Hello, some thoughts on the following please:
I have an android phone and the galaxy tab.
I would like to sync the built in calendar between the two devices.
First point to note: I am not using the cloud, even though this would solve my problem.
At the moment I am syncing my htc phone via htc sync to ms outlook.
Then via kies down to the galaxy.
Yes, not ideal.
So, I had the following thought:
I tried mybackup pro and backed up calendar on phone.
Transferred the file to the galaxy (I can automate this part.on schedule)
Again using mybackup pro on the galaxy, I would then restore.
Problem...when restoring it said that it will restore to gmail....which is not what I wanted.
Again forget about gmail calendar, can anyone advise another way of achieving this?

Hi All
I currently have a Diamond and am due for an upgrade and am seriously thinking about the Hero.
I've looked around the various forums but can't seem to find the answer to my question. When changing between Win Mo Pro phones I could easily backup contacts, calender, text messages, emails etc using PPCbackup.
Is there a program that will allow a backup from WinMoPro and restore it onto the Andriod system?
I know I can backup the contacts and calender using outlook 2003 and squirt them over the Hero using the HTC Sync program but not sure about anything else? It would be very helpful to have my text messages sent on the Hero as alot of work communication is sent that way.
Help much appreciated
Ed
You send your outlook contacts to your googlemail account. google backs then all up, so as soon as you sign in (say after a wipe) they all come back to the phone as before.
There is also various backup aps as well.
can you not sync ur winmo phone to an exchange server then sync ur android one too.
also theres a app called windows mobile sms migrator. http://android.modaco.com/content/software/288916/windows-mobile-sms-migrator-beta-1/
Well if all your contacts are in Outlook the HTC sync software just simply pulls the contacts from Outlook.

My contacts and calender aren't the issue but thanks for replying, it the SMS messages I'm more concerned about.
I'll upgrade and give the modaco app a try and see how I get on.
It would of course be nice to see migration software that'll squirt everything across in one go that would indeed be a shot across the bow's for windows lol.
Thanks for the replies everyone
Hey everyone,
I was just curious if you use color note?
And if you do, where does it sync with google?
My phone successfully syncs and all my notes appear, but when I go to my google account or my gmail, I can't find the notes anywhere.
I know you can back up to the SD card, but it's when I sync to google I can't find them there.
i'm wanna know too
somebody....
proprietary sync
It syncs to ColorNote's servers but only uses google to authenticate/log you in. You cannot access your notes online but they claim to be working on a desktop client.

Official information :
I signed up for online sync service with Google account (Facebook account). Are my notes be synced to Google (Facebook)?
ColorNote's online sync service is not synchronized with Google (Facebook). The Google (Facebook) account is used only for authentication when signing into ColorNote. This feature lets you avoid having to create and remember a separate ID/password just for ColorNote.
I signed up for online sync service. Can I access my notes from a PC?
Currently ColorNote online sync service supports only mobile devices. We are looking into developing a web service so that you can access notes online.
I changed devices. How can I restore the notes on the new device?
You can transfer notes saved on the previous device to the new device using SD card backup or Online sync service. In particular, online sync service is recommended. Choose one method from the following four methods depending on your situation.

