'I won't be impressed unless he does some work for the View. I'm already dissapointed in the lack of View support from Htc, Sprint. I thought there would be a little more love from the XDA devs but I was wrong. Only one rom and they are exactly the same devices accept for the 4g portion.

I was a big fan too, cause he actually made that ish work. I did a quick search and I see he's in the Sensation and Sensation XL sections with some Sense 3.5 ROMs. His sig says cooking for Sensation, EVO 3D, EVO 4G and so on, but I'm not finding any threads for anything other than the Sensation devices when it comes to android. Then again I only did a quick search on XDA.
I talked to nrgz a few weeks ago and he said he was planning on an evo3D rom, but these things take time. I would say if you guys are interested PM him and ask if you can beta test. Maybe he'll fire something up?

He was cooking something up for the evo3d a few months agn twitter he needed a tester I then replied to that messsage.He sent me a rom he was working on and I couldn't get it to boot.He said to me that's what he thought might happen and I haven't heard from him since lol...

I have had the 3vo for quite a few months now, and think that the time has come to finally root and flash some good stuff, but was wondering what would be the best rom to flash. I know that its better to try out a couple to see which one suits me best, but I would like to skip all the hassle of experimenting with many roms, and just go straight to the ones that others are using and are happy with. So what rom are you all using, and would you recommend that over the rest? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. I should have mentioned this before, but its cdma.
I don't know if your gsm or cdma but from the gsm side of things I have tried most. Leedroid is always the one I come back too. It's stable has loads of support and great tweaks thanks to Jan and daniels and also some good theme options. The best imo.

If youre looking for a great "Senceless/ASOP" rom.... MIUI
a great full featured closer to stock looking Sence 3.0 rom.....Wildshooter or CleanRom
a great tweaked and themed rom.....Warm 2.3 is the only way to go
or a great Sence 3.5 rom....JoelZ's Prime XL 3G
of course, there are more choices but these IMO are the best hands down and of course others will have different opinions
Fresh 4.0.6 is a great daily rom. Very close to stock with some extras but runs without issues and fully functioning.

It's got a lot of awesome stuff built in like beats audio and sony bravia hd..
I like mine with a blue zeus theme instead of the default red but if you follow the instructions to flash it, everything will work.. don't skip out on the instructions tho because everyone who skips the wiping the cash and data parts because they think they are too smart ends up having troubles later.
Thanks a lot for your input. This sure narrows down the list. I will try them out and see which I like best. From what I have seen MIUI looks awesome, but the camera isn't functional, which is something that really comes in handy this time of the year.

i'am thinking to change my DHD with EVO 3D ... but i didn't use it before so i haven't any experience about it only his Specifications,photos and videos.
just want to know is there is a big different between them in performance?
and what about the 3D tech in videos, photos and games is it really interesting ?

Having a Desire HD, i know what you mean, and i always wanted an EVO 3D from the off, but since having it i'm finding the development a little lacking, there's some great dev's here don't get me wrong, but opposed to the DHD, it's just not a comparison, the DHD got a lot of attention, something which you'll miss if you make the switch to EVO3D, sorry to put it to you like that, but it's true.
It's up to you at the end of the day and i wouldn't swap my EVO i just thought i'd tell you what i think of it.
Personally given the choice i would go for the XE Sensation. Or wait for the ville, which i believe is going to be heavily developed for.

Now besides the point if it were me this time of yr would be the worst time to get a phone. New stuff will be out within a few months that's even better. Also I wouldn't buy a non LTE device right now either less you were okay being on short stick in future...

The problem is the 3d camera! plain and simple, it's going to cause developing problems, problems which don't seem to be troubling the sensation thread, nor the DHD thread. That's what i mean, plus developers like Coredroid and RCMIX, and P3D are not present on the EVO3D, plus most of the threads are still on release one.
The one's which aren't haven't moved much, they're trying, they really are, but there's usually a lot more dev's on the phone's that i've had that's all, not having a go, it's just a fact.

Umm take those 3 devs and ill give you many more here that do magical things!!! Only thing sensation has over the 3D is the build leaks it gets and all...
Most threads on release one? Now I know your not looking. What do you mean by not moving much? Makes no sense at all. Again I'm not seeing anything that isn't offered here that you could want besides fully working ICS/CM9 but that will come with source as always anyways...4G doubtfull but everything else will come along.
I might have to retract that all if ur talking about gsm version only as I don't follow that side as much and know there are not as many threads there, so if that's the case then so be it...

and to the OP, are you CDMA or GSM?
all the threads are on RLS1... well lets see.... off the top of my head the first one that comes to mind is myns warm ROM.

i myself was a dhd owner ..now using 3d. and must say i like it alot. plus 3d pics+dual core+better resolution+1gb ram. for day to day use this is the best. but if you are interested in roms then its still a good choice but not better than sensation as the guys covered it had more ruu leaks and doesnt suffer from developing the 3d function. but i love the 3d

i wan thinking about the sensation too, but i'm afraid because i read in some reviews it gets hot and here in summer i guess it would be a real problem
as for the performance i guess both the sensation (xe or not) and the evo 3d are almost identical

As explained in many posts, the flyer is expected to get an htc release of ICS... but the view has yet to be mentioned and is currently EOL via sprint, so the chances of an htc release is slim.

mostly, but the flyer has a gsm radio and the view has a cdma radio. flashing one to the other is only good for bricking.

