SGP 4.0 Video Recording too dark.

I own a Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0. Whenever I record video indoors using the default video recorder, the video always appear too dark. I don't see any controls for controlling the exposure for the video recording. Are there any 3rd party apps I could use that have better control over the 3mp camera for the video recording?

Adjust brightness when watching videos

How do I adjust brightness when watching videos?
Been looking everywhere.
What video player are you using?
Never used stock video player. If you want to try alternatives, both MX and Dice allow one to do this via on-screen swipe.

The one I'm using is called MoboPlayer. Simple swipe up/down on the left of the screen while playing video adjust brightness while swiping up/down on the right side adjust the volume. Plays any video formats also.
I've been using the stock videoplayer. Surely there has to be a way to adjust brightness?

Yep!
-start to play the video you want
-hit the menu button
-choose setting
-there you should have the option to adjust brightness
Just use MoboPlayer. You can adjust brightness while watching video.

Try MX player. Slide your finger to change brightness and volume.

Video Playback Brightness?

My S3 seems to have no adjustability for video playback brightness. I recorded a few videos and during playback there is no options to adjust playback quality. When the video starts it is bright then goes dim but if you transfer it to the home screen (small pip window) it will re-brighten before moving to homescreen. Am I missing something?

Same problem here, anyone?
While video is playing. Menu. Settings. You'll see the video brightness option.
Got it!
I figured it out, the settings are there but only before rotating the phone to widescreen. Thanks!

Videos are always played in landscape mode

Noticed that few videos are always getting played in landscape mode and doesn't play in portrait mode even if I rotate the device. Tried several players and its the same behavior. Its a bit annoying when using with one-handed mode on train.
Any ideas how to fix this problem?

If you open a video and click on the square inside a square top right corner it will open up in portrait mode PIP on your home screen.
