Fastest ROM - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This is a thread to see which ROM gives the best quadrant scores Iv'e tried them all but it seems that now my Quadrant scores seem to get lower and lower ' I'm just trying to find out which rom is Fastest and stable at the same time
---------- Post added at 09:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:46 PM ----------
EDIT : that is NOT cm7 based I'm just getting tired of seeing only cm7 ROMS around here. . .

Quadrant scores are not the same as speed. My guess is that the highest quadrant score is not the fastest rom.
As far as responsiveness goes, MIUI revolution was the best for me. I'm using phiremod current because its a good combo of speed + battery.

If you don't want to jump on the cm7 band wagon id suggest edt`s malice v5.

Aight thanks i used to run that ROM a couple days ago until i recently switched to Simply Honey but the scores are just TOOOO low i never ran test on MIUI only problem i had with that ROM is that it had the Ios which I'm not very fond of

I'm getting 2100+quadrant scores with stock deodexed kb5 with the lockscreen and shutdown screen mods with the EDT init.d tweaks and the latest zipalign script from darky and Bali 1.2ghz kernel. It's as snappy as any other rom out there and it looks totally stock and everything works, did a little add/remove with bloater too.

fastest
In my experiences with roms the smoothest and fastest rom was miui revamped le6 using glitch kernel v11 highleakage. quads at 2900+ have yet to hit 3000. linpack at 24mfps. all at 1.4ghz. but on the downside battery lasts around 6 hrs of medium use, gps is iffy and theres no dlna or tv out.

Bionix with Overstock! FTW

Juwe smart edition with talon kernel.

[Q] CM7 vs. OMFGB vs. ThunderBread

Im using Cm7 and I have used OMFGB. I didn't notice any significant differences between them in speed, stability, or battery. What are you guys running. Im a fan of the CM7 kernel as the GPU (and FPS) scores are great. Getting 46 fps in nenamark and 26 using leanKernel. Other than the kernel how are they different. I've been to all their respected websites but am undecided. Suggestions?
I tried thunderbread and it was nice aesthetically, but I went back to cm7 with kangbang kernal. Only problem I have with cm7 is the super low call volume.
Thunderbolt CM7 Kang Bang
i left CM7 because my 4g would still flip out occassionally. havent used omfb though.
I'm using liquid thunder bread with imoseyon kernel 3.3.7 and its running great.
I am running OMFGB 7-16 with imo AOSP kernel 3.5.2 (extreme + interactiveX). Very stable and easy switch 3g or 4g. Running very solid!
Omfgb. Nuff said.

[Q] Need a good ROM!

Im wanting a ROM that runs fairly fast and has very many "goodies" such as a mix between cyanogenmod and bumblebee. The reason is because i like to have a fast phone but get bored with my ROMs very easily! Is there a rom out there or is any developers out there working on one right now?! All answers are appreciated
Yeah here is a good one for you: http://www.google.com/cse?q=optimus...ub-2900107662879704:fs7umqefhnf&ie=ISO-8859-1
Just get IHO/BACKside CM7.1, it's being actively developed and runs fairly stable with lots of features.
Please don't make threads like this. Read the threads on the ROMs like the rest of us do.
Try the Megatron ROM It is the fastest and most stable ROM I've ever used

since the OP mentioned bumblebee, he is talking about roms for the optimus v.
@OP, do not flash megatron for your phone
I don't know if it has many "goodies", but I'm using Harmonia 1.6 with a Xionia AnyKernel 14 with a button swapper, giving me Harmonia working with my S screened OV, and it's working amazingly for me so far
Miks 2.3.8 or sonygenmod or cyanogenmatt v1.1 with fserve kernel or Franco's kernel.-+- amazingly fast, snappy loaded with battery life and features..

I'm pretty sure that OP is talking about the Optimus V, I suggest trying out MiRaGe. It has BobZombie's latest kernel, it runs smoothly, the battery life is great, and it gets updated pretty often probably every couple of days something new for it gets released.

[Q] What's the lightest, and most Stable rom for the Vibrant?

