tab's screen. Maybe starting with that, someone could figure out how make it the right size?
Just watch hulu from the browser with the modified flash player. I have been doing that for months now.

Skype released an update today that released video calling to some devices.

Don't need root. Sign in and chat work, haven't had a chance to try voice or video.

I am sure it checks the type of Device you are using to provide or deny access to the Video chat feature. Until Someone can Bypass that check we will have to continue to use it as it is.
just tried the xoom skype and it doesnt work. hope someone can get it to work!

I am dying to have a functional Skype on the GT. I have a friend in Japan who I Skype with and another in the Philippines who I'll probably Skype with soon. It would be phenomenal to have it.
One friend of mine has video chat with GoogleChat on his SGT and said the person on the other end could barely hear them. Said he uninstalled and reinstalled, but could not get the volume out to any respectable level.
I'm hoping that's a software issue and not a terribad microphone.

I don't believe it works on the galaxy tab. It works on my Galaxy S. The Tegra processor doesn't include the NEON extensions, which are used in the binary, thus it exits right away.

Pretty much the same deal. Works well with the Note i717.
I am running the Hybrid ROM in Tablet mode and this app works great.

Is it safe for an app to collect a device's imei to their server? The EULA claims that it is used to verify the device. It is in the privacy policy.

No I have the free one and I play YouTube videos. just go into YouTube app and press the share button then see all and its at the bottom.

OK all, while this app seams to have everything I would want it has one major thing I don't want LAG. just wondering is it doing this to everyone or just me? What I mean is this, when it plays a video it plays about 2 sec then buffers, but in the youtube app the same video will play with no issues. I am useinf the free version and have un installed and re installed it already. Also I am getting throttled speeds on ATT however as I have said youtube works just fine. Any ideas?

I haven't experienced any lag as of yet. Both on Flapjaxxx's UCLE2 and CM9.

No lag here and I'm still on FJ's GB ROM.
With more use I've noticed it seems to be only YouTube and only.the hd videos, any other site with hd works fine and the YouTube app with hd works fine. Might just be that I'm throttled, I'll post back after my new bill cycle and update. Just asking is anyone else throttled and working right? By the way I'm only getting hspa+ in my area. But still a GREAT app for anyone, thanks again for sharing.

I am experiencing low frame rate when switching to full screen. When the video is floating, it's perfectly fine.

I understand that it says that the Prime is an unsupported device. But it seems like those problems shouldn't exist with a device this old and on ICS. Which is much more widely adopted now.
I downloaded it to my galaxy nexus and then sideloaded it on the prime and it works fine.

Downloaded our apk. Installed no problems. The problem I'm having is the video and sound is in slow motion. It starts out fine then slows down. Anyone else experienceing this?
From another thread, they said to press the home button and use the app switcher button to switch back to the Live Extra app to get rid of the slow-mo bug.
It worked for me at least.
