thnx for the help but it isn't a boot loop but it just won't start up
only thing i can do is to push it in downloadmode after falshing original sw it still doesn't start?
is it bricked now?
need desperate help now snifsnif
I would follow the boot loop instructions first .
1) Turn off your phone. Unplug it from your computer etc
2) Hold down home, power, and volume UP. This will enter recovery mode. If you are using CF-Root, you'll get CWM recovery.
Do you have in CWM recovery Mounts and storage if so Format data system cache and sd card .
Followed by boot to download mode and flash stock rom .
jje
problem is i can't get in recovery mode either not original or cwm
so that is why i can only flash through odin
flashing original fw at the moment with odin but it is hangin now for about 5 mins. now with writing factoryfs?
Ok lets try flash CWM root via Odin
Root + CWM .
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399
Then enter recovery .

ok did what you said but it started by giving boot image with triangle but after that nothing can't get into recovery or download mode
only thing is that it still gives a battery pic when i put it in power socket
is it really broken now?
trying to get the original fw/sw on but is it normal that it takes so long to write factoryfs on th phone?
No should not take more than 10-15 mins to flash in full .
Edit it was broken from your first post but we can recover 90% of the time .
You are out of options return to service centre and say it failed during a Kies update .
jje
now it worked with frankensteins fw xxxk3 startss up with original samsung letters without triangle but it won't boot or startup as it supposed to do?
when i use vol up+home+power i get a grey battery icon?
samsung centre not in neighboorhood only thing to do is get it back to vodafone shop where i got it.

If the phone is not responding to any button inputs now, your only choice is a JIG that may be able to force download mode, if that doesn't work, a de-bricking service

Hi Folks,
I flashed Foxhound 1.4.1 earlier and tried to flash CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4.tar with Mobile Odin so I could use ClockWorkMod to its full extent, but the phone is now stuck in a bootloop - the Mobile Odin logo appears then it quickly reboots.
I've tried removing the battery and starting in Recovery mode and Download mode, but the Mobile Odin flashing logo comes on no matter what I try.
I've even tried connecting the phone to my PC and running Odin, but it doesn't recognise the phone
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Robbie

I would pull the battery, wait 30 seconds and reinsert the battery, go in downloadmode if possible and flash a stock rom with Odin. Than reroot with CF Root. If not possible try a jig to get in downloadmode. Good luck :fingers-crossed:
Enter into recovery mode , run wipe data , factory reset , reboot. mobile odin logo should disappear. Enters into download mode, flash new firmware stock samsung. http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/

I've just been told that dinner's ready, so will leave the battery out until after that.
If I need to buy a jig, can you please recommend the best place to pick one up?

You might just need a USB jig to get into download, flash again, and wipe data from stock recovery. I just did that last night, as a matter of fact, after tinkering around and breaking some stuff with a faulty odexing script.

Can you explain what you mean by USB jig? and how exactly to wipe my data?
You have download mode yes or no .
If no a usb recovery jig may allow you to boot to download mode .
If not its a service centre repair .
Suggest you read the basic faqs and guides before messing with firmware .

Since you can see the opening screen,I am sure it would go into download mode.
Press Volume up+Volume Down+Power to boot up the phone into Download mode.Connect the phone to your PC and see whether Odin recognizes it.Then, flash the stock Rom.

Did you flash a stock rom with odin v3.07?Your recovery might be damaged. First, install the stock rom with odin.Make sure it boots. Then go into recovery by pressing volume up+power+home and flash your desired rom.