I just picked up a Vibrant, coming from a sprint htc hero, and I'm looking for some opinions on what rom would work best for me.
My main concerns are;
-Stability
-Speed
-working GPS
-battery life (doesn't have to be great, but I don't want to charge twice a day either)
I'm willing to go without some customization options if it means a more stable and fast experience. The phone is currently on the stock 2.1 so my guess is anything will be an improvement. What do you guys suggest?
Simply Honey 5.1 w/ 1.2 Bullet kernel. Badass Rom \m/
I'm having the best succuss to date with Simpply honey, 5.1.
Some users find that the GPS may never be stable, others don't have any issues.

Any thoughts on the battery life on simply honey? I seem to remember reading some real gripes on the battery use.
Project V with immortality or dead horse kernel is BEAST. It's been running stable for the past 2 weeks.

I haven't ran across toxic7 yet, I'll have to check it out.
I think many will agree, Bionix 1.3.1 is one of the most stable roms created for the vibrant. Pair that up with an undervolted kernel, such as bali, overstock, or superdragon_modz, and you got yourself stability heaven with decent battery life and GPS. My $.02. I'll include the links if you want to check them out.
Rom - Bionix 1.3.1
Kernel - SuperDragon_MODZ
Kernel - Bali
Kernel - Overstock

My vote goes to Bi-winning V3. Its super smooth and fast with zero issues. Battery life is good, and it comes with the Bullet kernel that is capable of over clocking if your into that.
I started with Axura, went to bionix - both ran fine. GPS got within 60 feet on average. Hey - a garmin it ain't -
Tried a few GB ROMs, but since GB isn't 'out' for t959, I had concerns re: compatibility to the phone itself using a ported rom. Un-bricking is not how I want to spend my time!
Currently using ToXiC 8 with Immortality kernel and Clean and Shiny theme. Fast. Stable. Using it since day 1 and no rom-related fc's. I tried the scripts jcc provided, but couldn't really see a difference. Battery life after calibration is great. I can use it all day without reservations. GPS will lock quickly, however no matter what ROM I've used, GPS always under-reports highway speed by ~2mph. After applying fixes that Jcc suggests, this phone is great.
Hope this helps.

[ASK] Best ROM n Kernel for OC

did anyone knows best rom and kernel combination for OC depends on performance and life battery??
thx
Infected eternity ROM with infected anthrax kernel is my favorite
Sent from my 3vo
I have been using eternity + infected as well. A reboot or two here and there but otherwise pretty much flawless. Battery life and performance at a great balance.

i tried that combo and it works good but noticed that my wi-fi wont scan?
I've tried just about all of them and I've found the ones with the "cutesy" names like "Osmosis", "Diphtheria", "AIDS", and so on are unreliable at best. I run CleanROM 2.9.5 with the bcblend kernel and I OC to 1.72Ghz. I get benchmark scores as good as the tricked out, tweaked ROM's and often faster... with better battery life.
Mike
I've been running Viper ROM, and have run with three current kernels. Currently running kernel integrated with ROM.

Which rom for performance?

Hi all,
I don't care for battery life what so ever, I have a charger at work and one at home.
If im out and about then im out and not on my phone.
I want outright performance and stability from my Int S3, which rom & kernel package would you all recommend?
Edit: I'm not saying the phone is slow, just theres a beacon of roms and kernels out there and I'd like to take advantage of the fastest/most stable.
My main concern is live wallpaper/clock/UI redraw. My dalvik is set to 192 and I'm using Nova launcher but when I exit an intense game like Sonic my live waller paper or clock disappears.
The 2 big boys atm I believe are Cyanogen with the nightly builds of CM9 and Omega with their 7th Release.
Personally I've been a cyanogen fan since my android days started and will continue to be so.
Thanks mate, I am also a fan of CM, I run their rom on my HTC DZ. But I'm going to wait for them to perfect the rom.
I have to say I'm impressed with Omega 7, I wasn't a fan of 6 but 7 seems super smooth.
My scores on Antutu & Quadrant have increased.
Antutu 1xx increase.
Quadrant a nice 2xx increase.
For performance use cyanogen mod with a supported custom kernel like siyah kernel.
