Thanks

It isn't listed on Samsung's site so even if it is a 2000mah battery it isn't official, could also be a re-branded 1650mah battery or just a fake.
From the pictures it seems genuine.

Hello xda. I have bought the awesome SGS3, I don't have any problems with it, hopefully you don't have either.
I was checking out cases and covers when I stumbled around batteries such as :
1 x 4300MAH Extended Battery
1 x Back Cover
1 x Battery Charger
or
3X GOLD 2850mah High Capacity Battery For Samsung Galaxy S III 3 i9300 + Charger
I am interested in he 4300mAh battery, do you think it's legit or is it a scam? Is it worth buying?
Thanks guys!
My 2p worth: If it sounds too good to be true... You'll also lose NFC capabilities since that's built in the battery.
There's a 3rd party batteries thread in the accessories section though I haven't looked through it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1691085

Hello,
I bought an extra battery for my Galaxy S3 from eBay (UK Seller, just to be on the safe side) and it recently arrived.
On the details page it's mentioned that the battery is genuine, but how can I check this?
Here's the sale link on eBay: link.
Thanks.

From what I can say from the video, it looks like a S3 mini. It isn't as vertically long as an S3. Have you tried checking the model number in the settings? There's a possibility that the sticker might be wrongly sticked on. Second, the mah tells you how much charge the battery can hold, how long the battery can last. For my phone, the numbers did not match either. As long as it can fits, assume it can work. Unless the batteries is fake, you shouldn't worry so much. Yes, its safe for you to buy the S3 wall charger. I always mix the chargers for my phones, like using the Tab 2 charger to charge my Note 2. If you're still unsure, you can go to a shop and have a check. See if its the same size as the S3 mini there. There's a chance that it could be those fake china phones.