No need for service center, just follow the steps for flashing a rom through Odin and you can recover your phone to a working state, but grab all the patience you can and follow the steps CAREFULLY, or you'll have a really hard time recovering your Ace-i
Hi guys "I DID IT" many thanks for your time and replies!!! what i did was i watched several videos on how to use Odin which i wasnt sure of then i put the phone in download mode & it worked THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! All the best for Xmas hope you have a fantastic time!!!!
I'm using v40 of temasek unofficial cm11, Boefflea version 11 kernel.
while I was using my phone, the phone suddenly went into a reboot and started the boot-loop, even when I pull the battery out and put it back in it starts booting immediately and goes into the boot-loop , whenever I try to go into download mode or recovery mode, once or twice I will be able to reach it, but 3 seconds in, it restarts and goes into the boot loop again (I can't choose between restarting or going into download mode)
would a USB jig help me getting into the download mode or will it be 3 seconds in and restarts?
would a service center help me retain my data as I need them?
Thank you.
momentarily I've managed to be able to access download mode and the laptop started making a sound trying to identify the device, too bad the battery fell off (or the phone restarted) lol
anyways I still need help because I couldn't get into any of them
If the phone starts the moment a battery is inserted then usually the power button is stuck -try giving it a wiggle, or get it replaced.

yeah will do that once this gets fixed lol ..
for some awkward reason, I found out that once I pull out the battery I can use download mode
what should I download?
I tried flashing CWM but I get back to the bootloop ... should I install a newer bootloader?
No, bootloader is irrelevant to firmware. You would be best to flash a full stock rom with odin then factory reset and see if it will boot. I would suspect the power cycling may have caused partition problems if recovery got wiped.

which would mean I would lose all the data in the previous cm11 right?
I'm trying my best to flash a recovery but I think it got wiped for good.. I'm trying to flash it over and over again .. (I unplug the battery once I'm in download mode to prevent the sudden restart) .. before I flashed the CWM through odin I was able to go into a glimpse of a recovery mode, now I can't seem to see it at all...
is there a way to just copy the data (mostly pictures) through odin or adb with my phone current state?
Google says it might be possible

only through recovery mode or hoping your phone would suddenly connect after many boots lol
I don't think that will be my case .. oh well
as long as I can get my phone working again
going back to stock rom didn't fix the issue. can't access anything yet.
any help?
if anyone is reading this, I've been looking everywhere for a stock rom with pit file, I think that's the problem I'm facing since I have different bootloaders and different modes, somewhere around that I jacked my partitions and I think this would help putting it all back
I've found ones for android 4.1 but nothing of 4.3 .. since I came from 4.3 stock rom and then 4.4 kitkat temasek I think 4.1 won't help me at all
time to go to a service center I guess.
OK this is weird...
after I gave up I put my phone on a recover firmware that for some bizarre reason brought it back to life!!! I just put the phone back and left .. 5 hours later it was on and working.. I was able to access the phone for a brief moment.. but for some reason again I wasn't able to get the touch screen to work... I was able to raise the volume.. restart the phone.. but nothing on touch screen..
then it went back to the dead state...
any ideas?
@boomboomer

USB JIG
Well, after saving a long time, I finally got my s3 on amazon.com, when I opened it, it was new and beautiful, I powered it up, inserted my sim, and the phone freezed, after that I waited 2 minutes, and pulled out the battery, and tried to power it up again, but it got stuck at the yellow triangle saying to put it in download mode and use kies, I looked in the forum and found an Odin tutorial , downloaded all the neccessary tools, left the phone plugged to my USB port in download mode doing nothing, and went out fifteen minutes, when i came back decided to flash a new working rom onto my phone i founded the telephone completely dead, not responding to any key combination or cable connection to my pc, i thought it was the battery , charged it on my brothers phone and the phone was still dead,(i tested the battery for voltage and it delivered 3.7 v and 1500 maH, all correct and optimal values, I searched again and tried with a USB jig, trying to get into recovery mode, and it did not work either (the usb jig was allright, because it worked on my brothers phone, and on a friends Galaxy SII , so i do not know what else to do, and i ended posting here. What can i do? i will send it back to warranty , but maybe i can solve it first , Thanks!
Hardware bricked you can do nothing .
USB Jig is not for recovery mode .
If you have flashed your warranty may be void .
But also possible its SDS .
Sudden Death .

Do you have latest Samsung drivers installed? And also try to run Odin as administrator if you're using Windows.
