Hi,
I do not like the battery life of my HTC TD2 and want to buy spare battery.
However on the HTC site only spare battery is provided without additional charger.
On the other hand is mother Ebay. $20 for charger +2 batteries + screen cover.
(Yes, I know it is quite suspicous regarding the price. But guys, do you think that these powersellers will sell something so untested...)
Has anyone tried such cheap batteries from ebay?
Or has anyone tried this set??
Hello xda. I have bought the awesome SGS3, I don't have any problems with it, hopefully you don't have either.
I was checking out cases and covers when I stumbled around batteries such as :
1 x 4300MAH Extended Battery
1 x Back Cover
1 x Battery Charger
or
3X GOLD 2850mah High Capacity Battery For Samsung Galaxy S III 3 i9300 + Charger
I am interested in he 4300mAh battery, do you think it's legit or is it a scam? Is it worth buying?
Thanks guys!
My 2p worth: If it sounds too good to be true... You'll also lose NFC capabilities since that's built in the battery.
There's a 3rd party batteries thread in the accessories section though I haven't looked through it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1691085

It may not be listed, but if it works in other G3 variants it will work in the D851.

It should work with that variant, if you can get it I highly recommend it, it doesn't overcharge the batteries therefore maintains a better health in the long run. It may not say your variant because I think its a USA LG G3, and I am in the UK and they listed the most popular variants here. If such problems you can always return, should be 100% ok.
I'm confused... Why don't you just get another original battery... ?
I got that original battery from Amazon for $11 shipped and it work great. NFC is working too. I thought all those third party batteries NFC will not work.

NFC is not built into the battery on the G3. It's in the sticker on the back cover.

I don't know what country you're in but here in Spain we have Amazon: batería acumulador original LG BL-53YH EAC6237870 Li-Ion para LG D855 G3 https://www.amazon.es/dp/B00MEUQZGW/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_8UxXub1RMT9CZ
And eBay (here are a few links)

I'm thinking about ordering the Anker 3000mAh Li-ion Battery, but I'm also considering getting (preferably) the, Perfine 3000mAh OEM Li-ion Battery, because they both have IC Chips but,
the Perfine has IC Chip states it has all these features; "prevents short circuiting, overcharging, overheating and lengthens battery life"
the Anker IC Chip only states its features; "prevents overcharging & prevent short-circuiting"
BUT in the Perfine info at Amazon it says -Without NFC functionality.
AND I have My LG G3 which has the OEM cover, with GPS/NFC parts embedded into the back.
So my questions are this;
1.)Do all IC Battery Chips have all the same great features, and they just didn't state all the features on their Amazon page? Or Does the Perfine IC Battery Chip really have more IC features?
2.)My LG G3 has the OEM cover,GPS/NFC parts embedded into the back. Do I need a NFC/GPS battery for NFC/GPS to work? Or will my cover be all I need?
3.)If my OEM Cover is all I need will my GPS/NFC take a performance hit?

I think reading thru the reviews from both should give you a clue on which one to get (hint: the one with more reviews) :good:
I've used Ankers in 3 of my phones, and all have been stellar.
Any suggestions for replacement batteries you can get in the UK? Bought one from MobyMemory and that was worse than my 2 year old battery. I think it is a fake battery as it doesn't have the holes in the second 'tooth'.

I have bought two batteries recently in the UK for my stock LG G3 (D855), one from Amazon and one from Ebay both batteries do not work and I get 'Invalid battery - shutting down' with both. If you look on Alibaba you will see a large number of fakes on sale and and I think these are just re-sold on the likes of Amazon or EBay UK.
Interestingly, both batteries were shipped by Royal Mail Post and that is apparently illegal.
I do not know, but I am getting the impression that there is now something in the firmware that can detect these fake batteries and reject them. Also I do not think Anker sell their replacement battery in the UK.
Also, some of these fake batteries are known to swell and damage the phone (see reviews on Amazon uk).
A genuine LG G3 battery can be had via the recommened LG supplier http://www.4lg.co.uk/product.pl?pid=5148198 though at 27.91 + shipping it is expensive.
A genuine battery will have a white spot, otherwise it is a fake?
I am curious to know if by updating the kernel in some way there may be a way to still use the cheaper after market batteries?
If you make a major discovery about UK sourcing then let us know.
Not sure how to spot a fake battery but read somewhere that the connector teeth are supposed to have holes in them.
Where is the white mark supposed to be on the battery? next to the connecting teeth (or whatever the golden things are called)
I have ordered a 3800mah battery from mboynow as it seems to have the marks on the teeth and is made by the seller. They also pay for the return which I thought was good. (cant post links as I am a newbie)
I'll report back when I get it. Most amazon reviews are positive but not all.

If you look on the second image shown on this link http://www.4lg.co.uk/product.pl?pid=5148198
you will see a white dot to the left of the 4 contacts - this is a sign of a genuine battery.
It is a shame we cannot get the same prices as in the USA as official batteries are only $15
What version of firmware are you running? (goto - settings->General-> About phone -> software info -> software version) - I would expect to see V30n-EUR-XX for the UK running android 6.0
I thought that dot was a sign of water damage. I have two original LG G3 batteries supplied by LG. One has an orange spot and the second a white.
I run v30a-234-20.
Battery dispatched so hopefully I can report back soon.
Got the battery last saturday and it gives about 12-14 h of life so not as good as the original battery when I got the phone. It still seems to hold the charge quite ok but I was expecting it to last more than a day as it is 3800 rather than 3000. Will compare it to my old battery tomorrow and see what the difference is. Alas it didn't resolve the problem I had with the phone randomly restarting.
Has anyone tried these?

Im Thinking of buying either one.
Hey everyone, been looking for a decent mobile battery that supports Quick Charge 2.0. The Qualcomm site lists only a single certified battery pack, the Ape Technologies MP5200Q (ape-battery.com/ljz/EnProductShow.asp?ID=221) which is only 5200 mAh and no where to be found on Amazon. The battery pack I'm thinking about picking up is the Aukey Quick Charge 2.0 10000mAh battery pack available at amazon.ca/Aukey-10000mAh-Portable-External-Supported/dp/B00S0OHKII/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top, which claims to support it while details about the charger does not specify if it's using a certified controller while emails with Qualcomm asking if this item is certified have gone unanswered.
Currently have a couple 10,000 mAh battery packs which are okay for charging my daughter's Nexus 5, it does a poor job at charging my Nexus 6 and I want to upgrade.
Searching XDA, found people asking for reviews of the Aukey battery pack or mentioning they want to buy one but at the time of posting it was not in stock at Amazon. There is one review on the Amazon site which gave the battery pack 2/5, which definitely sounds like a true review and not a paid advertisement, for not an ideal amount of charging power.
Is there anyone with any suggestions of their own, or maybe experience with this battery pack compared to other 10,000 mAh packs, before I jump on this one?
Thanks in advanced!
I was looking for a new battery to buy on aliexpress and saw some 2200mAh batteries, do they really work? I know that to achieve this much i might have to give up nfc but ive necer used it anyway.
For sure they will work, I'm not sure about the nfc...
