The Sony s1 can play PSP games why can't we? ...... just wondering would it be possible to put it on the gt10.1
Sent from my GT-P7510 using XDA Premium App
They cant play psp games. They have the same acces to ported PSX games asthe xperia play.
Im sure if someone were to make an emulator for it much like the nes games and other ones. It could only be a matter of time before we get some psp games on our tabs.
I dont think so. Maybe the Quadcore generation would do it~

I would gladly take that feature. A stable PSX port of a game, I would pay for it.

I tried too. Works perfect. Really fast.
But if you play too much, you would probably f**k the screen with finger force
Just to clarify, these games cannot be posted here......

i'm not surprised since all the psx games i've tried run really smooth on the FPse emulator. i haven't checked the framerates but it's runs at a speed that's faster than my eyes can depict flaws. the Arc's graphics card is truly impressive. it is much much better than the old version in the X10. the FinalFantasy HD trailer that comes bundled with the Arc runs choppy on my Sony Vaio X-Series laptop but plays smoothly on the Arc.
btw, to all you PSX or even SNES gamers, go buy a Datel Wii Retro Game Controller and download Wiimote Controller from the Market (or google it) and you can play your games wirelessly from the couch while the phone is hooked up to the TV via HDMI. it's literally the coolest thing you can do with your phone.
Which clock widget used in the video? It look great!

The Playstation Pocket app is only a launcher. The ps1 games are emulated but the emu is inside each apk.

1. If you are talking about PS games you brought from market will not show up or maybe install. I dont think you can as the S has different PlayStation permissions files. So
Are you rooted? This (maybe) will work. Only way to play the games from the market would be to push (set permissions = rw-r--r--) this file attached (unzip first) to system>etc>permissions. Then side load the apk ripped from your Play as most likey will say not compatible with device in market. You may even have to change the device name in buildprop to download SD data and play. (edit = have tried this and it works to install but did not download data to try play)
Up to you but dont think its worth it. Just find iso's of the games you own and buy fpse as the opengl plugin works nice on the S and looks alot better then the standered PS1 titles available on google play store and Ps store.
2. If you where talking about a genral games launcher that you had on play (this = https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wxLDEsImNvbS5zb255ZXJpY3Nzb24uc2VtY3N1aXRlIl0.) you can not have that unless you have permission files for it.
3. if you want a games launcher that you can pick and add your games to use this as easier = http://www.xperiagamer.com/Blog3/snapdragon-gamecommand.html
Bro that was really helpfull tannkksss alottt poo tong! !!!

I can't find a stable emulator for our phones, I tried psx4droid but it just won't run any of my ps1 games.. FPse does but very laggy, is there a better emulator that works well with the xperia s?
What do you mean FPSE is laggy? I moved from Xperia Play where I spent many hours playing my best PS1 games to Xperia S, on XPS all games looking much better and faster even when I use OPEN GL plugin. Games I tested so far on my XPS:
- Tekken 3
- ISS soccer 98
- Tony Howk Pro Skater 2
- COlin McRea Rally 2.0
- Gran Turismo 2
- TOCA
- Ready To Rumble

it is not about the money, I havent got created account and I am a bit lazy to do it but if it is the only way to play PS1 games on xperia, I ll probably have no other choices than create the account. in my opinion it is also not expensive at all and totally worth that money

But why would you want to?
If I feel like playing my seriously outdated ps1 games then I would simply use my ps1 on my 42" TV
Why on earth play them on a tiny screened fone. I have an SGS2 & I STILL wouldn't wanna play them on it!

what was your fav HD game?

Probably not exactly what you were looking for but the best games you can play on a smartphone (IMHO!) are SNES and PSX games The SGS3 does a perfect job at this, especially with a BT gamepad.
Reason being mobile games are just not designed all that well. Usually they are F2P (freemium etc) which i cant stand. And F2P kills about every game... (unless the only thing you can buy for realmoney is not affecting gameplay or balance). So there aren't many games that have fun gameplay and something like a story that i actually want to know about in the playstore. And if they are they are remakes of "real" games like the Final Fantasies or Duke Nukem 3D cool.
What i usually end up playing on my SGS3 are games like:
-Temple Run 2
-Klondike
-Tetris
-Beach Buggy
-Subway Surfer
u know, the usual stuff that you can play for 5mins on the bus and be done with it. I have yet to see a mobile game that keeps me interested for any prolonged period of time... Dungeon Hunter 2 was pretty close, but then they decided to go F2P with DH3... yay...

Devil's Attorney
Temple Run

Dungeon Hunter
Shark evolution
9mm is an game which is only compatible with powervr gpu powered phone...
But you still can run it with chainfire3D with powervr plug-in..
But I always failed to run chainfire3D on my phone..
But I wonder if you tried the max Payne mobile(which is the official max Payne game on android)
It's so tough.. I completed it though when I had s2..
Chainfire broke with 4.1 update (Jellybean) and only partially worked under Ics since it was developed for 2.x
A shame noone replicated the excellent work.
