Got unlocked and unbranded EVO which I got yesterday
I've had two lockups first when I was updating some apps from market it did quite a few then locked on updating diversion game
Second time I went into quick settings and task manager pressed refresh and it locked
I'm using stock firmware
I've read that some US versions have the "black screen of death" as its being called but can't find out about UK version
Any.idea what is causing it ? What will stop it happening ?

I posted something about my new evo that i bought that was having these random freezes also. I ended up having to get a replacement to get it fixed.
Ah presume yours is US version as you mention 4g I might email HTC to see if still problems with UK version .there US stuff on Google re US version but not UK Thanks

So i was playing with my phone and i noticed that the facebook app changed for me is still 1.6.0 but it changed i have different options now and i didn't even update the app, am i the only one? it looks like the iphones verison now i have way more options and it looks a lot better.
Mine has been on 1.6.0 since it was available, but it is different from now and before. For better.

How did it change? When you updated? Or was the original one different..? I updated to 1.6.0 already and it looks the same minus the new features added with 1.6.0 (video upload) Are you guys talking about the facebook for sense..? I didn't even notice if the stock FB app was pre-installed. I just installed from the market. I wanna say it was NOT..?
Yeah it wasn't. When I first got my 3D I went to activate Facebook and it wasn't there so I downloaded from the market

More changes. The like/comment buttons on the right side are now different. Wonder how they're pushing these changes. Too bad the phone didn't come with Facebook app or that would be a possible exploit.

New update lets us non rooted Evo's take screen shots by holding the power button down and pressing the home button Saves to your gallery....I loved that function about root when I had it so just thought I would share

Got a question, if I got a euro EVO 3d then if i root and flash a different radio will it pick up different signals to better support it here in the USA or am I just stuck on edge??. If not is there any software adjustments that can be made to make it pick up at least 3g??

I was told I have the euro version sobthe radio won't pickup atat here they say I need the Canadian version I thought maybe there was a routable fix but guess not I'll have to call expanses and return it too bad huh!!

You cant software modify it to get AT&T 3G. You need a X515A model number (Rogers) EVO 3D. No way around it.

BTW, anyone with a rogers evo 3d care to send an stock rom or nandroid backup? My seller shipped me the evo 3d with a custom rom, that failed. Really would like stock back.
I just installed an OTA that contains certain security fixes but found out the screen capture (power + home) no longer works. Anyone experience the same?

Yeah I tried applying RUU + OTA update and screen capture is there. Since I am not using custom ROM I need to find out what did I done to the phone hahaha...
Can anyone tell me which apk is responsible for the screen capture function?
EDIT: I give up, I redo all the changes to the ROM after RUU + OTA and power+home capture is still here. Case closed.

I have a question for you, I have an HTC Inspire 3d from Telcel in Mexico and I wanna update to Android 4.0 ICS but I don't find wich Rom must I install because there are only roms for HTC Evo 3D, will this Evo 3d roms work on my Inspire 3D? Sorry for my bad english, i don't speak it very well...
I have the htc inspire 4G, the roms you have to use are the desire hd roms. All the ics roms for the inspire are beta and a bit buggy. I suggest cynaogenmod 7 rc2 until a better solution comes around. Hope this helps..

I'm sure I have an HTC Inspire 3D, but I think this is the same thing than HTC EVO 3D, HTC seems to only changed its name for Mexico, Inspire 3D has the same technical specifications than EVO 3D...

The HTC Inspire 4G has completely different hardware than the HTC Evo 3D.

Also you may need a different radio than the Evo 3D in the US. I'm not sure, but It's a possibility, so check into it

Well after several attempts to install King Cobra 3d, my htc did not start, stayed at boot, then I read it could be the kernel so i install it from the post of the king cobra rom and still did not work, so I had to restore my original rom : ( anyone knows what could have happened?
