Hey I have lgCamera for video recording the settings are focus mode semi-continuous, vid res 640 x 480, video encoder mpeg4, video file format mpeg4, video bitrate 2 mbit, video framerate 30 fps, audio encoder AAC, audio samplerate 44100, audio bitrate 128000.
I am still having some freezes when recording thus audio will not sync after the freeze.
What are the best settings, or is there any other application which is better than lgCamera.
Many Thanks

don't know why I am having trouble, video and audio seems synced at first, but then video freezes for seconds and it becomes unsynchronised. Don't know what to do.. tried every app and setting out there.
Sorry for my bad english but i am german. Wich rom do you have installed ? Stock or custom ? I use custom rom ginger dx 14 and the lg camcorder works fine. Maybe your sd card is too slow.

I use MiniCM7.. my sd card is not the case.. if you check my benchmarks down below you can see that my phone has high benchmark numbers..
SD card write 5.1 MB/s and reads at 14.1 MB/s

I have precisely the same problem..
To solve this issue, is to set the audio encoder to amr nb, but bad audio quality is the consequence..
sorry my bad english
(lgCamera is better then camera from custom rom?)
i hope you understand now

pixelated videos when 'moving camera'
here's me resurrecting old topic but i need help
so, what settings are you guys using? i tried using settings provided in first post, and everything works fine except i get pixelated videos only when moving camera faster or capturing some faster motions.
pixels appear only then, eg. when fast moving camera left-to-right, up-down, and when i stop moving it, video is clear, non pixelated.
anyone have same issue? any cure to this? thank you
btw, im using MiniCM 2.1.9. on mini pro
really? over 1000 views and no constructive reply.. please if someone found optimal settings share them...
ok, i think that i've found optimal lgcamera v 6.25 settings for lagless/nonpixelated/synced video
My settings:
Focus mode: semc-continuous (autofocus working in recording!)
Video resolution: 640x480
Video encoder: MPEG4
Video file format: MPEG4
Video bitrate: 4 Mbit
Video framerate: auto
Audio encoder: AAC
Audio samplerate: 44100
Audio bitrate: 128000
please report your output here if you test this settings...

hm, strange, what cm-performance settings are you using? what governor? and have you undervolted your device?
btw, i'm on mini pro, naa's minicm, currently using ondemand 129-600 mhz and everything is working fine. i have replaced camera libs (system/libs) from slade's gintonic rom. maybe there is the solution, don't know.. but as far as i can remember, videos weren't laggy for me when i was on naa's libs, only pixelated... hm, need to test it more..

This are my settings, works perfectly, but...
you must have good overall performance, for example, close all running apps, also I have overclocked to 768Mhz.
cheers.

I think, this is best settings for x10 mini and its working with default video player
i use meninx encoder to encode video files...the only thing is that i have not been very successful in running my encoded videos on my mob using x264 encoder

got this one
it is best so far it converts almost every format to Mp4 and you can change the quality from low, normal, to high
and its FREE
DVDVideoSoft
or
or you can use LG camera (free) from android market and encode directly in mp4 / don t use resolutions what are not recomended, the apps will crush.
i'd like to convert avi and other video files for my sga.
What is the recommend settings for convert?
video bitrate?
audio bitrate?
format?
fps?

mp4 (either H.263 or H.264/MPEG-4 AVC)
30 or 29.97 or 25 (depending on the original fps of the video you are formating)
350 - 500 kbps video bitrate
480 x 360 px video resolution (for high quality)
112 kbit/s AAC-LC
Make sure to us Baseline Profile for AVC
..or, you could just use Mobo video player. It can play many video format.
vPlayer support a lot of formats as well!
If u want to convert video files for ace on a pc use a video converter like xilisoft video converter.it has a separate profile for samsung phones.
Sent from my GT-S5830 using XDA Premium App
thanks to everybody
Use mobo, it supports most formats, wonderful player
Hello.
I'm asking people who have LGCamera, which are the best settings you have achieved on both video and photo.
I've looked for settings in video and can't achieve good results since I don't understand of sound bitrate and format. I've been searching for info in this forum but haven't found anything for i9100 except in the camera.apk mod thread.
Hope this thread can be of utility for those people who're having the same issue!
Thanks!
Set AAC encoder.
Set audio sampling rate to 44100 and audio bitrate to 128000.
Don't set stereo sound recording (SGS2 will crashes because does not support).
Thanks! and video settings?
EDIT: I mean, video encoding, bitrate and that stuff.
Video encoder set to H.264, bitrate 10-30 Mbps, file format to MPEG4
Hi! I'm trying to find a way to play 720p videos smoothly on my Tablet S but I can't find a proper bitrate for it. I tried 4000 but it's still laggy. On some tutorials I found they were saying to use 1500 as bitrate but that is ridiculous. A 720p video with bitrate 1500 will result in a lot of dead pixels. So what can I do?
I'm using Format Factory to convert the MKV videos to MP4 H.264/AVC 720p
Help please :crying:
Sorry bad english

The best video format for the Sony Tablet S is MPEG-4 (mp4) encoded using a H.264 CODEC with a pixel size of 1280 x 720, a bit rate of 1500 kbps, and a frame rate of 29.97 fps. The video's audio should be stereo AAC with a sample rate of 44100 Hz and a bit rate of 96000 bps. I use and recommend Handbrake for converting videos and MX Player Pro for playing videos.

Actually you can just download Dice Player or BS Player Lite. This two video player can play any mkv files I load into it. even upto 1080p  :good:
1080p are terribly laggy

Ok I tried some 720p MKV files and the sound isn't synchronized with the video. Also I still noticed some lag.

Try QQPlayer. I had a lot of problems with video playing slower than audio when using Dice and MX, but QQ seemed to clear them up. Other than that, try using a video converter (such as Handbrake) and use the Apple TV preset. Works for me.
I'm also disappointed by the Tegra 2 performance in video. Here are some thoughts and questions.
From my personal tries, all video players (MX, BSPlayer, Dice) have about the same performance (perhaps BSPlayer with ARMv7 plugin is a little better). Does every video player Tegra 2 video playback implementation are based on the same library?
Is there some way to make some low-level (asm) optimization that would help? I would gladly take a look if there was a way to do it.
I've noticed that even 720P High profile have some lag! Not very serious, but noticeable!! For example, Rise of the Silver Surfer 720P-HP trailer (see h264info.com/clips.html) lags at several points in the video. It may be clearly seen with BSPlayer, when displaying FPS information ('(i)' button during video playback).
1080P Baseline Profile seems to play smoothly (and H/W acceleration is enabled).
Video players disables H/W acceleration for High Profile 1080P so, of course it is terribly laggy. Is it a technical requirement? Isn't there a way to force H/W acceleration for Full HD High profile videos, even if that wouldn't mean full speed?
I read somewhere here that you can record 4k with open camera the resolution of the video is 3264 x 1836 which is 4k but youtube does not show 4k option.
The video recorded with opencamera looks way better than the stock Samsung video recording .So is smasung playing tricks with us?
New video this time 100mbs bitrate
How did you do it? I don't know how I have to configure the Opencamera's app to record in 4K.
Thank you very much!

You enable camera2 API and you change the resolution to highest and you can also change the video/audio bitrate you can experiment yourself .But Don't know if there is a difference between 1080p high bitrate vs 4k high bitrate to be honest haven't test it
wtf 4k video?
is 120 fps 1080p or 60 fps 1080p possible? btw I'm on a7 2017 but that shouldn't make much of a difference
