I just installed Eclipse v6 Blurless (wipe data / cache x3) and I seem to be missing the check box option to enable data roaming. It usually is located in Settings-> Wireless & networks-> Mobile networks. All I see is "System select" in the Mobile network settings. I checked every other setting option and cannot find it.
Look under settings > data and battery manager > data delivery and check roaming. I looked in the same place you did. Lol.

Is there any work arounds to enabling roaming data without the data and battery manager?
FYI, Nitro just tweeted that he will add the battery and data manager back in the next version of eclipse.

Sorry if this has been posted before but my native Gmail app (not the motorola one-"email") has stopped working since 4.1.83. I tried uninstalling updates and reinstalling through the market but didn't work.. Does anyone know a solution?

I had an issue with gmail after 4.1.83 as well. I used Titanium Backup to completely uninstall it, then grabbed a fresh one from the market. That seemed to clear things up. Try that!
Still doesn't work... Can't send composed messages

Try the following:
Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Running tab > Select GMail > Clear Data > Force Close > Back > All tab > Clear Cache > Restart GMail.
Still not working

Reboot after you do this before you restart gmail. Also try clearing your call log and deleting all your texts.

Sorry been looking on how to do it for forever, but can't seem to find it. I om on the tethering plan and already used up my 4 gigs of data so I am close to over using my internet data. How do I turn off the internet, without turning off the actual phone service (like texting and calling).
Thanks!!!!

I can not get any 3g signal at all, and there is no 3g signal in the status bar. I have no battery apps, and I have an unlimited data plan. Help?

check your setting in data/battery manager in settings. See if perfomance is checked under battery and in data make sure data saver is off and the checked boxes are first and third boxes
If both are there. Go to privacy ... chose factory reset. This will restore your phone to stock settings. Your apps u download from market will.be gone. Check the top to first. Chances are one is the problem. Also go into dialer and dial *22899 before factory reset and see if that works if other two are not the issue

Going abroad for 1st time with this phone, how do I completely switch off all data?
Every Android phone is different and this is no exception.
Do all I need to do is go into data manager and switch of in there?

You're using an XT910, so there's a dedicated data toggle widget that works just fine. Otherwise, yes, disable both data and data roaming in the Data Manager settings section.

That's not an option under Wireless & networks (on the XT910, at least). Moto moved it to its own 'Data Manager' section instead.

That's odd. It is grouped separately from the others, labelled 'Mobile Data Toggle' rather than 'Toggle: [something]' like the rest.

I have messed with my stalk rom and needed tho fastboot my stock rom again to make the pone work properly. However after I fasbooted the stock hong kong taiwan rom (I am from hk), I lost capability for connect through 3G. And even when I flashed into other roms, the same thing happens. I am wondering if this is an experienced issue and how I can fix it

You need to set you Access Point Names
Is under Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Mobile Networks - > Access Point Names
You need to verify which ones your carrier uses.

Shouldn't the phone be able to choose the apn and 3g connection itself? I went to the access point settings and there is I can't see anything pre loaded there. And if adding an apn app is going to fix the problem, which one should I use? Me so noob that me cant stand