And millions agree with you.
ColorNote is the Best Note taker in Android,
but even though C.Note has talked about coming up with a PC Sync since 4 years back
nothing has actually happened...
So keep hoping.
none of the above responses helps. i synchronized my colornotes online and i cant find them on my gmail (where i thought it was saved to). How practically will I get my notes back now, please i really have to get them back
Color note sync
Syncing with Google drive means that when you log into your Google account on a second !mobile device you will find color note on the second device contains all your entries.
What would like to know if Google can know the password you use as I didn't need to input it in to my second device.
I use a Nexus 7 and a Motoe. I can make an entry in either device hit sync a and it appears in the other device.
Cheers
Pain in the neck!
Was this issue ever resolved?
You'd think it wouldn't be This difficult trying to transfer my notes from my old phone (Galaxy s3) to my new one (s5)
Like the OP, I tried the sync thing with my Google acct & when I looked for it, I didn't find a thing.
I also tried:
-Bump/NFC beaming & it *did* transfer the CNote app but minus any of my actual notes.
-Evernote & all *that* did was negate my CNote app! As if I'd uninstalled it.
Closest I got was getting an SD card, backing up to that, then emailing that data to myself so I could download it to my laptop (pc) & eventually put into the CNote app on the new phone. But, of course, another dead end when I opened the file, all I saw was a bunch of insane gibberish. It apparently was in Word 97-2003 ."doc" format.
I'm thinking maybe the version of CNote I had on the old phone is different from the one on the new.
Someone here in this thread said CNote is "the Best Note taker in Android." Not sure I believe that. I *do* love its simplicity & clarity, but for the users like myself who are griping here, when it comes to doing what we need it to do- it sucks. And their customer service is basically non-existent.
I'm about ready to break down & just spend 30 minutes to an hour just emailing each one to myself.
Can someone suggest an equally simple, but FAR more flexible note taking app? Thanks!
If you copy the document (backup) you sent to your email and copy that via a USB cable into your mobile phone directory (storage/emulated/0/data/colornote) or phone/data/colornote as it is shown in windows structure. Than inside Colornote (Settings/ backup) you will be able to see this backup. Click on it and view you will see all your notes.
I don't see how you can restore it but that could be related that I don't have any changes between the current version and my backup.
Hope this helps

HEY.... For all of you who are concerned about the case: How to back up and restore data in ColorNote for Android?
The following explanation helped me:
The thing is what if you’re changing phones or transferring data from one device to another? You will definitely need to back up your phone data and that, of course, includes the data that you’ve saved using ColorNote. You need to have ColorNote app in the new device and get access to it via Online Sync, and automatically it restores all of you notes that were there in the old device.
Lost in Space
I have a question since I have no idea where my personnel information is going "SERVER" is there a way to delete your information from this so called server????
My nexus tablet was stolen and my notes are locked on my surface pro. How can I unlock them on the surface pro?
Windows 10 App for Color Note
If you have a PC with Windows 10 you can download a Color Note App for access on that computer.
Colornote Sync deletes my data
- I inadvertently deleted all my notes
- Easily restored them using my internal backup
- Problem is when I turn sync back on it deletes all my notes
- I believe it is looking to the cloud as the most current status, seeing it empty (since I deleted everything) and syncing all that emptiness to my phone, erasing my freshly restored notes.
- How can I get sync properly operational again ?
Thanx !
The fault is the mocosoft
THE QUESTION IS : WHERE ARE THE DATAAAAAAAAAAA ????????? !!!!!!!!!!!!
My answer is : colornotes is Microsoft application ( in Spanish MOCOsoft sheet industry )
AND YOUR DATA IS IN MOCOSOFT ENTERPRISE ( of corse : very very and very protected )))
I waiting comments

i managed to sync my ColorNotes using gmail ..
apparently Google places the Notes in the [Trash] section of the Google Drive linked to your gmail =D
classic google ..
Simply install ColorNotes app on your PC. Log in using your google account. All your notes are stored there. Just did it myself and it works like charm...
I was wondering if anyone out there has suffered and resolved the following issue.
I have a Sensation which is running ICS version 4.0.3 and software number 3.32.401.5 the ROM I’m currently using is found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1529941 the deodexed version.
I use this phone for work and up until 2 weeks ago everything was working without issues but for some unknown reason all of a sudden, HTC Sync has stopped working. I’m now unable to Sync my work calendar to my phone and since the office are often updating my diary via a CRM package I need these changes to be reflected on my phone. I know it’s not the HTC Sync program, as I have the sync software installed on 3 machines. My home laptop, my work laptop and my work desktop and the phone no longer syncs to any of them. I’ve installed and reinstalled (and before anyone asks antivirus was turned off ), still no joy.
Does anyone one know what might have gone wrong or does anyone know of a different app or program I can use to update the calendar? I did try Google calendar sync but that just didn’t sync, no matter what sync interval I used.
I must add I’m only trying to get my outlook appointments to show up on my phone I don’t need a 2 way sync solution.
Thanks in advance for any help and advice given.
Hi, I just received my Samsung Galaxy S3 in the mail today. I was using HTC Desire HD before. I was wondering how do I transfer everything such as contacts, sms, picture, app and etc from my HTC Desire HD before reseting my Desire HD to factory settings (I wish to resell it). Please advise thanks. I never rooted and don't plan to root my phones =).
Titanium backup.
use the export xml feature to export your sms/mms, call logs, & wifi hotspot configs
use the app backup feature to backup all your apps (mainly the data), then moved the backed up files to your s3 and restore it from there.
use your phone app to export your contacts as a vcard then go to your s3 and import vcard.
Titanium backup is the best way but it might have a problem for some user
it requires root
so u might want to consider that before u plan on using it
Google for your contacts is a sensible start
Thanks for the replies. Do I have to root my GS3 too in order to backup everything from Desire HD to GS3?

