Need some help, i am using the av cable on my tab 10.1 and the sound is there but no picture.Must i do any setting on my tablet to receive the picture
I've not used that on the 10.1, but on my 7" you have to specify PAL or NTSC. You might be outputting the wrong format. Was this item you have marketed specifically for the 10.1?

Looks like Expansys has the EPL-3PHPBEG in stock. $37.99 + tax, shipped. 2% CB is available if you're an FW member. I can't post links yet, but go to their site and search the model number, and you'll see it.

In regards to those drawing apps, do they work well for handwriting on other tablets?
Good question.is there someone who has transformer to test it on?
Otherwise I've tested my Samsung galaxy s phone and even with single core processor the lag there is negligible. There is diverging, but it us able to d recognize my handwriting. But of course this phone has cm7 and not original firmware
I wonder how I could send this video to Samsung and report a bug.I did not find any relevant email address

The reason I ask is that I purchased Asus Eee PC (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003D1DZBY) back in 2010 intending to use it for handwriting and mathematics. Well, it was unusable for both. So if a resistive touch screen PC, designed and marketed for writing, can't do a good job, then I would be surprised if any of these tablets could. I am hoping that I am wrong

Anyone know if this adapter will work with the P3113? I know it's not listed as working with the Tab 2 at all, but I was hoping someone had one already or something
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy-tab-accessories/EPL-3PHPBEGSTA
If it doesn't work does anyone know of something that will work for video out from our device?
I have that adapter and, no it will not work with my tab.

Ah bummer. Thanks for checking!!
hdtv adaptor
Also, I went to a local radio shakc and I used that 30 pin to usb adapter and got a usb to hdmi adaptor on the end of it, and the TV detects that here is an input, but no dice. I knew it was a long shot, but just an FYI for everyone out there..
So does the Galaxy Tab 2 not support HDMI out? I have looked online and keep seeing no one haveing luck. I was actually kind of shocked to see this.
I have the US version of the Tab 2 10.1
Any suggestions or help is appreciated.
I think its the seven inch that does not support HDMI, so far.

Geezz how many threads does it take for everyone to get the message that the P31xx series Tab 2 7 inch does not have the hardware to support Video output of any type?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1643303&page=5&highlight=hdmi
Also its pretty clear from the Samsung website. The 10 version has HDMI out , the 7 inch does not.
Check the accessories page
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy-tab/GT-P5113TSYXAR-accessories
The P5113 list the Galaxy Tab™ HDTV Adapter
EPL-3PHPBEGSTA
THe P3113 does not.
"Galaxy Tab™ HDTV Adapter
“**Compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 8.9, Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, Galaxy Tab 7.7, Galaxy Tab 2 10.1”
The HDTV adapter supports HD signals up to 1080p. Connects directly to a standard HDMI cable for easy connectivity to home theater or monitor. Can connect directly to the Galaxy Tab to create an HDMI docking station. (HDMI cable sold separately) Not Compatible with Galaxy Tab 7.0."
Also on the adapter compatible products page the P3113 Tab 2.7 is not listed.
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy-tab-accessories/EPL-3PHPBEGSTA-compatible
Doesn;t work folks,, can;t work folks, Get a grip or get a GT-6210 7 Plus.
Sorry, New to this tablet, thought it might be a software restriction.

Hi all,
Imagine: you come home from work, place your Galaxy S2 in your docking pad or station(or w/e its called), turn on the 23"+ monitor and start surfing the internet, listening to music, watching videos/movies - with your docked Galaxy S2 - as a 'PC'
Does such a device exist yet? The dock I'm asking for handles(or should) the following:
- the galaxy s2, charging while docked
- the hdmi monitor
- the usb2.0 keyboard + usb2.0 mouse
- 5.1 or 7.1 audio speakers system
- ethernet port (preffered)
or something similar to this - with the above list - for galaxy s2: http://us.aoc.com/monitor_displays/e2343fi - note the: "with built-in iPhone®/iPod® dock."
Sorry if this was asked before, I've searched but no match. Similar thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441993&highlight=docking+stand

You will never find a dock which allows HDMI and USB simultaneously. MHL simply doesn't work that way. Only one (either HDMI out, or USB) can be used at a time.
You'll need a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to achieve this

something similar for galaxy s2? (or s3)
that one works for s3, but it seems the usb slots will not work, hardware limitation on phone?
whats the difference that note2 has and s3 doesnt have, that lets the usb work on note2 but not on s3?
edit: ah, I see, link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_High-Definition_Link#11-pin_MHL-USB_Connector

Yes, I should have been more clear. 5 pin MHL on the i9100 does not support simultaneous USB & HDMI. This is a hardware limitation.
Note 2 and Galaxy S3 have 11 pin MHL.

going offtopic a bit, it seems the s3 11pin is not backwards compatible, so not really MHL, but proprietary(to sell s3 specific accesories), link: http://www.galaxymhl.com/ ... original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1836822
back ontopic, could the samsung multimedia dock be used with s2?
PS: I hate that I'd have to purchase bluetooth kb+mouse just for that

There are many versions of "the samsung multimedia dock", for many models of Samsung phones. You'll need to be more specific.
And no external dock is going to change the fact that the i9100 has a 5-pin MHL connection, which still will not support simultaneous HDMI out and USB.
As for the off-topic, there are adapters you can get in order to plug an S3 into an existing 5-pin MHL adapter.
EDIT: here's one direct from Samsung.
