Nice work pulling these all into one thread. I'm still using the "skull" splash from several months ago, may try a few of these out.
Good deal man . Thanks
I'm gonna send you my iwhat splash LOL

thanks for getting them together, ive been using the htc/google one since we finally got rootz
No problem guys.
I just wanted a splash thread that wouldn't be forgotten because its harder for newer users to find them.
And people don't switch splash screens too often so the threads aren't as updated.

Just had a conversation with notsointeresting, he said he'll work on it for you. Should have it posted once he gets back from "vacation" on the 10th.
Notsointeresting is it possible for a splash screen of your mother exposing her breasts with my name written on them? Kidding.
Looks nice dude
all credit goes to original poster - all you ahve to do is swap the android-info.txt in the files with zips from those for the shift.
voila!

not sure - all this zip includes is the splash img and shouldn't mess with anything.

just wanted to let you guys know that http://www.xda-developers.com/android/call-of-android-boot-animation/ this does work on Cyanogen's CM7 ROM.
I used pushed it to the /system/media and it worked perfectly. I used Android Commander.. .
but i just thought i'd throw it out there.
I flashed this a while back when my buddy wanted me to put it on his evo. It lasted about 3 reboots before I was like....ehh, enuff!! I keep ending up going back to the android zap apple one. Its got such a clean and crisp look to it.
Thanks for the post though. I am sure there will be plenty of people that like this

I don't care about boot sounds so i cannot comment on that. I've not done anything to "make it work".
Yeah, no sound on my end, just checking if that is the case for everyone else
can't decide between this one and his HALO Reach one, I did pull the "We Are Android" image out of the HALO one to use as my splash screen. the dude did an awesome job on these. just gotta try and get him to do an AC2 or AC: Brotherhood one now.

yeah it was put up the Dev (I think) and I know the sound works with the DHD and DZ ports.
edit: yeah I knew it was posted with the sound so I was trying to find that one.
kind of funny side note... parked my big rig for the weekend and the wife saw me on the computer and said "can't you do something normal like playing your Assassin's Creed or God of War instead of geeking it up with the phones all the time" lol
Aight. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have dowloaded the flashable zips but when I try flashing them from recovery but it wont let me.

You do not flash a bootanimation.zip. You have to place it in the system. Depending on the rom you are running, there are 2 different places you could have to place it
In the second post I said flashed but I meant pushed/placed .

most likely the speed of the animation is to slow. you can try to readjust it or try reflashing it.
I was able to replace to Moto logo on the droid x wiht an app. is there any way to do the same with the htc logo on startup?
There's a thread round here somewhere for custom splash screens. Search it out.

Is there any way to remove a custom splash screen? I have an Evo 3D, and instead of naming it PG86IMG.zip, in named it PG86IMS.zip. It worked but want to take it off.

Bump - Don't suppose anyone's found that stock screen? It's gonna be hard to take mine back for repair without it. Thanks a lot!
I was looking for the same thing. I had a problem with my phone yesterday and wanted to revert back to original. I wish that everyone that posted splashscreens would post the original stock one in their thread just in case something happens. I fixed the problem with my phone myself, but would still like to know the original splashscreen is there if I need it.
If you dl steeleH rom I think you can find it there. Its just renamed.

On the thunderbolt it could be done via a fastboot with "fastboot flash splash1 splashimage.img" or something along those lines if I recall correctly....anyone given something like that a try?

Yes, that is how it's done. I can't comment on S-On but I haven't been able to get nbimg tool to work on 720x1280 res. No problem when I did my EVO 3D (obviously only 540x960). When I run it, it crashes (makes a splash.bmp.nb, just a little scared to try and flash it since i'm unsure).
can't wait for this either, i want my android pissing on the apple once again. sometimes i turn on my incredible just to see it. lmao
I'm guessing there is an issue with nbimg, where the .bmp has to be smaller than 2MB...

which one are you referring to? Both are pretty smooth on mine but on rare occasions I notice it will hesitate. I"m guessing its just the loading of the files that's causing it.
