oovoo is hidden from the Photon in the market.
However, I was able to take the market .apk from the Droid Bionic and install it on the Photon.
Works perfectly. No issues at all.

Weird, I have upside-down video on two Photons. Fring used to do that but was fixed in a recent update.
Mine did that too. Have to hold phone sideways
Sent from my Photon.
Have to hold the phone in landscape to have correct orientation for video.
It is very weird that most video apps do not show many if any motorola phones. This is my first motorola smartphone and is one of the few disappointments.
Thanks for the link! My camera works vertically. But the other party's video keeps freezing...

Has anyone (who has a participating cable provider) tried the WatchESPN app yet on the Atrix?
I've been trying to use it and so far the video is horrible on both wi-fi and over the air. The video displays colors overlaid on the feed and it is just awful.
Anyone have a similar experience?

I set this up yesterday, and really haven't messed with it too much. I did just try to watch some video over 3g/4g? and it took forever to load, and the video had a big green box when it first started, but then it corrected itself and the video was decent but it was slow to buffer and was choppy and not too enjoyable.
Haven't tried it yet..will install when I get done flashing my Atrix. Have god damn voice quality issues...so doing this one last time...
I had it on my iPhone 4 that I gave to my wife..it was WONDERFUL on there...looked like an HDTV...
i get the same issues as you, both on cell network and wifi. the bottom overlay in particular is always covered in green.
Glad to see it's not just me. I'm wondering if it's just an issue of the app not supporting our chipset yet.
Hopefully one of the updates will correct it eventually.
Yeah I installed it guys, horrible...believe me when I tell you its not even close to the experience on the iPhone...
If the damn iPhone had a replaceable battery I'd go back....
Not my work, found on a different post.

direct download too?
good find bro
Works great thanks
I uploaded it to my dropbox
Thanks for the link! I've tried it and can confirm it does work on wifi at least. Does anyone know if this works on 3g/4g as well?
Also, can the OP also link to the original thread so we can give credit where credit is due?
EDIT: Found what I believe is the original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1148708

thanks for this
thanks it works except i can't see the other person on my phone. and like others has said rear camera doesn't work.but everything else work great thanks again for this great find
video is upside down on evo 3d also theres been a update. ends in 47 instead of 45. anyone working on that?
Seems like the lag is better with the 47 version. Still no back camera. Probably because of the twin cameras and skype is not configured to work with one of the cameras..? The 47 version works 100% (front & back cameras) on the sensation 4g and many other devices.

Tango
I recommend Tango for video calls on the 3D. It works great and syncs contacts flawlessly. It even interops with iPhones.

I have used tango for a long time but it's too laggy and always has been. I've been waiting for Skype video to come to android for a while because i knew the quality would be better and my expectations have been met.

When I search the Android Market for Crackle, it doesn't show up. If I link to the market app from crackle's web site, crackle shows up but there is no install button. If I select the browser-based market instead, it says that crackle is not compatible with my device. Any idea what gives?
Sent from my MB855 using XDA App
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that crackle may not be compatible with the photon
Yeah, thanks for stating the obvious. But it seems odd that an app written for Android 2.2 and later won't run on this phone. I wonder if they have chosen to only allow the app to be installed on phones they have actually tested?
Sent from my MB855 using XDA App
Apps like that tend to have to be compatible with the phone as well not just Android. For example, Netflix first came out and slowly kept adding phones to the list and now is fill 2.2/3 supported. Now this is the downside with picking a phone that is not the "popular" choice even though in my opinion is the better one. Apps like that will get their compatibility for the popular phones first, like Evo 3D. I recall apps working for the Evo 4g but I would have to wait until they fixed them for the Epic.
Hopefully for your case it will be soon as maybe they will do the Bionic and Photon together.
im on aokp 36 and when i try and watch crackle or neflix, i get audio only. you tube works fine, but these 2 apps dont show video. i have uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared data, removed anything with thier names, reinstalled flash, and nothing fixes it.
any one else having this issue?
They won't work until Motorola gives ICS support for Atrix, which won't happen till Q3 in the year. Something wrong with the drivers. Best you can do is clench your teeth and go back to 2.3.x.... but it's not worth it to me, though. Sorry

Damn them. Other than those 2, the ics rom is the ****. I like alot. Thanks for the info. Now its time to clear some junk from the SD and load some movies

That sucks I guess I'll stick to watching stuff on my desktop till then.
I know that its probably for privacy reasons but is there a way to record video during a call? I want to be recording video when i do some spiritual driving but sometimes i happen to be on the phone too. RELAX, i use either bluetooth or speakerphone.
Would it be as simple as flashing a zip file or it runs much deeper than that?
Pretty sure you can use your device normally while on the phone (data is kind of iffy, but camera doesn't need data). Have you tried already?

During a call you can use your phone like normal with a few exceptions. The stock camera app can be launched and you can take pics however the camcorder aspect of it can not be launched. As far as any other camera apps from market place or otherwise I'm not sure.
Nobody knows how or even if its possible?