That's not quite the only difference. They have a different chipset too.
As for ICS, eventually, but seeing as how the view only just got HC 3 months ago I wouldn't count on any official (HTC) builds hitting us until the end of the year IMO. If i'm wrong, i'm wrong.

I have heard nothing but rumors. Flyer is not on any list the HTC has published or endorsed.
I wouldn't expect it.

Wow just reading the blog, so many people are asking about flyer and HTC decided not to include in the ICS roll out.... Fully capable and able device like View/Flyer should be getting it first, I bet they cant integrate the scribe in to it or its taking them a very long time to do it and this is why they are not putting it forward.... This really is a sad day for us HTC flyer/view users
I have faith in God, everyone else must pay up front. LOL
I ve contacted HTC support and confirmed thats there is no scheduled update since now. I think that means we will never see any update for Flyer. HC turned out very buggy I cant even make skype calls, music sounds strage in high volume, flash player plays only via explorer and nowhere else eg fb, and many others. I ve just downgrade to GB and my Flyer is usable again with no bugs till now. ps I ve asked support how to downgrade and they anwered that I just cant. My opinion is that there will be no update even for bugs HTC just dont care for HTC Flyer anymore they consider it as a dropped project.
As the title ask's, do you think it'll ever work?
I don't know if anyone is actively working on 3D for sense 4 but for me it's the only thing missing.
If our phones weren't 3D then we'd already have our daily rom, problem is, we do have 3D phones.
Any ideas or news about progress anywhere?

who needs the 3d feature anyway! its pointless and it sucks!!! i love my evo 3d just for the dual core and the rom great developments! other than that i would still be on evo 4G! #sense 4.0 don't 3d feature!!!
Dladz to answer your question, I personally think it's possible. Album for sure, we can port the original sense 3.6 album because It's the same android base(and then theme it like sense 4). Camera is a bit more difficult, because we want the Sense 4 Camera layout. So somebody has to rewrite the whole camera stuff for getting a 3D mode. Unfortunately people like Igor who really knew how to do it are no more in the forum. So the only hope we have is that some guys like mdeejay take their time and get the things working. But It's definitely not impossible, It's more a question of effort.

As I know there will ne a update to ICS for evo 3d soon. And ai prety sure that it will be on sense 4.0 because some leak rom out there base on same firmwave with sense 4.0 . But not 100% sure .
Other think that ics camera have mutilshot. For evo 3d because of saving on sd card so, so the speed could not be fasr like htc one x ( it save on the phone store ). So what happen with 3d mutilshot. . It must be really slow.
As my opinion, the developer can do anything on the decive,. If htc give them source. Sometime, they even do not need any help to do like the htc hd2 case. It can use dual os by tricking the device start with android in sd card. It was legend.

I know there will be an update for the EVO 3D but it won't include sense 4 to my knowledge, we will only get sense 3.6, which is where the problem lies, moving 3D over to sense 4 has proven to be a bit of a problem.
As for multishot, it's a feature of the software and not really something which i think i'd use anyway.
Zoom camera has a burst feature which works just fine by the way, so if you wanted to use burst then download zoom.

I read somewhere, that HTC will not public surce codes for camera.
That's maybe the biggest problem...
Well I know Agrabren has a working camera on his personal build of Cm9. This will eventually work it's way into Digital High's MIUI port. But it still has a way to go and he is not ready to release anything. So that being said, I am sure DEV's will get it worked in eventually. Have faith.
Well i think mwakious probably has the skills to work on camera. i am not sure but have been using his ROMs(Sense 3.6) nd he keeps fiddling with the camera so am pretty sure he has some knowledge. i was willing to ask him to work on a sense 4 ROM but m new here. Although i have been rooting and using custom ROMs for quite some time now and just wanted to thank all the devs so i thought i shud join xda too. I am using mwakious3drom v8.1 and love his work. unfortunately its very sad to know what mwakious and other italians are going through these days. m sure if mwakious has the time to look into a sense 4 ROM he will succeed. Any one of you who can reach him do give it a shot i am new here so i cant post on his thread.
Yea there's definitely some talent on XDA, enough to fix 3D.
I guess we'll just see, I have faith in the dev's, i'm just an impatient sod and wanted to know if someone knew something that i didn't.

Yes they are I've got Avatar on my phone and although that it won't work on virtuous (sense 4) it did work perfectly on 3.6 roms.
It's a great feature to have and i have no idea why anyone would buy an EVO 3D for any other reason, yea it's got a slightly faster processor than the sensation and a little bit more ram but in all honesty the sensation hold's it's own in every department, including 2D pictures which are amazing.
