that's because it is a Sense ROM... it goes in system/customize/resource
set permissions to rw-r--r-- and reboot phone

hmmm based on past experience i think the order is like this
Root for SU,
-- Using root explorer
find bootanimation.zip
rename to 'bootanimationRGEGDXFGDRGH.zip'
copy new bootanimation.zip to same location
Reboot
Enjoy
Just look for your original bootanimation.zip file or whatever its called in this instance of it.
I just dont wanna hear "MOBILICITY!!!!" everytime my phone boots up

Just rename the file to downanimation.zip and use root explorer. Works for V.U

Thanks bro it worked. I'm trying out Rafyvitto's Bliss 3.5 with this. Boot and down animations work, just have to put "htc_" in front.

Awesome...I forgot to tell people that. Whatever your boot animations name is on your ROM, then that's what you name it.

You need to rename it to downanimation.zip then with root explorer copy it to the correct path. Replace the previous one and change permissions to rw-r-r then reboot.

I believe I did it all correct, are the permissions set correctly, I included a s/s to show the settings. Let me know, thanks.

Just do this....In the permissions, select
Owner : Read & write only
Group : Read only
Others : Read only
Now reboot......