Yeah, however, how does google understand which one is my main account once I have google account on both devices? Wouldn't it delete everything if I remove account on my Desire HD?
To get really really thorough backups, you need to root the DHD. But I bet you can manage without that. For instance, you can backup call logs and SMS with the "Call Log Backup & Restore" and "SMS Backup & Restore" apps on the android market. You'll need to backup, then install these apps on your new phone and copy the backups to the new phone, then use them to restore.
Your contacts should be part of your google account--you can check by logging into http://contacts.google.com and checking. If they're there, you don't need to worry about backing them up. They will exist on your new phone as soon as you enter your google account information while you're setting up the phone.
I'm not sure how to delete your account from your old phone, but that won't affect your new phone. Just don't delete your contacts--removing an account is not the same as changing the data that belongs to an account.

I makes no odds, the contacts are stored in the cloud! I have two phones, regularly mess with my old S1, if you wipe it you are only wiping the on phone storage, unless you actually delete a contact through contacts on the phone nothing will get deleted from g cloud!
i would suggest you root the dhd so you can use titanium to pull data for you apps as well so any games and apps that you have can easily have their data restored.
and it's also a great app that handles nearly all your backup needs.
root is nothing scary.. it just means you can allow certain programs to access settings that require admin status.
Some answers are just...... Ehhh nvm
Contacts should be stored on your default Gmail account go to settings.... Accounts check which one of our account is syncing contacts
SMS simple answer. SMS backup and restore
Pictures well that should be on your SD card that came with the phone. Same with any other media
Now app data... Without root in think you can forget it. What I normally do is to make a nandroid backup and if need to move this to another phone I use app extractor and restore certain apps I need

sms back up and restore doesn't seem to do mms for me.. maybe i botched something. titanium though, stores it in xml form and can do all the necessary import and export as needed. why get a separate app if titanium is about as close to a one stop shop as it gets for android users...
and really... if you're on xda, why aren't you rooting your phone and enjoying one of thr biggest reason to be here (for me atleast) : to flash different roms that will suite your needs/wants.

I moved over from my desire s without root. It was a bit of a faff but ok I the end.
My apps all restored from the market. The other apps that needed side loading were installed using app saver on my DS and copying the files onto external SD.
I restored my sms with sms backup and restore (I don't use mms as I just e-mail), which was fine.
Contacts were saved to my Google account so downloaded automatically. I think you can export contacts from stock app if you want to do it that way, or use something in the market.
Finally I used angry birds backup to restore my progress.
Hope this helps. I do agree with above though, it will be a lot easier with titanium backup provided you are rooted, but if you have to root and don't mind losing all your app data then it may not be any faster.

Hi There all. new to the site. I just received an elephone p9000 today and when i tried to set it up and sync my contacts and details from my old device to my new one. (had a samsung galaxy s4mini)
It allows me to add my google account and says that it has synced. but when i go to my contacts list there is nothing. it does not ask me if I would like to restore the data from a previous device or anything like that. (I have also tried to setup/restore to a xperia z3 with the same account and it works no problem.) . Also I am having problems finding some freeware to do a simple back up and restore. It seems as if now days you have to pay to do it. this was my backup idea as the syncing was not working.
any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
